KitNipBox December 2020 Review

KitNipBox has monthly themes. Around holidays, there are holiday themes, but you can never predict what it’ll be at other times. This month had a Christmas theme.

On to the items:

Santa Hat Wand Cat Toy – Listed Value $7

There’s often – but not always – a wand toy in Kitnipbox. This one is a little different because the whole string is essentially the dangle part, and the string is a great, soft, sort of velvety thing that the cats found very interesting (and were able to hook their claws into).

Kitty All-Nip Crinkle Reindeer Kicker Cat Toy – Listed Value $7

This is interesting in that it has a crinkly part, a felt part (the antlers), and a plush part. Sneaky enjoyed it when I would hide treats under the antlers and she would have to dig them out. Although this is listed as a kicker, it’s a lot smaller and lighter than most kickers, so my cats are a little more into it.

Safemade All-Nip Happy Snowman Cat Toy – Listed Value $6

This one is stuffed with all catnip and no stuffing so it kind of has a beanbag texture and the effect on the kitties is a little stronger, which is always fun. Both boys wanted to rub their faces all over this.

All for Paws Elf Stocking Toss Cat Toy – Listed Value $5

This one was mostly interesting to Madison; he liked the little puff/feather things on either end. He is generally quite into feathers and similar features on toys although sometimes he tries to eat them (he didn’t here).

Max Holiday Gnome Cat Toy – Listed Value $5

This is a small felt toy and was another one the boys liked to rub their faces on. It is lightweight and seems well-made. There were a lot of different textures this month and that is something my cats are really interested in.

All for Paws Holiday Sweet Treat Cat Toy – Listed Value $4

Sneaky showed a lot of interest in this, which is a little unusual as it’s not her typical type of toy, but whatever. However, I suspect Monkey will be the one to play with it most, as it rolls around quite a lot and is light so a cat can move it pretty far on their own.

Wellness Kittles Grain Free Chicken and Cranberry Recipe Cat Treats (2 oz) - Retail Value $2.37

These treats are always well-liked by my cats. Plus they’re small so they’re not too many calories. Sneaky lives for treats but she is a little heavy so it’s nice to get smaller treats, for her sake, so she can still have something. But Madison and Monkey liked these too.

On to the kitties:

(Sneaky is calico, Monkey is tan and white, and Madison is black.)

Verdict: I calculated a total value of $36.37 for the December KitNipBox. I did have to primarily use the information provided on the card insert to determine values, but I'd say the box contents were fairly typical for this subscription, as was the value. These are not toys you will get in a dozen other cat subscription boxes and they do always fit the chosen theme nicely. They also almost always have a lot of different textures, which is something my cats appreciate (they are older cats). The treats were hugely popular this month but pretty much everything got some interest from at least one of my cats.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Your first KitNipBox will ship right after your payment processes, so you should still be able to get December's box if you sign up now.
