Bespoke Post "Steam" Review

I love the idea of Turkish towels and I have switched over to them for our kitchen towels. I love that they are thinner and take up less space, have a minimalist design, and I've found that they are just as absorbent as traditional towels. They are actually a lot bigger than regular towels too, but somehow still fold up smaller. I have been eyeing this box for a while and I decided to take the plunge because Bespoke Post never disappoints. Let's find out if it was worth it!

Pestemal Bath Sheets by Hateks for Bespoke Post in Sea Blue

The main items in this box are these Turkish bath towels made from 100% Turkish cotton and featuring a terry cloth back for extra absorbency. They are large at 66 x 36 inches which means when I wrap it around myself there is plenty of overlap and it even hangs down below my knees for full coverage. These are actually thicker than I expected for Turkish towels, though not quite up to big fluffy towel standards, I found them to wash well in the machine and they were definitely absorbent and soft. I love the tassel details and I think they look so classy hanging on my bathroom hook! They also take up slightly less room than traditional full terry cloth bath sheets do, so they are a little easier to store which is great for a house like ours where closet space is limited (I know! The horror!). Even though the color is called Sea Blue, it could easily pass for a gray or black and would fit in with almost any bathroom decor.

While I was unable to verify a retail value for these since they are an in-house item, I did find a similar towel here for $24.99, although it is slightly bigger than ours.

Here I am holding up the towel. I am 5'7" and this just about covered me from head to toe!

Activated Charcoal Epic Whitening Fluoride Toothpaste by Hello, 4 oz. - Retail Value $5.99 (found here for $4.82)

The next item is this toothpaste from Hello, a brand I am familiar with and one we use regularly in our house. It's also one you have probably seen samples of in subscription boxes before. In general, their pastes are free from dyes, SLS/sulfates, artificial sweeteners and flavors, parabens, and gluten to name a few. They have a broad range of pastes to meet every mouth need and this one, in particular, is a fluoride toothpaste that contains both charcoal and coconut oil to help you achieve a whiter smile. I  am no stranger to charcoal toothpaste, but I have tended to stay away from them due to the mess factor. This version in paste form is much easier to work with, although still a bit messier than other pastes. I found it to have a light minty taste, but nothing too overpowering, and it left my mouth feeling nice and clean.

Bamboo Toothbrush by Public Goods, 2 pack - Retail Value $4.00

The last item we have is this 2 pack of bamboo toothbrushes which are 100% biodegradable with natural bristles. The bristles on this toothbrush were a little on the stiffer side, but I didn't mind them. I do have sensitive gums, so I am probably more sensitive than most, but overall, this brush worked well. I love the idea of a biodegradable brush and between this and the toothpaste, I was able to achieve a good, clean mouthfeel. While I liked the toothbrush and will definitely use it (I'm curious to see how quickly this one wears down), I won't be switching over to this brand, but I will be on the lookout for something similarly eco-friendly!

Verdict: This month's Bespoke Post box was kind of a safe bet for me, but part of that is the trust that I have in this subscription box which has never steered me wrong. I knew the toothpaste and the brushes would be fine (I'm not too particular) and of course, they would get used, so the towels were the only item that could have been a miss. Luckily, they were not and I am happy with my choice this month! These towels delivered in the areas that they needed to for me; soft, absorbent, they fold up smaller than a traditional towel, and of course, I think they are very attractive! I love that this was a little box for two so that way I don't have to fight my husband for the new towel! As for the value of this box, I don't really have much to go on without a retail value for the towels, but at $48.95 ($45 + $3.95 shipping) if I take out the cost of the toothbrushes and toothpaste, that leaves $38.96 for two nice, huge quality bath sheets, which I think is a pretty good deal!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, although the Sea Blue color is currently unavailable.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $45 + $3.95 shipping and with four items inside (counting each towel separately and the toothbrush pack as one) that comes to about $12.24 per item.

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

I want to love Bespoke but it’s reading reviews like this and the Drift Box review that makes me annoyed. Both these boxes were never options for me and I never saw them doing searches. I know I created a master list a year ago with all the available boxes but it’s really disheartening seeing these fabulous boxes that I would have purchased but are now sold out. Ughhhh

I’m sorry, Stephanie! 🙁 Each month I go in and skip my choice and then I’m shown a prompt asking if I want to see more boxes. I really am not sure how their system works, but I totally get your frustration! You should be able to get notifications for this box if it comes back in stock, and a lot of times these boxes do!
