November 2020 So Susan Color Curate Review

Our included info card had a super cute shell design and a list of all of the products inside.

Limited-Edition Makeup Bag, October 2020 - Retail Value $12.00

The pattern this month is inspired by knit! The interior was a pale yellow.

So Susan Cosmetics Dream Maker in 'Mirage', 10 mL - Retail Value $29.00

I have another shade of this from a previous delivery and I really like these creams. They are like a sheer wash of super dazzling shimmer. This particular color is in a sheer pearl base and it has blue and soft gold reflections. It is a bit cool for me to use as a highlighter but it looks very pretty on lids.

It has a really lovely blue and golden shift.

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Tiger Lips in 'Fearless', 7 mL - Retail Value $12.00

This is some of the cutest packaging I have ever seen! I love these little tigers on the pink background. The lip color inside is also really great, but it is so pigmented that applying it with a finger really isn't ideal because so much color is left behind. This might be better suited to an actual applicator sort of tube. It also looked like mine had some separation but this was easily remedied by squeezing the tube a little. The finish of this lippie is super glossy and it also smells great too!

'Fearless' is a great name for this shade!

So Susan Cosmetics - Color Trip High-Intensity Color Pigment in 'Hedonist', 2.3 g - Retail Value $18.00

I could go the rest of my life without more of these pigment pots arriving in this subscription, but they seem to have become a staple. I just don't use things like this and the fact that this is actually a rough glitter would scare me from ever using it around my eyes, even with glue or primer. It is a shame because the color is actually really cool! It is a neon pink with an electric lemon glitter.

Pretty, but so scratchy!

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Celestina in 'Winter Solstice', 12 g - Retail Value $35.00

Our last item is a highlighter/eyeshadow palette. The three shades inside are super neutral and very pretty. There is a warm pearl shade, champagne, and a bronze. All three are shimmery and nicely pigmented, with a smooth texture. I could easily see all three of these working anywhere on the face, though my favorite is that middle shade. It's a stunner when used on my cheekbones with a nice, fluffy brush!

Top to bottom: Twilight, Subsolar, Zenith.

Verdict: So Susan Color Curate has a value of $106 this month which is a good value for a $20.59 bag. The only miss here for me this month was the loose pigment, but we all know how I feel about those. The palette was quite lovely, though nothing too out of the ordinary, I loved the lip color, and I am happy to add another Dream Maker cream to my stash.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Hedonist would look awesome as a nail glitter *-*

Wow, I wish that pigment pot was regular shadow. I love that shade, so unique! What a shame 🙁

I agree! It was just so rough..

Yeah I can’t get behind glitter for the eye area either 😂

I certainly wouldn’t use this kind of loose pigment anywhere near my face … but is great for craft projects (like regular glitter) – I mix it with glue and decorate decoupage projects with it!

I mean, who doesn’t want tiger lips? 😂

Yikes, the first ingredient in the pigment pot is PET. That’s literally plastic. Bad for your eyes & bad for the environment!
