Fabletics is a monthly fitness apparel subscription co-founded by Kate Hudson. In fact, it's one of our readers' top picks for Best Fitness Subscription Boxes of 2020! The VIP Membership is $49.95/month and allows you to choose from outfits and sets that have been put together just for members at a discounted price.

You can shop Fabletics in two ways—you can shop the regular store, or you can sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:

  • Take the Fabletics quiz, which will let the company know your size, style, and fitness needs.
  • Each month, Fabletics will curate looks that match your preferences. According to the website, outfits start at $24 for new VIP members.
  • Shop those looks at 40-50% off what you'd get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $49.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
  • As you shop, you'll also earn points that can be applied to accessories and other cool fitness essentials.

Put simply, this subscription won't automatically send you monthly packages as other services do. (But they will automatically charge you if you take no action.) You have to hop into your account and either decide to add items to your card or skip it. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, though you do have to call Fabletics customer service to do so.

FYI, COVID-19 Update:

Ready, Set, Ship: Our shipping times are now 100% back to normal & select retail stores have reopened, but health & safety is still our top priority. Read more here.

Fabletics VIP Membership Review - November 2020

If you have read my previous reviews, you know it has taken me a bit to figure out the tricks of the trade in terms of securing my desired items each month. In my experience, I have found anywhere from 4:00 - 5:00 a.m. is the best time to order. I save my favorite items in my cart the day before, set my alarm and, BOOM, order. That being said, the first of November was the day after Halloween and daylight savings time, so I forgot to set my alarm... I raced down to my computer at 7 a.m. and previously I would have been trying to navigate through a crashing Fabletics website, but this month I got right on and was able to order...phew! Even though it was Sunday, I received my tracking info several hours later, and received my order 6 days later. Considering the first month I ordered and didn't receive my shipment for 3 weeks, I was pretty excited to have this one within a week. Let's see what was in store for November.

While we didn't receive a paper invoice in our package, we did receive a coupon for 10 free meals from Hello Fresh with a purchase. I have used this service in the past and I love it! Check out our in-depth review for HelloFresh here!

Mila High-Waisted Pocket Capri - Retail Value $64.95 /VIP Member Price $49.95 or when purchasing the Lateral 2-Piece Outfit - $49.95

Now that I am working from home, yet again, black leggings are an absolute staple in my daily life. As soon as I get up, I put them on, do my workout, shower, put on my outfit (consisting of another pair of leggings), and start work. If I have to be zooming all day, I want to be comfortable doing it! These high-waisted capris are everything I look for in a pair of leggings and then some. The high-waist support is designed using their PowerHold fabric that has maximum compression and flatters figures of all shapes and sizes. This particular version features mesh panels up the sides to help them be more airy and breathable. My favorite component of these capris is the fact that they contain THREE pockets. There are 2 deep pockets on each side (a perfect place to store a cell phone or wallet) and a small pocket on the inside waistband. They also are moisture-wicking, non-chaffing, and offer UPF protection. Because of the pockets and the fact that these hold my mom belly in, I adore these and have already been wearing them frequently. Also, because these were featured with a pullover this month for $49.95, I just had to bite - these leggings would have been that price on their own otherwise!

Stacey Pullover - Retail Value $64.95/VIP Member Price $49.95 or when purchasing the Lateral 2-Piece Outfit - $49.95

After going out of my comfort zone last month and choosing a crop top, I decided to go back to my roots and opt for something a little less revealing. When I scoured the outfits they chose for me, I was instantly drawn to those mesh capris, and although I usually prefer darker colored tops, I just had to try out this oatmeal hued pullover. This soft, long-sleeved shirt features a terry cloth inside and definitely fits on the loose side. As you can see in the photos, it is a lot wider than it is long. I do wish this top would have been a couple of inches longer, as my mid-section is something I tend to like to hide, but it's not so short that it's a deal-breaker. This top paired with the leggings was a great match and worked well for my daily exercise video.

This week Minnesota had record temps, so the mesh panels were perfect for our 70-degree weather, but sadly our forecast will change to low 20s next week, meaning I will be wearing these capris inside the rest of the year!

When I was checking out the Fabletics website, I noticed they also have the Stacey pullover paired with the Expedition Puffer Vest. (VIP Member Price $59.95) As much as I loved that look, I couldn't justify the splurge on the vest. Then I remembered I had a cream and black tweed vest I bought from Rue 21 about 100 years ago, boxed up in our basement. Of course, I went and found it and now have a new favorite outfit!

The Verdict: This month was a lot safer of a choice than last month, to say the least. While I have worn that crop top more than once, I am more of a covered and comfortable kind of girl. This month I absolutely fell in love with the mesh capris and all of their awesome pockets. I actually was going to go bold and order them in the olive green color, but they were sold out in my size at the time, so I stuck with basic black and I have worn them almost constantly! Like I said above, the pullover was a hair on the short side, but it is comfortable and something I have worn admittedly maybe a little too much... especially paired with my vest! I am extremely pleased with this month's purchase and I can't wait to see what December has in store!

Can you still get this set if you sign up today? Possibly, as all items are still available but in limited sizes.

Value Breakdown: If you were to order all items separately as a VIP member, your order total would be $99.90, but because it was offered as a set for $49.95, my total was half off the VIP price! Winning!

i’m so over the cropped top phase. I like options and I feel like there’s less and less full-length options available.

Thanks for commenting Ks! I am hoping December features some full-length options, because you are right – there aren’t a lot of options!

What a great outfit you made with the vest added to the Fabletics pieces! I always love seeing puffy vests styled but have never been able to figure out how to pull it off. I may give this a try myself. It looks fantastic on you!

Thank you for the great review.
