GlossyBox Limited Edition Easter Egg 2021 Review

This limited edition GlossyBox includes a pretty pastel booklet that explains the seven products included and how to use them.

LAPCOS Pearl Sleeping Cream Spout, 0.60 fl oz.- Retail Value $6.00

I received this cream sprout in a previous GlossyBox and loved it! It says that the formula works to brighten, tone, and exfoliate your skin all while you sleep. This cream is recommended for dry skin- which is all me- and they recommend using this two times per week or as needed. All you have to do is apply it to your skin as the last step in your nighttime routine, then wash and rinse it off in the morning. The Pearl Extract and Glycolic Acid work to exfoliate your skin while the Bilberries have strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. I have used this cream twice so far and am really loving it! It is super simple to use and I love that it does the work for me through the night. I woke both mornings with a super smooth glow to my skin and an improvement in my dry areas.

Elemis Dynamic Surfacing Gel Mask Deluxe Mini, 15 mL - Retail Value $27.00

This mask has some amazing reviews! So many bloggers that I follow recommend Elemis products, and I am so excited for this to now be my second item of theirs to test. Let me start by saying that everything that I read mentioned how this mask is going to tingle while on and when it comes off. I did experience tingling while it was on, but it really kicked in when I took the mask off. I let the mask on for 8 minutes as directed and had some redness once I removed it, but it calmed down once I started to apply my evening skincare products. This mask combines patented Tri-Enzyme technology with Amazonian Acerola Cherry that encourages natural cell turnover in as early as two weeks. It targets uneven skin tone, fine lines, and any scarring, leaving your skin smooth and radiant. The thing that I love about this mask is that it is not drying while working hard to remove dead skin cells. I've only used this once so far, but I was really happy with the glow that I woke up to. I can't wait to start using this twice a week as they recommend to see even bigger results.

Bioderma Sensibio Gel Moussant Mild Cleansing Foaming Gel, 1.5 fl oz. - Estimated Value $3.97 (buy a 3.4 fl oz. here for $8.99)

My skin seems to react really well to Bioderma products, so I was really excited to give this cleanser a try. Bioderma products are really great for sensitive skin because they are created with a "NAOS approach, to respect the skin's ecosystem and preserve its health in a lasting way". This cleanser is made with Coco-Glucoside that mimics the structure of the skin to purify while still restoring and moisturizing. It also does not have a fragrance, and is soap-free so it won't strip your skin or cause irritation for anyone with extra sensitive skin like myself. I am loving this cleanser so far! It does an amazing job at removing my makeup but it doesn't leave me feeling dry and tight. Instead, my skin feels soft and silky as if it is cleaning and hydrating all at once. I might have found my new favorite cleanser!

Mademoiselle Provence Lavender & Angelica Hand Cream, 2.5 fl oz. - Retail Value $10.99

This natural hand cream is cruelty-free, vegan, dermatologically tested, and pH balanced. The cream contains natural lavender extracts, natural angelica extracts which are rich in antioxidants and vitamins, shea butter, sunflower seed oil, and candelilla wax. The cream's scent was inspired by the lavender fields in Provence, France which I absolutely love. The scent is soothing for your skin while being relaxing for you! This cream is so hydrating without being greasy, my skin just drinks it right in. I love how the scent goes on without being super overpowering, but you get this dreamy lavender scent here and there. A major bonus is that this container is so beautiful and looks lovely sitting on my window in my kitchen where the sun shines in just right and I can imagine I am in a lavender field in France.

Wander Beauty Dive In™ Moisturizer, 1.69 oz. - Retail Value $36.00

I have only used this moisturizer 3 times so far, so I'm not sure how I feel about it just yet. My skin is so dry naturally so I really need something that is super hydrating, and I hope this is going to do the trick. I am excited to continue testing it out though, and am wondering if maybe I'm just not using enough. This is a gel-cream that is super lightweight, and is recommended to use in the morning before applying your makeup because it says it provides 72 hours worth of hydration. The betaine works to soothe and soften, a Wanderberry™ Complex defends against free radicals, squalane and glycerin plumps and hydrates, while niacinamide evens your skin tone. How has this been working for my fellow dry and sensitive skin friends out there?

Bumble and bumble Surf Foam Spray Blow Dry, 1 oz. - Retail Value $17.00

My mom worked at a salon back when I was in high school that carried Bumble and Bumble, and I was totally in love with the line! I don't think I have used the products since then though, but I was really excited to see this blow-dry spray. I did try to use it back then, but I remember it left my already super thick and curly hair even bigger and somewhat sticky from the salt mineral complex. I was excited to give it a try again though, since my hair is a little different from when I was 16. This spray is part mousse and part salt spray to give you a glamorous beachy look. It also adds volume and shine. You can apply this to damp hair before blow-drying or you can apply it to damp hair with your hands to create windswept waves. Unfortunately, this formula made my hair feel sticky and super full like it did when I was a teen. I decided to see if my mom wanted this and she was so pumped! She loved this spray but had totally forgotten about it. She recently cut her hair into a chin-length bob and thought this would be great to add waves without having to do too much styling. I was really happy that this arrived right after she cut her hair so that I could pass it along to her.

Grande Cosmetics GrandeMASCARA Conditioning Peptide Mascara - Retail Value $25.00

My eyes are really sensitive, so I tend to not get very excited over a new mascara. I was pleasantly surprised by this one though! The wand was just right for me, not too long and not too big, so I was able to work it through my lashes easily. The mascara didn't clump, and it applied quickly and easily with full coverage. It is also water-resistant, so even on a warm day spent outside with my kids, this didn't fall or streak. The mascara formula is infused with peptides, panthenols, and natural waxes that help to make healthier lashes overtime.

Verdict: I was so excited to receive another Limited Edition GlossyBox! Easter is a time to welcome in spring, sun, flowers, warmer weather, everything becomes fresh and new again. The products featured also felt so fresh and a great way to transition from dry winter skin. I was so excited to try the Elemis mask, and it did not disappoint. It can be intense with the tingling, but I knew it was ok after researching the product before using it. My skin was glowing and felt so smooth the morning after using it. I can't wait to see the results over time. The Bioderma cleanser was another big win for me since their products focus on dry and sensitive skin like mine. It leaves me feeling clean without stripping my skin. The hand cream was another product that made me feel like spring and sunshine! The lavender scent is so soothing while the cream works to nourish my winter skin. I am still figuring out if the moisturizer is enough for me, but I hope that I will see results soon on if it will be enough hydration for my dry and sensitive skin. I was also so excited to see the blow-dry spray, and even though it didn't work for me, I was able to share it with my mom. The total value I estimated for their $24.00 box is $125.96 which is amazing for a Limited Edition box! For me, the whole experience was so amazing. I was honestly shocked when I opened the box to that beautiful pink egg and have used it as decoration in my house. These boxes tend to sell out quickly and I totally understand why! If you are a fan of GlossyBox, but don't want to commit to the month box, these Limited Edition boxes are perfect for you and any beauty lovers in your life!

One gripe about the Grande products that are showing up in every box: in huge font, they tout how “90-something percent” of testers agree on this or that, then in teensy print the entire test group is fewer than 32 participants. For EVERY product. Can they not find more than two and a half dozen women to test the product? Sorry, it just irks me.

I haven’t tried Wander Beauty Dive In, but as a person with very dry skin, no gel-cream I have ever tried has been moisturizing enough. Some have actually made my skin feel drier than before I used them.

Lovely review! I was on the fence on purchasing this, and so glad I ended up purchasing. I forgot how inexpensive it is. When I read that you said it was $29, I had to do a double-take before I remembered. It seems like it would have cost so much more! Definitely worth its value for me.

My egg was so stuffed that it was slightly open when I unboxed it. I could see that it was filled with that black-crinkly paper. Phew! Good one before I would have dove in and hastily dumped its contents on me bed, heh. I had to take my time unboxing and it was fun. I agree about the bumble & bumble spray–it made my hair incredibly thick but in a gross, sticky unkempt way. Definitely not the beach vibes I was going for! lol. I ended up smoothing my hair out with conditioner and gladly washed the spray out the next day. My egg is happily sitting next to my teal beauty fridge, and they look so cute together.
