Rocksbox is a jewelry styling and renting service. Members pay a flat rate every month to get unlimited access to the Rocksbox collection and the option to buy the pieces they love most at a discounted price. Right now, you can even get your first month of Rocksbox membership for free! (Read on to learn how, or check out our list of other free subscription boxes here!)
FYI - COVID-19 Update: You can read about how Rocksbox is committed to the safety of its team, subscribers, and community here.
Upon subscribing, you'll take a "style survey" so Rocksbox can suggest jewelry pieces that fit your style. You can also browse their catalog and add pieces to your wishlist. Each month, Rocksbox will curate sets of three pieces to send your way, including at least one piece from your wishlist.
Try on the items from the box and wear them as long as you'd like. From there, you have two choices. If you love any of the pieces enough to want to keep them, you can put your monthly "Shine Credit" towards your purchase.
Or, if you're ready for another style, return your box using the free shipping label and reusable envelope you got with your shipment. Shortly after, you'll get a brand new box of jewelry to enjoy!
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Rocksbox Rental Jewelry October 2020 Review
Here's the info booklet that came with the jewelry set. It includes a product list with retail and member-specific pricing. Also included was a jewelry care card.
A free return shipping label is also at the bottom of the box.
FYI: The outer envelope that Rocksbox ships inside doubles as a return shipping envelope! Be careful as you cut it open—there's a second adhesive strip that can be used to reseal the envelope for its trip back.
Sophie Harper Pizza Studs - Retail Value $45.00, Member Price $38.00
I love a quirky and cute little stud. And these crystal-encrusted pizza slices are adorable! Sure, I don't eat pepperoni...and I prefer pineapple on my pizza so these studs SHOULD be yellow, but I realize pink was a safer choice for most palettes out there. Did I just make this review controversial? Oops! Anyway, these are really precious, tiny, and they make me smile. I love the literally golden crust and how tiny and easy to wear these are.
#teampineapple y'all!
WILDE London Choker - Retail Value $55.00, Member Price $46.00
This was a pick from my wishlist!
I have a small collection of trade beads and different antique ones and some of my favorite are these Parisian sequin beads that I haven't had the heart to turn into anything yet. These are similar in style, but a little smaller. I love that they are paired with little drum-shaped turquoise beads to make them a little more boho. This was a great necklace except for the fact that the clasp and extender chain felt too flimsy for this necklace that is a lot weightier than it looks.
Love 'em!
Aster Reed Hoops - Retail Value $60.00, Member Price $51.00
This was a pick from my wishlist!
I didn't like these hoops as much as I thought I would. I think I just am way too partial to the huggie style of closure that is nearly seamless and doesn't change the look of the hoop part of an earring. I also think these would have been much prettier if the pearls had been freshwater and had those beautiful irregularities that glass simply doesn't have. The positives are that these are classic, lightweight, and still cute.
The Verdict: My Rocksbox pieces this round were mostly hits, though I didn't love the hoop earrings. This might be the first month where I think I could have made better choices for my wishlist. Still, I did end up wearing all of these pieces at least once (aside from taking a picture of them) which is a plus.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Every box is different and packed based on the customer's tastes and what's available at the time. You can, however, give the Rocksbox stylists a nudge by adding your favorite pieces to your wishlist!
Value Breakdown: Rocksbox membership costs $21 per month. At retail, the three pieces would cost me $160. With my Rocksbox discounts and the member pricing (including the buy-all-three-items discount, and the $21 of Shine Credit (the membership fee for the month, which goes towards your purchases), my $10 forever credit, and the $10 buy-all-three discount, that price drops to $89.
