Animal Trackers Club Review - November 2020

Before we get started on the contents of this shipment, I wanted to highlight a few items that we received in our Introductory Box that we also used for this month:

Please note the following items did NOT come in this box:

Animal Trackers Lunchbox

We received this cute tin lunchbox featuring Bode Bear and the Animal Trackers logo which is perfect for storing all of our animal gear each month as we collect it. It will also double as a place to play with our animal magnets!

Animal Tracks Card Ring

This is our Animal Tracks card ring. Each month we will receive an animal photo and track card that we can add to this ring as we discover new animals.

Animal Coloring Card

This animal coloring card will be used to track which animals we've already explored and which are still to come!

Now let's see what we received this month!

My son's favorite part of each month is checking inside his envelope to see which animal it will be. He always goes for the figurine first and even though he has tons of little animal toys, he always keeps his Animal Tracker ones together on his "special shelf." The figures are a great size and always realistic looking.

Can you tell he was excited to see a hippo this month?

He loves coloring in which animal he receives each month on his coloring card.

Each month we receive a great colored photograph of our animal to add to our Animal Tracks ring. It is printed on thicker cardstock and has a hole at the top corner for us to easily add it. This hippo is pretty cool looking!

My son loves adding his newest track card to the ring each month!

To help us learn more about our animal they provide these fact sheet cards that fit perfectly within our lunchbox. It has full-color images on the front with some sentences about them on the back. They include little pictures in the story so that the kids can help read, too!

He loves checking out the color photos to learn about the animals.

He also loves collecting these magnets to add to his lunchbox. What a cute hippo!

He loves to make his animal magnets interact with one another.

These foam masks are always a hit each month, too.

They're pretty cute!

This month we received two educational worksheets. One involved finding words hidden in the word hippopotamus and some writing while the other was a fun hippo hunt.

I loved that the first sheet had him working on letter recognition and writing skills. Both of which are skills he is actively working on in pre-K.

He really enjoyed the hippo hunt sheet which had him searching for objects that started with the letter h. He loved circling them and coloring the images in.

This month's activity was to make a hippo puzzle by cutting along different types of lines using the scissors they provided. I thought that the scissors were a nice pair and that the lines were great for cutting skills. I don't have any photos of him cutting in action because I was working with him hand over hand. He really struggles with using the scissors so he hasn't finished this activity yet. I am hoping that the incentive of having a fun hippo puzzle to put together will encourage him!

Verdict: My son is so enthusiastic about doing his Animal Trackers Club box each month. He really loves all of the collectibles and focusing on different animals each month. I really love the worksheets they include because they always seem perfectly appropriate and are just fun enough that they appeal to him. This month's activity wasn't really that exciting to us in comparison to some of the other activities we've done with this box, but I thought the scissors were nice quality and it's definitely a skill of his that he needs to work on, so for that reason, I think it was still a pretty great box for us!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, although you would start with the introductory box!

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!
