KitNipBox November 2020 Review

KitNipBox has monthly themes. Around holidays, there are holiday themes, but you can never predict what it’ll be at other times. This month had a Halloween theme, although it was a November box that arrived in November.

On to the items:

LEAP Bobbing for Apples Wand - Listed Value $7

Most months with KitNipBox, you will receive a wand-type toy. This one has a good stick-to-string ratio (i.e., the string isn't too long, which is sometimes a problem with other wands) and the apple part is a good plush for the kitties to catch with a claw or two. Sneaky is my wand cat although Madison also showed some interest in this one.

Safemade All Nip Book of Potions - Listed Value $5

This one is a fold-out "book" that has no stuffing, only catnip. Unfolded, this would be a decent size for a kicker/wrestler toy, but my cats mostly wanted to cuddle with it or rub their faces on it. I'm just fine with this; they are older cats after all, and I figure any interaction with a toy is a good interaction!

Playful Pet Lollipop - Listed Value $5

Ah, a noisy toy. This one is currently in the home office because Monkey has this habit of finding toys in the night and playing with them, and he has caused me to wake up before. So. Anyway, this has a stuffed plush top part that is a good size for biting and clawing as well as a stick part. My cats were honestly equally interested in both parts.

Paws n' Purrs All Nip Bubbling Cauldron - Listed Value $5

Felt toys are pretty popular around here. Not only is this a felt toy, but it is an "all catnip" toy so there's no stuffing. The outer texture was well-received by my cats, as felt toys usually are. This is also lightweight and of a size that there are several ways a cat could play with it (face rubbing/cuddling, tossing, wrestling, etc.).

All for Paws Meowloween Kicker - Listed Value $5

Here is a kicker, but it's on the small side. Sneaky was a fan of this one – she licked it. (I did get a picture; please see below.) This has cotton-like outer fabric which is different from all this month's other toys. (You can usually count on KitNipBox to provide different toy textures and I like that since my cats like that, too.)

'R Squad Three Spooky Mice - Listed Value $4

You can't go wrong with furry mice. Madison is my furry mouse-loving cat although there was general interest in these. Although the inner bodies are plastic, the outer fur is good for hooking with a claw or a tooth. These are lightweight and already scattered all over my bedroom (I guess the cats have been playing!).

Purebites Freeze Dried Chicken Treats (0.6 oz) - Retail Value $3.39 (found here for $2.39)

Usually, my cats are not super interested in freeze-dried meat, but they did eat this (all of them did). I like getting single-ingredient treats because they keep potential allergens to a minimum. This is made in the U.S. and comes in a resealable package for freshness. It's also not stinky. And if you crumble it up, you can use it as a food topping to entice your cat to eat.

On to the kitties:

(Sneaky is calico, Monkey is tan and white, and Madison is black.)

Verdict: I calculated a total value of $34.39 for the November KitNipBox. As usual, most of the items were not available online. (I think they come to KitNipBox direct from wholesalers.) I think it is a little bit strange that a Halloween-themed box was set up as a November box but, honestly, my cats don't care what the toys look like. I appreciated the variety of toy types and sizes (so did my cats) and the treats were also a win this time. I would say this was a typical month for this subscription.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Your first KitNipBox will ship right after your payment processes, so you should still be able to get November's box if you sign up now.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $29.99 including free shipping, so you are paying approximately $4.28 per item.
