Did anyone get the nail products. I just see the facial sponge

Cynthia

I chose the nail products. My box is supposed to be here Friday-finally.

Wow, this season is bad. It feels like a bunch of “customization 3” type of options…

Reply ButtonReply

Shaylee

Napkins, tech organizer, grey bag and sponge. This is my last box. I already cancelled.

Cheryl W

Really glad I canceled my box.. Not that the choices are bad.. just that I don’t need anything listed and nothing Wowed me!

Am I the only one loving the spring box! Love the color of the striped tote and multiple compartments make it more useful than standard tote, it will make a great beach bag or grocery bag. The portable charger seems practical, love that it is lightweight and compact. I often dont carry my others because heavy/bulky. Stojo cup is something I’ve been wanting for a while, and live color so excited! Just bought the water canteen from the marketplace too! Although adesse is good quality and I love their lip balm, I have also wanted to try the would sponge for my arms/feet. Torn, but will go with would sponge! All this for about $50 with two items left, loving it.

Jessica, I love this box too! I have been searching for so long, for a tote bag with tons of pockets like the Feed bag. I have been looking on Amazon for almost a year, but every bag I find they either just don’t have quite enough pockets or they are $30 or more. I couldn’t justify paying that for just a no name canvass tote bag. So for me, considering I’m getting the bag, one of the other 3 spoilers out so far, and 2 more products to come, I couldn’t pass this up! I feel for subscription box companies because they can never seem to do right by anyone.

Can’t wait to see the next 2 items!!!!!!!

Pilar

Sadly there is only 1 more item left to be released not 2.

Reply ButtonReply

Kim

And I hope that it’s a item that will wow us!

Joyce

I used to love Causebox but this one is not exciting at all. This is the last of my four. Ones and I think I need to take a break from this one.

Do seasonal subscribers get to choose any of the things, or is t completely random?

Reply ButtonReply

Emilia

Random.

Reply ButtonReply

Molly Honey

Nope. Seasonal subscribers get the left overs. They don’t get to choose anything. This will change, though, when people stop buying. Subscription boxes have run their course and are on the way out. At least the ones with the “no choice, you get what you get” model. Once you’ve received a few years of boxes, especially beauty boxes, you become on overload. You realize that you don’t need all this junk. You end up “gifting” half of the stuff. That’s one of the biggest scams perpetrated by sub boxes. That you could just “gift or donate” the stuff you don’t want. What sane person would spend money on stuff they never really wanted in the first place?
And this box is full of plastic! What an oxymoron of a sub! Causebox is one of the biggest scams out there. And people would be wise to recognize it before spending too much money that you’ll never get back. Go on a vacation, buy yourself something that you actually need or want, save your money. My opinion!

@Molly, you took so many of your comments out of my mouth =) I was lucky this past Winter and got an awesome box from CauseBox and I’m on seasonal. I was excited for the Spring box, Ha…until I saw it! I honestly can’t believe the selection and for $50! I do like the tote, but I can find a tote on Amazon that I love just as much. I hope I can still cancel!!

@Rachel, your comment actually made me laugh out loud. I am currently trying to go through ALL my makeup and skincare and organize it. I’m almost knee deep from my ungodly number of subscription boxes from the past 1.5 years. I have a HUGE “gift giving” pile as I do have multiple Ipsy Boxes and BoxyCharm subscriptions and tend to get duplicates here and there. I am also addicted to checking mysubscriptionaddiction.com multiple times a day 😛LOL. I’ll have to stop that so I don’t get FOMO after canceling.

This month I finally decided to cancel like 6-8 boxes and have kept Ipsy Glambag Plus, BoxyCharm Base Box, and I have an annual Allure. I’m hoping I enjoy CauseBox and FabFitFun summer boxes!

Rachel

You hit the nail on the head with this comment! I went through a phase where I wanted almost every box that was advertised here! Next thing I know, I’m surrounded by cute-but-too-small purses and duffles, “vegan leather” junk, and enough eyeshadow palettes to build an addition to my house with. I’m one of the few that still likes fff, so I’m just going to stick with that because I get to pick almost everything because I’m annual, same with IPSY, at least those allow skips and I usually use more stuff from those than I give away. Oh wait, I forgot Curl Box, but I use everything in those. No more new ones!

Deana

Thanks Molly! Darn, I was really considering this one, because there’s at least one item in every selection I’d be intrested in, but more duds, and with my luck, I’d get the worst item every time. I really like that bag though – maybe I’ll just search online for a cool tote for myself. 🙂

Liz

Omg I can’t believe it. It actually just got worse.

Berna

I’m thinking about getting a seasonal subscription. Can anyone clarify which categories I can make selections and which CB will make for me???

Reply ButtonReply

Izzie

As a seasonal you cannot customize anything (unless they changed the rule at the very last minute). If you subscribe as an annual, all the categories spoiled so far can be customized. Sorry :/
This season the hero item is at least the same for everybody, so if you subscribe because of the bag you’re getting one, but the color will be a mystery.

Reply ButtonReply

Ashley C

This is a really terrible box. Won’t be renewing once my annual ends. Will have to look at some other options, Causebox just keeps getting worse and worse.

Reply ButtonReply

Ashleigh

While trying to learn more about the nail treatment, I was scrolling through causebox’s fa.ce,bo.ok site and saw a post by them that the feed bag is not actually made by feed, but instead made in-house in India. I’m a little disappointed. Just a heads up.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

Huh. It might be cool if they sourced from a fair trade group in India that had their own brand, but it feels weird when brands outsource mass production of an item to other countries to apparently have it made more cheaply.

Reply ButtonReply

JJ Casuals

I actually really like the sponge. It gets very soft when wet and is a really good cleansing took in small gentle circles. But…I agree, 2 sponges, a sponge and a cleansing balm for this to be an equal pairing.

Reply ButtonReply

Kar

I’m thinking about subscribing to Bombay & Cedar and getting rid of Causebox all together.

Reply ButtonReply

NinaS

I would not do business with B&C. Had that box for two years & they started off okay, but the curation just got worse and worse. When I complained about them sending yet another detergent on social media, I was flat out told “that the box isn’t for you.” And they were right, with that level of customer service, it isn’t.

Reply ButtonReply

MM

I so regret not skipping this one.

Reply ButtonReply

Lexi

Last choice just popped on my annual CauseBox, it’s a choice between a lip treatment duo, a setting spray and an exfoliating mask.
Underwhelmed. But. It’s a practical not exciting box and I’m still ok with it…
I really wish they would ship market box with the regular box though… Getting hit with shipping to Canada is what stops me 100% from checking out the marketplace…

Reply ButtonReply

Deb

If the RV of the nail duo is $36 and the RV of the sponge is $17, why not offer two sponges?

Reply ButtonReply

Izzie

Deb, my comment didn’t post, don’t know why. Anyway, causebox added some spring box items in the market this season, and there are items belonging to the same customization category with highly different RVs that are sold pretty much at the same discounted price. I personally consider those closer to the actual RV. The nail polish retail for 10 dollars.

Reply ButtonReply

Izzie

There are some items in the same category that have big differences in RV. However, this year they added some spring box items to the market and, for example, you can get the glasses for $15(RV $85) and the napkins for $15 (RV $38). Maybe I’m wrong, but at the end I think their discounted prices reflect the real RV. The bag is priced $35: considering that it donates only 3 meals, I think it’s a more realistic RV than the $108.
(The nail polish duo is $10, but I can’t find the sponge)

Reply ButtonReply

Deb

Yep Izzie, agree 100%

Shadi

Retail value is so arbitrary in general. The nail stuff has been sold for a dollar each in other subscriptions very recently. This is a collaboration duo but the value of it is not close to 36 at all. I see people selling the nail oils for 5 bucks and the sponge for around 9. At that point just pick what will actually get used the most by you or what could be a nice gift.

Reply ButtonReply

Deb

Oh I agree with you all, the retail value is completely arbitrary and I choose what I will use. My point, which I didn’t express very well, is that if they are going to tell us what their value for something is, then they should try to put similarly “valued” items in the same category. In a category with only two choices they could have made the “RMV” equal by offering two sponges. Just a silly observation since we all know these values are overinflated. Case in point, I really like the tote bag, but would NEVER pay $108 for a canvas bag.

Molly Honey

Joy. I agree 100%! That’s the way I look at it. First off I know what I pay for these kinds of items so if a $50 box is a good value to me depends on if the items in it were going to be purchased anyway and that each item breaks down to a price that I would pay anyway. I get great deals when I shop for myself. I’m finding that I have all this stuff and really if you’re not getting at least 7 items that you WANT or need then you’re getting played. I would not order as a seasonal, ever!

Joy

Agreed. Especially for sub box items. You have to look at the personal value to you. I will happily take a $50 charger I will regularly use over a pair of $85 glasses I will never use, so my personal value for the charger is $15, because that’s what I actually spend on ones I buy and the personal value of the glasses is $0 because I will not use them and they wouldn’t make a good gift.

Jennifer

I guess the nail care duo? The clay spongue seems like it might be rough for my dry skin – might be good for elbows/knees though.

Reply ButtonReply

MzKayleeJames

It’s actually soft. It’s not like a pumice stone. It’s a tree root and when you add water it becomes soft like a sponge and it’s a gentle facial exfoliator.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

That sounds much nicer!

Bee

I already have the Adesse cuticle oil from other subs – can anyone recommend whether the Wyld sponge would be good if I used it for feet instead of face? Or is it not good either way?

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

Bee, even at its softest, it was too rough for my face. I used it on my feet. I was intrigued with this at first use. I wouldn’t repurchase.

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

So true! All the different skin and sensitivity. I used mine for facial cleansing, with cleanser. It was just too rough even when fully saturated soft.

Ashleigh

It’s funny all the disagreement about the sponge! It seems like I’m somewhere between Lara and Alice regarding how rough the sponge is – seems like we are maybe each using it differently.

Ashleigh

I don’t think this would do a good job with feet. It starts off rough but softens quickly. It is more for cleansing than exfoliating, I think.

Reply ButtonReply

Hepburn

I wish I skipped this box but I didn’t realize the deadline was yesterday. There is nothing that excites me so far.

Reply ButtonReply

Lara

Yikes, what’s up with the poor box curation. It’s almost like they picked everything as an afterthought to some other brand’s subscription leftovers…

Reply ButtonReply

Amy G

It feels like they ordered the Feed bags, then sprinted into the clearance section at TJ Maxx, grabbed everything they found on an end cap, and said “done!”

Reply ButtonReply

Shadi

Lol that’s so true. I was honestly embarrassed when I saw this choice after waiting over the weekend for it. Ever since I pulled the trigger on annual there’s been a lot of drama over the products. My first full size was the robe/towels which I skipped and we all know how that turned out. Winter was good but I don’t see it getting better anymore and I don’t want to take the risks of paying up front. Resellers will always be there if I’m really desperate for a product.

Ashleigh

I do not like that sponge. I find that it discolors and gets yucky very quickly. Also rough for face. I am surprised that is in the box again.

Reply ButtonReply

Lara

It’s a konjac sponge so it’s not supposed to be rough at all. Have you tried wetting the sponge and waiting until it softens? I’ve only ever used it when it’s totally soft and it’s awesome then.

Reply ButtonReply

Izzie

Kinda underwhelming to me.

I’m surprised there is a repeat item in a regular seasonal box, I don’t recall this being the case in the past, but maybe my memory is failing me…

Reply ButtonReply

Joy

Add me to the list of people who are disappointed to see a repeat item in one of their quarterly boxes. It’s one thing to have a repeat in an intro box but you shouldn’t be sending out the same item multiple times to your regular subscribers. I’m happy to get the tote and charger but the rest of the box isn’t looking too interesting so far.

Reply ButtonReply

Lara

It’s not a repeat from Causebox — we’ve received the same items from FitFabFun’s box a few years ago lol

Reply ButtonReply

Miz T

I bought multiple Intro and Welcome boxes last year, in addition to my regular boxes. These sponges came in at least three of them.

Glad that annuals got a choice of items. I would have been disappointed receiving yet another one of these sponges.

CA

Lara, the sponge is a repeat from a past Causebox. Maybe FFF had something similar but this was definitely in the box a couple years ago.

Izzie

I didn’t get one with fabfitfun (but I am not surprised they offered a Konjac sponge as well), but that same sponge was in both causebox’ spring 2019 and one of the summer intro boxes of 2020.

Ashleigh

I definitely got this from Causebox, but I think in one of the starter boxes or something.

Alice

Nail. Already tried the sponge. It’s a little rough for me. Better for feet than face. Don’t want another.

Reply ButtonReply

Kay

Adesse because they’ve done that sponge before.

Reply ButtonReply

Cynthia

Charger, tech organizer, solid blue bag, and Adesse nail stuff are my choices. This will be a useful box for me which is a first in a long time.

Reply ButtonReply

Lin

These are my exact same choices as well!
This spoiler is underwhelming but hopeful there will be one more nice item in this box.
