LiveGlam Lippie Club 'Enchanted Kisses' October 2020 Review

Here is our info card. Some of these shades are looking adventurous!

Shall we see what they look like?

LiveGlam Matte Liquid Lipstick in 'Enchanted'

I like this shade. It actually looks a lot like the lipsticks I normally wear in the fall. Since most of those are satin bullet types, it's nice to have a LiveGlam liquid matte for those days where I need my lipstick to stay put. Especially under masks. It's a great brick pink that would be really cute on anyone.

LiveGlam Matte Liquid Lipstick in 'Captivate'

I feel personally attacked by this lipstick. Described on the info card as a "smoky lilac", on me it looks more like wet cement. I seriously envy the person who can pull this one off. It was so much better in my head!

LiveGlam Matte Liquid Lipstick in 'Allure'

I actually don't hate this deep purple shade. I just think the pink sweatshirt is throwing it way off. Imagine it with a chic black turtleneck. Can you see it or am I crazy? This shade was pretty but a little splotchy, which you can kind of see on the center of my lower lip. It needs a little extra attention for full coverage.

Verdict: This month's Lippie Club collection was maybe.. not my favorite. My feelings are still hurt from that cool girl grey shade. I did really like the first shade because it was already in my comfort zone, and I think I want to experiment more with the deep purple. I will say that even if 1-2 of these might not be for me, it was kind of cool to see more experimental shades in a subscription. And even if they don't become daily shades, they might come in handy for Halloween!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, this collection just launched! The 22nd is the cutoff to receive the current month's collection!

From LiveGlam:

We debut our new collection on the 23rd of each month. So, if you sign up between July 23rd and August 22, you will get August's collection. If you sign up on or after August 23rd, you will get September's collection. FYI: if you sign up to the waitlist, you might get a different month, depending on inventory and your spot in line.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Maybe I’m crazy, but I don’t hate Captivate on you? It just needs stronger eye makeup – a taupe smokey eye, or cool-toned lavender shadow.

I think how red I am really doesn’t help. I was also wearing a BB cream and a pink shirt which kind of enhanced the whole pink vibe. I will have to try again!

Lol wet cement! But I do think it would be pretty over that purple just on the inner portion of the lip as an ombre! The other 2 shades are gorgeous though!

Right? Like I want to LOVE them. So fun and out of my comfort zone.

Megan, Lol!!! You crack me up! When I read what you wrote about feeling personally attacked but the wet cement lipstick, I lost it. 🤣 after reading your reviews for a while now, I have come to really appreciate your sense of humor so much and also your great taste in art, MINIS and fun stuff in general. Anyway, so I just had to laugh at your response to that shade because I can do totally relate to really wanting shades like that to work for me but they just don’t. I think wet cement is a great name for that shade actually and could see Melt Cosmetics coming out with a liquid lip called Wet Cement. They need to credit you if they do. Always look forward to your reviews!

Hi Katie! Sorry for the delayed response here. I have been on a road trip! I really appreciate this comment. A LOT. Thank you. ♥️

Do you review the brush set as well?

Yep! That review is in the works! I have been traveling over the weekend but it is on my to-dos this week.

I think if she does.

The only way I’ve ever made a lilac grey/cement shade work is with fully matte foundation and eye makeup. Otherwise it pulls all the pink and red tones out of my skin and generally looks terrible. It’s a bummer but I guess I can’t have everything my way 🙂

Thanks for the review Megan!! I’m loving the packaging this month. That pretty purple. I cant recall the previous months packaging but it looks new?? I love them all on you but, Allure has to be my favorite shade on you. Thanks for the amazing reviews as always!!

Hi Alisha! Thanks! Allure has been growing on me for sure. As far as packaging goes, they usually change up the design on the tubes each month to keep it fun. I liked the purple sparkle too. 🙂

I gasped in horror when I saw Captivated in action, it’s really really bad! I like Allure, I think you wear it well.

Boxtopus!

Those shades are pretty dang nifty! I thought I already owned every lipstick shade known to man, but apparently not! That first shade is really beautiful on you. And, if it makes you feel any better, I don’t think many people could pull off “Wet Cement.” 😉

Classic case of wishing I could wear a color and it just not wearing me! Last year there was a hunter green shade that was almost as bad 😂
