Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental subscription service that formerly catered to plus sizes only, but is now far more inclusive offering sizes 0-32! Gwynnie Bee allows you to select items you like that are put in a virtual closet. The chosen items in your virtual closet are sent to you at random, but you can select priority pieces to be sent to you first. Since I started using the service, I can say I always have a lot of fun with this box!

Gwynnie Bee also has a marketplace on their site where you can buy steeply discounted used rental pieces and brand new accessories, underwear, and workout gear as well!

Gwynnie Bee February 2021 Review

This review is for each of the three-at-a-time items:

Twist Front Tiger Lily Dress by eShakti, Size 20W — Cost to Keep $42.00

If you couldn't tell, orange is my favorite color! When I spotted this eShakti dress, I knew I had to give it a go! The material is a soft t-shirt like material, which I have mixed feelings about. I love the material because it is immensely soft and stretchy, but the negative is since this is a rented piece and washed frequently, the fabric is slightly faded. You can't tell it from far away, but I can notice looking at it closer up. Regardless, this is a fantastic dress. The twist front defines and gives an Empire-like cut of sorts since it is under the chest. It also has modesty buttons so you can customize the coverage for when you are at the office or when you are out on the town! I am ready for spring already, so I wanted to style this dress with vivid and bright accessories. I paired this cutie with Psychedelic Disco Flower earrings from ActiasLunaJewelry on Etsy and Jamie style mules from B.A.I.T Footwear for some added glitz! This would also be fantastic paired with black tights, stacked Mary Jane shoes or saddle shoes, and a beret, a thick scarf, and a faux leather biker jacket for the Fall and Winter months! This easily can be worn all year round-- I love a versatile piece, I tell ya!

Broadway Lights Drawstring Dress by Anne Klein, Size 3x — Cost to Keep $51.50

If you have been following my reviews for some time, you know I have a penchant for all true vintage and retro-inspired pieces. So, you can't blame me for loving this bold pattern that harkens to the bold geometric prints of the late 60s/ early 70s. The pattern is just too perfect. The fabric is lightweight with limited stretch but has an adjustable drawstring to add more definition at the waist. I just adore this Anne Klein dress. It is well made and fashionable, but also incredibly versatile-- making it a wonderful value! I wanted to show you it styled sleeveless as I would wear it in the spring and summer, but also in the cooler weather months as well. I opted to pair it with simple black flats and white pearl-like acrylic geometric-shaped earrings. This is something I would have worn to the office or post-work outings even. The dress is long enough I don't have to worry about exposing myself when bending over or sitting.

I made sure to size up to the 3x to ensure it was roomy to show you how it looks layered. You certainly could wear a thicker sweater over top to make the dress appear more like a skirt, but I prefer wearing this piece with a turtleneck instead. The black turtleneck just effortlessly layers with the dress and doesn't add much bulk. I also styled it with big George Romero style glasses from Wherelight.com as well as off-white western-style booties. I feel as though this styling enhances the 70s vibe I love. I feel like a chubby Jane Fonda in this ensemble, so you know I am feeling my oats for sure! Imagine topping this with a camel or mustard shade coat with faux fur trim as the cherry on top of an already killer outfit!

Gold Leaf Printed Side-Tie Midi Dress by London Times, Size 3x — Cost to Keep $53.00

Last month, I reviewed a phenomenal dress from the London Times brand, and this dress is an equally fantastic example of the quality of their offerings! The print has a watercolor-like look to it, but what I love most about the design on the fabric are all the shades of gold and mustard. I also love the tie waist and the wee slit on the chest. Both enhance the fit and look of this on the body-- both give more definition and make the dress look less boxy. The fabric has ample stretch and the midi length makes it so easy and comfortable to wear. I paired the dress with my favorite mustard yellow pointy-toe mules, but this is another piece that can easily translate to the fall and winter months as well! Pair this with tights, booties, an oversized, thick knit cardigan in mustard yellow or rust, and a beanie for a cute, yet cozy ensemble!

Verdict:

This month, Gwynnie Bee really hit the mark with the three pieces they sent my way. I love all these warm-toned dresses with vintage-inspired prints and styles. I would be lucky to add any of them to my wardrobe. Plus, each of these dresses can be worn all year long depending on how they are styled-- making them phenomenal values!

Speaking of awesome deals, because Gwynnie Bee is a rental service they offer a lot of the items at a deep discount if you purchase them. They have a members-only outlet where you can get pieces at even deeper discounts as well. Add to that their frequent sales on at-home items and their rewards program-- you have numerous ways to save with their fantastic service! I have purchased dresses with retail values of over $100 for less than $15 dollars through their outlet and other discounts they offer. I cannot suggest Gwynnie Bee enough-- it is fantastic for any fashionista on a budget!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! All three pieces are available to rent.

Value Breakdown: Gwynnie Bee’s costs range depending on your subscription and how many items you are sent at a time. I have the $95.00 three-item-at-a-time plan. This includes free shipping and returns. I can get as many pieces as I like monthly, as long as I return each item first. I got three items this month. The three items total up to $146.50, which is $51.50 more than my monthly plan! Not too shabby! However, imagine the even greater value had I sent these pieces back sooner and received additional pieces! Gwynnie Bee Plus Size Clothing Box Review + 50% Off Coupon

Love all the looks, but the Jane Fonda one is my favorite! The 70s are where it’s at!!

Thank you, Kate K! Jane Fonda is a true icon! I love the 60’s and 70s eras of fashion for sure. So varied and fantastic!

All of these looks are great on you! The colours and cuts all work well. That salmon color of the first dress is particularly flattering on you (I am also a fan of that shade to the point of even owning dozens of makeup items in that color)! And I need to ask, how many pairs of shoes do you own? 🙂

Thank you so much, Mountaineer95. It is such a pretty shade. And honestly, I have lost count. SO MANY! haha

I was thinking the same thing about the shoes! Your shoe collection is impressive, I think we need a review of your shoe closet at this point 🙂
