Fine Cosmetics High Potency Nocturnal Renewal Set, 50 mL and 30 mL - Retail Value $140.00 (119,00 €)

Per Boxwalla:

The Nocturnal Renewal set consists of both an overnight Face Mask & Eye Mask. Both masks are made in a base of French deep sea water & witch hazel leaf water with beautiful botanical actives like ashwagandha, Persian silk extract, niacinamide.

First, the whole presentation of this set is pretty incredible. Everything is nestled into a fitted grey box with metallic embellishment. The trio of items inside is an amber glass apothecary-style bottle with a night cream, and an amber stopper bottle with an eye mask, and a small wooden spoon.

I tried the eye mask first and (spoiler alert) I was incredibly impressed. It was cooling and has a tightening effect that is really pleasant. It has a serum sort of texture and it just takes the smallest amount to get good coverage. I did a drop under each eye then used my fingers to gently pat it around on this super delicate skin. This ingredient list has all the heavy hitters I want to see in a formula that is going to perform: hyaluronic acid, panthenol, niacinamide, lactic acid, and more. And these powerhouses are combines with botanical extracts from beetroot, Persian silk tree, elderberry, etc. All together they form an eye mask that is both nourishing as well as smoothing. Though the formulas have similarities, I loved this stuff even more than the Fine eye serum in the October box!

The Overnight Face Mask was pretty freaking incredible. If you have dry skin or you are worried about aging, or you simply just want something extra nourishing to get you through the cold months, this is the stuff. There is some ingredient overlap here, but this cream is fortified with ceramides, lipid-rich oils, and additional botanicals. The texture is heavy and luxe and, once again, you don't need a lot of this stuff for full coverage. Not a lot of scent here, kind of creamy and maybe a little citrusy? I applied this onto my face in a nice thicker layer before bed and took some time massaging it in. My face was glowing in the morning! Very excited to add this to my winter skin routine and keep it smooth and hydrated even if it is freezing and windy outside.

Peace Body Serum, 50 mL - Retail Value $25.00 (21,50 €)

'Tis the season to get dry skin! Most of us have already turned our heat on for the year (though this weekend was incredibly warm and confusing for me) and that means a drier house and dry skin. If you are already dry anyway, this is a season of lotions, creams, and body oils. I will be adding this serum to my routine because I am so impressed with it. Firstly, it smells so nice. Think warm vanilla and lavender with some evergreen needles and resin. It is a mild scent, but you certainly notice it! The serum itself needs to be shaken up really well before using it because it does tend to separate a little because this is a nourishing mix of aloe and loads of skin-loving oils like tea seed, squalane, sweet almond, and more. There is also a nice bit of hyaluronic acid in here too for extra hydration. I did notice alcohol a little farther down the list, but I am not so worried about it in this formula since it is very much outweighed by the other goodies inside. I really like using this on areas where I typically find lotion a little heavy, like my neck and chest.

Verdict: There aren't many boxes out there that do an LE as well as Boxwalla. I have yet to be disappointed! If you are new to the Fine Cosmetics brand or if you are already a fan, this trip of winter essentials is going to bring you some serious skin joy. And with a value of over $165 for the cost of $64.95, the value is great too. I loved this curation of skincare that feels both cold-weather and holiday-appropriate, thanks to the scent of that serum! This would be a great gift for someone you love or a wonderful treat-yourself sort of purchase!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you order today? Yes! But act fast if you're interested.

Value Breakdown: At $64.95 for this box, here's how much you're paying for each item:

  • Nocturnal Renewal Set$55.11
  • Body Serum $9.84

Alternatively, each of the two items has an average cost of $32.48

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

The night eye serum is a dream a d the mask is great too. I purchased two more of this set because they’re that great! I received the daytime eye serum in another box and love it too, but the night one is my favorite. One drop is more than enough fir both of your entire eye areas.

So I am thinking of getting a one-time box for my sister for X-mas (I’ve already gotten her some other gifts, so don’t want to spring for an annual or 6 month Boxwalla sub) and I can’t decide which one to get! I LOVED the Oct box, so I could get her that– or I could get her this (I would get it for myself too, but I’m allergic to Acacia, which is in the mask– maybe a blessing in disguise, because I could probably take a breather from buying skincare) or I could even buy her this month’s box as just a one-off. They’re all so lovely. She doesn’t have any weird skin issues, as far as I know. Just “regular” skin. Mine is wildly sensitive. WHICH BOX IS BEST?

I have been buying beauty sub boxes for nearly a decade and this one has blown me away. Many have thrilled me before but I immediately fell in love with each item. The packaging is such a pleasure and the formulas are to die for.

Upon arrival, everything went into my mini fridge. I appreciate the storage instructions on the luxe glass bottles (I’m a sucker for packaging). Both the eye serum and the cream are effective, I noticed a slight improvement on my perpetual baggy eyes and my skin appears to have softened and plumped a bit after the first application.

I’m very impressed with Boxwalla and the shipping was lightning quick. Ordered on Monday and arrived Wednesday. I had just started my Biophile which I enjoyed but I think I will bump it for now. I ordered a second box to have when this one runs out. Beauty Heroes has until now been my favorite sub but Boxwalla is on fire. I’m looking forward to my December box as I love Bluh as well.

Megan, it would be great if you could post before and after pictures of you using a product especially after masks. You say that you are “glowing” 99.9% of the time.

Hey Ashley! I can add some images. The fact is that I have super dry skin, so whenever I use any nourishing sleep mask with stellar ingredients, I do look radiant and glowy in the morning. So, I generally am glowing 99.9% of the time IF I am nourishing my skin, especially overnight. Hope this provides some clarity! I am not sure how much it will help since everyone tends to have different skin needs and texture, but I can take a shot of my face in the morning and add to the review! Thanks for reading. ❤️

I’m not sure an “after” photo would do justice for a mask, but I do appreciate photos showcasing make up (which you do 👍)

This box was already on my radar and your review, once again, sent me racing to order. I truly appreciate the detail in your reviews!

I am so glad I purchased it.. I loved the day eye serum and absolutely love the night serum. Like Megan, I found ONE drop is all that is necessary so these two bottles should last months… can’t wait to try the other products especially the sleep mask. Thank you for review.

I bought one for me, and one for a Christmas gift for my mom. While it is already wrapped, I have been seriously looking for something else for my mom so that I can keep the one I got for her!
