Bath Bevy TUBLESS “SPOOKY Cute ” October 2020 Review

SET OF 2 SHOWER STEAMERS in "Easy Breathe-y" Eucalyptus by Bath Bevy, 3.5 oz (2x) - Retail Value $12.00

I had never tried a shower steamer prior to the first Bath Bevy TUBLESS box I received last month, and thanks to them, now I'm HOOKED. These Easy Breathe-y Eucalyptus Shower Steamers by Bath Bevy take my showers from bah-humbug daily hygiene to a transformative escape to an all-inclusive high-end spa. Seriously. I know that's dramatic, but it's the little things in life that make a big difference and can help you take care of you so that you can continue to take care of anyone relying on you in life. These steamers are activated by steam and water droplets in the shower and work their little butts off to create a calming aromatherapeutic cloud of scent. Easy Breathe-y Eucalyptus is a soothing, natural, and fresh scent with a hint of minty-ness. I've been having some pretty bad nasal congestion from my allergies and this Eucalyptus shower steamer definitely helped soothe my irritated sinus cavity.

AUTUMN APPLE SPICE SUGAR SCRUB by Bath Bevy, 8 oz - Retail Value $12.00 (EXCLUSIVE)

I am IN LOVE with this Autumn Apple Spice Sugar Scrub by Bath Bevy! Hands down, this is my favorite product in this box that I've received from the brand thus far. The scent is absolutely incredible, a brilliant mix of sweet apple and autumn-inspired spice that leaves you wanting a hot cup of apple cider and all the other fall things. With sugar as its natural exfoliant, this scrub gently but efficiently sloughed off my dry skin and dead skin cells, leaving behind fresh, clean, glowing, moisturized skin beneath. I despise when scrubs are formulated with microbeads or any kind of plastic-based exfoliant. I find it leaves my skin feeling irritated and dry; another reason I love scrubs from the Bath Bevy line. Honestly, I cannot rave enough about this product. It is literally almost gone and I've only had it a few days.

WITCHES' HAT BAR SOAP by Primal Elements, 5.8 oz - Retail Value $9.00

I love how festive this Witches' Hat Bar Soap by Primal Elements is. The floating black witches' hat suspended in the fragrant neon green juicy apple soap takes me back to seeing Wicked on Broadway for the first time. The scent is so delicious; it reminds me of a green apple Jolly Rancher in all the best ways. This is one of the best smelling bars of soap I've ever used. This is the perfect seasonal touch to add to the soap dish of any sink. This product has a vegan formula and is handmade in small batches for optimum fragrance. It lathers up beautifully and leaves my hands feeling hydrated, the perfect little boost of moisture to combat all the hand sanitizer I use nowadays.

SPOOKED HAND SANITIZER SPRAY by Bath Bevy, 2 oz - Retail Value $6.00

I think it's wonderful that Bath Bevy included a hand sanitizer in this month's box. In our current world, a solid hand sanitizer is basically liquid gold. I love the festive name and packaging on this Spooked Hand Sanitizer Spray by Bath Bevy. The spritzer is wonderful and releases a nice, strong spray that is finely misted. The scent is so much less aggressive than regular hand sanitizer, combining subtle grapefruit, pineapple, honeydew melon, and other citrus notes for a light fruity scent. By formulating the product with aloe, Bath Bevy has ensured that this sanitizer will kick some major germ butt while also hydrating and caring for your skin. I've been keeping this sanitizer in my foyer so I remember to sanitize whenever I come home or grab the mail or before meeting my daily Door Dasher (I think they're suspicious of how much Chinese food I've been ordering, lol).

WITCH'S BREW TWIST TIN CANDLE w/ Matches by Valley Candles, 3 oz - Retail Value $8.00

This Witch's Brew Twist Tin Candle with Matches by Valley Candles is adorable. I love the witchy cauldron on the tin and the purple color of the 100% American made soy wax inside. You twist off the top of this cauldron and it looks like there's some purple potion or love spell inside, releasing an indulgent fragrance of juicy ripe pear and cast aged brandy. It's a spook-tastic way to get festive in your space. The twist tins are made exclusively for Bath Bevy and are sleek and compact with a burn time of 10+ hours. They even included an adorable branded festive little matchbox.

The Verdict: I loved this month's Bath Bevy TUBLESS Box. I think they did an amazing job curating handmade, small batch products that were high quality, seasonal, and festive. The packaging in this month's box was right on point with the theme, "SPOOKY Cute," with the dark polka-dotted tissue paper and the black and silver paper crinkles. My favorite product in this month's box has to be the Autumn Apple Spice Sugar Scrub by Bath Bevy. The scent was so incredible, and the product was exfoliating but not harsh and moisturizing. I also love the Easy Breathe-y Eucalyptus Shower Steamers and their relaxing, fresh spa scent. The Witches' Hat Bar Soap by Primal Elements was the perfect addition to this month's box. I absolutely love the design and the delicious juicy green apple fragrance. The soap has a nice rich lather and leaves my hands feeling silky smooth. The Spooked Hand Sanitizer Spray by Bath Bevy is a great everyday necessity that I know I will definitely use and the citrus-y scent and aloe formula give it a step up on my basic hand sanitizer. The Witch's Brew Twist Twin Candles by Valley Candles is so adorable and perfect for the season. I love the delectable notes of pear and brandy.

The total retail value of the Bath Bevy TUBLESS Box was $47. At a purchasing price of $42.95 + shipping, you do get your money's worth but not much more. I typically like to see a higher retail value with a subscription box, but MSA reader Steph pointed out to me that everything in the Bath Bevy box is handmade, American made, small batch made, and high quality. For all the creators to be fairly compensated, I understand the price point of the box and retail value. If you are someone who doesn't have a tub, isn't a fan of baths, or simply doesn't have the time to prepare and take a bath but are looking for ways to enhance the shower experience, this is definitely a box you may want to try and I would highly recommend.

To Wrap Up: Can you get this box if you still sign up today? No. Your first box will be the November box. Order by the 10th of the month to get the current month's box. November's theme is "Time to Hygge".

Value Breakdown: At $42.95 + $6.96 shipping for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Sugar Scrub: $10.97
  • Soap Bar: $8.22

Another Ashley

Fortune Cookie Soap Box is $16.95 per month (plus free shipping) with the same amount of products. Granted, they may be a little smaller in size, but everything is made right in-house in Oklahoma. There is no way this box should be over $50 per month with shipping. Just my opinion. Way overpriced.

I can’t seem to find were it says everything is American made.

I think there was some debate last time about whether the items truly were small batch American made, but both Primal Elements and Valley Candles are made by hand in the US.

It’s in the review right after the part about the total cost of the box.

Great review, Naomi! Can you share how long a shower steamer lasts? Does it dissolve in just one shower, or does it last for several showers? I’m sure it depends a little on how wet it gets, but I’d love to learn more about them as someone who’s never tried one.

Hey Dawn! Off to the side of the shower stream and the steamer last 2 to 3 showers depending on the length. The scent is the same either way so I prefer to make them last lol. The first time I put the steamer right under the stream lol I was an amateur.
