Finally got my second Surprise Me box and it’s definitely better than my first.

-Rayon crewneck stovepipe tee in sailor blue: I can’t find this on the website; I think it is the Lily tee but with a crewneck. The color is beautiful and I love it. $50

-Foundation turtleneck in black: I’m guessing this was the bonus item, but I don’t know. I got a foundation turtleneck in my previous box as well; I gave that one away, but I’ll give this one a try. $65

-Next-to-naked bodysuit in navy: I was very happy to get this; I have it in black and wear it all the time. I don’t love navy, but it’s lounge/workout wear so whatever. $95

-Bobbi gathered shoulder tee in black: This looks like a new item and I love it! $65

My scratch-off was disappointing–a free mask with a $50 purchase.

Total RV is $275 including the bonus item, plus the free mask ($15) and Soak detergent ($28) for the late shipping. Not too bad.

I don’t remember what my survey answers were; I was pretty indifferent to most of the questions and could have gone either way on them.

Overall I’m quite pleased with this box and will wear everything (with the possible exception of the turtleneck). I am a little annoyed that out of two Surprise Me boxes I ended up with six tops–would have loved some dresses or pants–but that’s the mystery box game.

Is it just me or did the later waves of boxes have more chill and interesting stuff than the early ones?
I keep reading people’s posts and the stuff just gets cooler.
Not complaining, cause you get what you get, but an observation.

I ordered a shirts, surprise, and luxe box on the 9th that came a week later and it was all usable stuff, just a bit more safe and polished than I’m about.
Luxe joggers, an Elbe shirt, a wheaton dress, striped Rhine top, that alpaca coat, a couple of V Rexs… other things that were fine but not coming to mind at the moment.

Because I’m greedy, I ordered a dress and classics box when the limit was lifted.
I got the Helen shift in black cherry, the short sleeve crew neck foundation dress in mocha, and a green ribbed maxi “Tshirt dress” with a high neck and slits up the side, as well as plum Moro pants, a red Riley zip pullover, a navy foundation turtleneck, and a black button down in some kind of viscose blend.

Overall I got some really nice stuff with both orders, but my as well as other people’s early arrival orders just seem a bit more reserved while the later orders’ contents seem funkier.

I’m thinking about buying the Talfer or the Willa…. I ended up selling the Willow because I could have “layered” another person in it!! It was too big everywhere.

Reply ButtonReply

Elizabeth

You got the Talfer?! I would have died for that or the Willa. I ended up with the Willow in blush, but it was enormous on me – looked like I was playing dress up!
I agree with you 100% about the later boxes – they seemed much more interesting. I bought Luxe & Classic. The Classic came 2 weeks after the Luxe & was much more interesting….

Reply ButtonReply

TheSpacePope

I got the Talfer and it is beautiful, just a tad narrow in the shoulders.
The blush Willow looks super pretty.
Since it’s on the big side does it layer well?

Received my 2xs classic box today. I chose cold weather, casual, v neck, colors, no dresses, and like jeans. I received:
– Aster tuxedo collar shirt in pearl blue
– Joni high rise curve skinny jeans in soft black
– Kelsey denim jacket in black
– T rex shirt in slate
Overall, I’m happy with it. The aster shirt seems high quality and I love the hidden snaps so it doesn’t gape in bust. It’s not really my style though, so it’s going up for swap. I like the jeans, but they are a bit baggy in the thighs and hips, so not sure if I’ll keep or swap them. I love the jean jacket and T rex shirt! I also won a free t shirt in the scratch off (but I have to pay shipping).

I got my first mystery box yesterday that I ordered on Feb. 11th, I ordered my 2nd on the 17th. This one was the Classic Box and I chose warm weather, bright colors in 3xs. I received:
-Donna High Rise Curve Jeans size 8, 27”: very comfortable and great quality but they’re too big, so I’ll try to swap.
-Elbe Shirt in white: great fit and nice quality
-Paloma Linen Blazer in Black: Great classic piece
-Tee Rex in Black: free item, love the material
I like that I received an outfit that I will wear and that everything fits well but, I wish they would have followed the survey.

My last box arrived today, email rec’d over weekend that it was shipping. It is the classic box. In it are:
Etta jeans 31″ in black wash
grace eco shirt in emerald
long sleeve tesino dress, deep red, V neck
and the fourth extra item, navy foundation cami
Excited to get a pair of jeans, they are loose fit but 98% cotton so its ok if they shrink. Happy about cami, have white one and wearing it under almost everything! Great layering piece.
Blouse fits great, looks good on, this is a basic and it will get lots of wear. Tesino dress is comfy, I’ll wear around, bit on the long side but will use for casual wear.
Overall, all useful items that I will wear and enjoy.

EC

I received almost this exact box today for my Classics box, except with a long sleeve navy shirt instead of the cami. It’s not the warm weather neutrals I’d hoped/asked for and I don’t know if I’ll be able to get used to the leg width on the jeans but it was an interesting glimpse into the brand.

ElleS

Received my “Tops” box today, in size XXS. All black tops, and here’s what I got:
-V Rex Tee – Black – Love this! Soft fabric, very flattering fit and cut. My favorite thing in the box.
-Mackaya Luxe Twill Knot Top – Black – Not an item I would buy if I saw it on a rack but wow, the fabric is really luxe! It feels silky and cool to the skin. Kinda office casual/dressy so I can see myself wearing this to the office once the Pandemic dies down.
-Foundation Short Sleeve V Neck Tee-Black – This one is just weird. Not sure if it’s supposed to be an undershirt? It’s very form fitting, but a thin (almost see-through) fabric and so long that it could almost be worn as a dress. I don’t know if/when I’d wear this.

Pretty happy with this. 2/3 great items isn’t bad.

My Tops box was shipped out before they sent an email saying that all remaining orders would receive an extra item. Still waiting on a Surprise and Dresses box, so it will be interesting to see what extras they ship with them.

Reply ButtonReply

ElleS

Is anyone else still waiting on their boxes? I’ve only had 1 out of 3 shipped, and last week, they sent an email saying that we’d be receiving an extra item in the boxes because of the delay and that they would be shipped out “Early next week”. It’s now “late next week” and still no shipping info on my other 2 boxes.

Reply ButtonReply

Elle

I ordered a Tops, Classic, and Lounge box.

Tops – up to $250 value.
My items add up to $160.

Classic – up to $434 value.
My items add up to $298.

Lounge – up to $290 value.
My items add up to $178.

To say that I’m disappointed is an understatement. The value advertised was not guaranteed but I feel that US has too good of a reputation to send out three boxes with this big of discrepancy.

Reply ButtonReply

Lo

I got an email yesterday saying my remaining four would be shipped together and set to arrive on Saturday by UPS. Interestingly, this order was placed days before another shipment that arrived weeks ago. Not really sweating it, though — I vaguely remember placing big orders in previous years and them coming much later than those here on the MSA comments.

Reply ButtonReply

Ariadne

I’m still waiting on my second box. I got the mask and Soak detergent, but no word on the box. So much for “early next week.”

Reply ButtonReply

Kate

I’m still waiting on two. I did get an email Monday saying they were shipped UPS (not UPS sure post). They are supposed to be delivered tomorrow, but I’m taking that with a huge grain of salt because of where the box is right now and how UPS works where I live.

So hopefully yours will be shipping soon!

Abigail Smith

I placed my order on February 10th (3 boxes-dress, premier, luxe) and I still haven’t received my order.

However—Yesterday I did receive in the mail a reusable face mask and Soak kit (a mesh bag with a small bottle of Soak liquid) so I guess I can’t be too annoyed.

Reply ButtonReply

Laryssa Polika

I received this too but I have to wonder if it was on purpose cross promotion? I ordered two sets of boxes and I received the order I placed later but not the one during the presale (Feb 9).

Reply ButtonReply

Saffie_girl

I did not get the email either. I got the mask and soak today. While I appreciate the gesture, I wish they had saved themselves the cost and effort as I won’t use either (mask does not fit me well and I have to be super careful with laundry soap due to allergies).

MisaMisa

Maybe it went to your spam? I would email them if you want the unique 15% off code.

Laryssa Polika

No I didn’t get that email

MisaMisa

Did you receive the email with the subject, “A little gift from us”? It said that our orders will be shipped early next week and to make up for it, they sent the soak/mask and a 15% off code. It also said “don’t be confused if you find an extra piece in your box – we added a fourth style for you!”

Casi

received my luxe box today
-Derjoin trench
-cupro Rubicon shirt dress
-cameron caridigan

By my calculations the total value of the box is $446, which is lower than the the advertised value of the premiere and polished boxes. Although I’ll probably get wear out of the items, they definitely aren’t what I would have considered Luxe (particularly the polyester cardigan). This is my third year of mystery boxes and probably will be my last.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

I didnt risk the Luxe but the Derjoin trench would have been cool. I’ve seen a lot of complaints about un-Luxe fabrics in the Luxe box and severely undercutting the expected value. Though, they did cover themselves by saying “up to” – technically they could have sent pieces worth the same as the box cost and be covered by that.

My tops box was just two t-shirts and a casual top (all short sleeved when I put long sleeved/polished) rv $160 out of a possible $250. Since their shirts pretty much start at 50 it’s like they threw the cheapest possible stuff in.

Lars

My box finally arrived!

I got the lounge box (in small)
Dolci top in black (LOVE!)
Mola pants in black (good)
Jackson sleeveless jumpsuit in maritime blue (big nope)

Dresses (in medium)
Long sleeve v neck Geneva in storm (estatic and in love!)
Hannah denim shirt dress in black (pretty short on me, but not bad)
Miss dress in evening blue (super odd, but maybe it’ll grow on me)

This was my first experience with US, and the comfort factor is 💯 so I’m actually really happy even though I’d say I love only 3 of my 6 pieces. And I’ll wear 2 of the other 3. As for the Jackson? I’ve never tried a weirder, unflattering drop crotch jumper before! I just don’t think I can do it. 🤣🤣

I received all of my boxes today. On 2/9 I had ordered a luxe, athleisure, and lounge. On 2/16 I ordered another athleisure. The three arrived in one box and the athleisure arrived in another. I knew I was taking a risk of getting duplicates by ordering two athleisure boxes even though it was days apart. Unfortunately both athleisure boxes were the same so I have duplicates of each item.

Athleisure:
Easy active tee in scarab
Cropped mesh leggings in black
Knockout bike short in ivy

Lounge:
Dolci tee in black
Lauren core sweatshirt in grey
Hathaway jogger in black sand

Luxe:
Claudia cardigan in black cherry
Cupro rubicon shirt dress in military olive
Derjon trench coat in navy

Reply ButtonReply

Kate

Yesterday I received my athleisure ($95) box. I had hoped to also receive the Surprise and Classic boxes too, but they were on separate orders. It does look like as of yesterday there is a tracking number on My USPS from Elk Grove IL so sometime next week I’ll receive the last two boxes.

In my box I got:

Danika Mesh Legging in Navy ($88)
Zoe Half Zip Funnel Neck Pullover ($89) This was just posted on their website today.
Next to Naked tank in black ($50?) This is also new and not on the website, I’m guessing as to what it will cost and I’m probably guessing too low.

This wasn’t what I was hoping I would get but I still like the box. I wasn’t 100% sold on was the half-zip until I looked at it in the mirror. It actually looks better on me than I was expecting, I love the blue color, and it will be a good layer as we move into Spring.

I don’t 100% remember what my survey answers were. I said no shorts, I wanted colors, and I prefer longer-length pants. I also opted for colder weather items as it was the beginning of February and I thought I would be getting my box much sooner than I did (ha!). The other nice thing was the leggings were an M and the rest were an L. I don’t remember if I said that I wanted the pants in a smaller size or if they looked at my purchase history, saw all my athleisure pants were a size smaller, and then sent me that size on their own.

This is a long post to say I’m happy with this box and I hope my luck holds for the next two boxes!

Reply ButtonReply

Katie

Ordered 3 boxes
Athleisure
1.Geo mesh leggings – navy
2.Next to naked tank top – navy – nice outfit if it fit.
3.Knockout bike shorts – ivy. They’re like Spanx but uglier. Would never wear them

Classic (like jeans n sweater in picture)
1.Moro eco pocket pants -black sands. Pockets gap, strange fit, certainly doesn’t look classic to me.
2.Wren eco pocket shirt -current. Shiny front button shirt down to mid thigh. Is it a shirt or a short dress? ? But not classic. Ugly dark pink color. Did I mention shiny like cheap satin?
3. Kelsey denim jacket- black. Not exactly warm weather gear

I ordered a surprise box but canceled it after I got these two.
On the survey:
I requested warm weather clothes because I live in Texas
I requested jeans, casual clothes.
I requested neutral on one and colorful on other

I live in my US jeans from last year. Was hoping for something I could wear for my $200+ but nope.

Pam

I finally received my athleisure box today, and am beyond excited. I received:

Barre Legging in Navy – I can’t find these on the website, but they are so unbelievably soft.
Fiona Open Side Sweatshirt in Black Cherry – this is the most practical piece in the box, and will probably become my go-to sweatshirt.
Long Sleeve Easy Active Tee in Scarab – This piece fights a little tighter than the other 2, but I hope I can make it work as a layering piece.

Last year’s tops box wasn’t a hit for me, so I’m happy this box was more my style.

Reply ButtonReply

Anne

Great box! I should receive my athleisure box tomorrow. I’d be happy with any of those items but especially the Fiona sweatshirt. 🤞

Reply ButtonReply

LB

I just received my boxes and love everything! By reading other comments, I was worried I would be disappointed, but I guess I lucked out.

Petite box 2xs: Roya leggings in black, Geneva s/s dress in navy, v rex in black

Athleisure box 2xs: knockout bike short in ivy, l/s active tee in black, amy pullover hoodie in taupe (so soft!)

Reply ButtonReply

Judy

I am so hoping for that hoodie… you got a great box!! 😊

My athleisure and tops box arrived today. Rec’d the short body suit, in dark green, mesh leggings in black sand and a black smart tee. Quite excited to get the bodysuit and leggings, they are perfect for yoga and just what I needed. The leggings stay up! Very soft and fit well. Body suit is comfortable and soft. The smart tee works with either as a workout top. Very pleased with these.

The tops box contained an assortment of more tees – teal genevette, pale blue cap sleeve ashley and long sleeve cherry Tee Rex, all crew necks. I can always use more tees, especially as soft and well made as these. Best part was the scratch off card inside, I rec’d code for $50.00 off denim. New jeans on the way as I type!

I’m quite happy with my boxes.

Lo

The smaller of my two orders came in today even though I bought it after my big order — UPS tracking had it coming next week, so it was a welcome surprise to have it early!

I was introduced to the brand by MSA when they ran a mystery box a few years ago and fell in love with the brand — I estimate that 50-75% of my wardrobe is now US purchased through boxes, sales, ThredUp, Posh, and the BST group on FB. So basically, I knew what to expect in terms of style, fit, and estimated retail value and that I would likely get something I already own. Just throwing that in there bc it always seems like there are a few folks who get royally pissed that they don’t receive the most expensive piece in the catalog when t-shirts and t-shirt dresses are like half of their collection.

Lounge in M: I got a Jackson jumpsuit, Dolce top and Hathaway joggers which I’m very happy with. Both the Dolce and Hathaway came in sage which I think is a new colorway for the pieces.

Surprise me in S: Geneva dress, stovetop sleeve T-Rex and long sleeve T-rex. The geneva came in berry which is funny because I got the same exact dress in one of last year’s mystery boxes, but I love it so it works.

Overall, I’m really happy. The pima cotton pieces wear beautifully, and I’m not very precious with them — they go in the dryer, and I still don’t get any pilling. I don’t think I’ve had to retire any US pieces due to wear in at least two years, so they last a long time as long as you wash them in cold water. Really looking forward to my next shipment!

Lars

I also got the Jackson jumpsuit and I think it’s the ugliest thing I’ve ever tried. I’d love to swap it it for almost anything! 🤣

Like another user, I saw that my box finally was in transit (label was created over a week ago), and then box was delivered today. Looks like UPS might still be struggling after the storms.

This was my first US order and I’m really pleased. I ordered three boxes. The Mystery box I ordered a Medium, the others Small. I got a several dark T-shirts, but I’m not unhappy about it.

Polished box:
Silvia slim cut trousers black 18 $130? Not wool, a satin like fabric. Not convinced about the pleats yet, but pants fit great.
Cambria luxe twill top black S $118 My favorite.
Mackaya luxe twill knit top white S $118 Love this too.

Mystery box:
Geneva dress navy M $120 A bit too casual for work but I think this might grow on me.
Long sleeve tee merlot M $60 Nice.
Stovepipe sleeve navy M $50 Great tee.

Tops box:
Foundation l/s v neck tee black S $54 Another nice basic T.
Foundation s/s crew neck bodysuit white S $62 This actually fits great. Close fitting and not entirely opaque but but cute and comfortable.
Vrex black S $50 I’ll repurchase this.

Got the lux box and athleisure box. I don’t think they paid any attention to preferences except maybe color. I got a shirt dress in the box (I hate dresses) and a crew neck top in the other box (I wear v necks).

Was the luxe box supposed to be a three piece outfit? I got the shirt dress, a trench, and cardigan. Was really hoping for the leather jacket they had in the picture.

Cay

I just received my 2 mystery boxes. Tops and mystery. I received 4 short sleeve black tops out of the 6 items. I’m beyond disappointed and feel duped. The other 2 items were a dark gray tee and navy body suit. I haven’t calculated value yet, but I’m very unhappy with this experience. I emailed customer service, but I’m not hopeful they will do anything about it. Needless to say I will never purchase anything from them again.

Reply ButtonReply

Cay

Surprise box not mystery. Whoops

Reply ButtonReply

Cynthia

My tops and surprise boxes arrived today. Everything came in one small box so I’m not sure which is which, but suppose the tees are the tops box and the nicer tops are the surprise box.

Arvo cupro mix tee in black
Foundation turtleneck in navy
Elbe shirt in maritime blue (on my wishlist)

L/S Tee Rex in black cherry
V-Rex in navy blazer (on my wishlist)
Ashley cap sleeve in teal

All in all I’m happy and would purchase again.

Reply ButtonReply

Ariadne

I got a surprise box with the Arvo tee, foundation turtleneck in navy, and the vee rex in navy blazer, so I think those might go together.

Reply ButtonReply

Cynthia

Thanks! Wish they would have specified in case I only want one box next time.

Amanda

After getting shipping notification yesterday morning for one box, all three of my boxes arrived today! I am pretty pleased with them.

Classic: Long Sleeve Testino in Black (est. $88), Moro Pocket Pants in Black Sand ($85), Wren Eco Shirt in Currant (est. $128)

Athleisure: Danica Mesh Leggings in Black Sand ($88), Next-to-Naked Tank in Scarab (est. $35), Half-Zip Funnel Sweatshirt (est. 98)

Surprise: Geneva dress in Scarab ($120), Rhine Color Block in Black/White ($60), and Maia Stovepipe Sleeve Tee in Navy ($50).

So I’d estimate around $750 of clothing, when I paid $250 (used a 10% off code). Somethings I love–I have the Moro pants in Black and they are amazing, so happy to have another pair in a different color. Some things I’ll definitely want to trade or sell: I already have a green Geneva and a navy Maia tee. But it was a good experience–way better than last year’s, when I was super-bummed about a disappointing luxe box.

Off to join the facebook US B/T/S group!

Are people still waiting for their boxes? I ordered on Feb 9th during the presale and I have not received my boxes. Sort of frustrated.

Reply ButtonReply

Ariadne

I ordered one one the 11th and it arrived a week or so ago. The one I ordered on the 17th has not been shipped.

Reply ButtonReply

Pam

I ordered Feb 17th and still haven’t received my box. On the bright side, last year the same thing happened, and they threw in an extra piece to make up for the waiting. I’m crossing my fingers that happens again.

Just received my lounge box. I’m not unhappy but wouldn’t have purchased it had I known what I was going to receive. I got:
* Sleep T-Shirt Dress in Pearl Blue
* Sleep Tee in Pearl Blue
* Hathaway Joggers in Deep Sea
I’m 5’0, so the sleep dress comes down to the floor – not actually usable for me. The Sleep Tee fits me more like a sleep dress, hitting right above the knee. The joggers are lovely.

It seems like they didn’t follow survey, which said I’m under 5’4” – the sleep dress shouldn’t have been sent to petite folks. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Either way, I’m excited about the joggers – although I could have purchased those at full retail and saved money by not getting two items I’m not thrilled with.

Ellen

My tops and athleisure boxes both arrived today and I was pleasantly surprised that they mostly matched my survey answers (cool weather, long sleeves, v neck, no shorts, neutral colours, polished).

Tops Box: Mackaya Luxe Twill Knot in black; Foundation Long Sleeve V Neck in black; V Rex t-shirt in black. Maybe a little boring to get all black tops, but I will get a lot of wear out of all three pieces.

Athleisure Box: Cooper Jogger Pant in navy; Next to Naked Tank in navy; Boat Neck Raglan Top w/ Side Zips in teal. I can’t find the tank or top on the website, but the tank looks like the top of the next to naked bodysuit and the raglan top is a soft sweatshirt in a darker, muted teal… very comfy. I really love that all three pieces work as an outfit and I think they nailed the “polished” athleisure look.

Both my scratch cards were for 10% off so I wasn’t completely lucky, but I am very happy overall!
