Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey of your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences. After choosing when you’d like to receive your delivery, your stylist handpicks 5 items based on your preferences. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)

My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Fix may be completely different.

FYI, COVID-19 Updates: To learn more about Stitch Fix’s extended return window, any potential fulfillment delays, and more, read all of their service-related updates here.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this Fix. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we conduct reviews.)

Stitch Fix Plus Size Clothing June 2020 Review

This is the included invoice. It shows in detail the items selected for me and the brands, sizes, and cost of each piece. The total comes up to $211 after all the discounts if I opt to keep everything—which is a $97 total savings! That is $11 short on covering the cost for the Lulu bag and the Daniel Rainn blouse!

As always, I received this handy sheet with a note from this month’s stylist, Heidi! Heidi is aware of my love for bold prints and colors and that I am seeking casual workwear with a fitted silhouette. I am excited to see what my new-to-me stylist selects for me this month!

Sophi Faux Wrap Knit Dress by DM Collection, Size 20w — Retail Value $78

Oh, the magic of the faux wrap dress. You have the illusion of the glorious wrap style without the annoyance of trying to get it on, am I right? Normally, I prefer vivid, bright colors-- but I dig this piece! The black and khaki palette may seem subdued, but the pattern has a unique, yet retro vibe that makes it stand out! The fabric has loads of stretch and the fit is spot on. I like the coverage of this dress too since I am not a fan of spaghetti straps or bandeau styles (for myself, not others, of course) when it comes to summer pieces. This is a great piece for a day at the office or out for brunch with friends (you know, things we did in another life!).

Gina Scalloped Sleeve Blouse by 41 Hawthorne, Size 2x — Retail Value $58

Initially, I thought this may be a standard polka dot blouse. Once I put it on, I realized the beauty of this understated piece. The front seems like business as usual, but then when you turn around you see a well constructed, gorgeous scalloped overlap sleeve detail that will make your jaw drop! This detail gives an elegant, sophisticated feel to an otherwise ordinary business-casual work top! Wowee zowee! In addition, the top fits fantastically and there is even the slightest bit of elastic in the back to give it a more customized fit. I love this top paired with the skirt my stylist, Heidi, selected for me. The contrasting prints look amazing in this monochromatic look, but imagine this when it gets slightly cooler with high-waist black jeans and black pointy-toe boots or paired with a faux leather mini skirt for some edge. 'Til then, I would style with high-waist jeans or a floral skirt for an adorable summer ensemble. It is far more elevated than my uniform of caftans and band shirts paired with dolphin shorts these days, I must say!

Kora Knit Jacquard Pencil Skirt by 41 Hawthorne, Size 2x — Retail Value $64

Pencil skirts are a go-to in my wardrobe because of how they hug my curves, but also because of their versatility! I can easily wear one at the office with a button-down top or out with friends at a show with a vintage band T-shirt, faux leather biker jacket, and ankle booties. This knit jacquard style is certainly no exception to that, my friends! I love that this piece has ample stretch in the fabric and a thick elastic waistline as well. This is a wonderful addition to one's wardrobe for sure!

Calleigh Ruffle Neckline Detail Blouse by Daniel Rainn, Size 2x — Retail Value $54

I am a fan of a variety of green shades, and goodness knows this teal is one I have worn a lot over the years. I remember having a pair of denim shorts from Fashion Bug this color that I would often wear with a sleeveless denim top that had Looney Tunes characters embroidered on it-- memories, I tell ya! This is definitely a more refined use of this color for me, nearly thirty years later. I appreciate the neckline's shape with the ruffle detail. I also love that the front is made from a chiffon-like material, but the back is made from a stretchy, slinky cotton fabric. It allows for a better fit. Obviously, this blouse looks fabulous paired with the Kora skirt, but it will pair well with anything from jeans and flats to shorts and Converse sneakers. I also think during the holidays this would look fantastic with a jewel-toned velvet skirt or blazer and wide-legged pants look! A deep navy, crushed velvet paired with this would be incredibly stunning!

Helena Animal Colorblock Crossbody by LuLu — Retail Value $54

My stylist, Heidi, truly was so considerate and detail-oriented in all her selections-- this crossbody bag being evidence of that. The black, tan, khaki, and snake print on this bag perfectly complement the DM Collection faux wrap dress. The clashing of patterns here is immensely polished and sophisticated compared to my eccentric style-- but I love it! This purse is functional with all the pockets and zippered compartments, which I appreciate as well!  I also am impressed with the quality of this bag-- the faux leather feels convincingly real to the touch! This will look amazing paired with a blazer and skirt for the office or for a date with your favorite sleeveless mock turtleneck, oversized glasses, and mini skirt as well.

The Verdict: This month's Stitch Fix was filled with some phenomenal pieces! My new stylist, Heidi, picked out items that complement each other well. It felt like she selected items in mind for complete outfits, and with a few mix and match options as well! All the pieces are perfect for the office-- I would certainly wear any of these to get back into that business casual state of mind! I am perpetually in leopard print caftans these days, not that I am complaining! I am working at home still for both jobs (which I am EXTREMELY thankful for), and rarely if ever leave my home. Even though I don't have events or occasions to attend, I still get excited to see what my stylist sends my way each month. It is like bringing the mall right to my home!  I was late on putting in my feedback on Heidi's Fix for her-- that is something I always strongly suggest. To ensure you get the best Fix, make sure to provide feedback for each one you receive, provide your Instagram or Pinterest links for your stylist's inspiration, and also play the game on their site that lets you pick your favorite pieces out. This helps your stylist create a truly personalized Fix for you! That being said, I am extremely excited to see what Heidi will be picking out for me for my July box, aren't you?

Can you still get these pieces if you sign up today? Stitch Fix curates its Fixes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This personal styling service has a $20 styling fee with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $308. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 25% discount. The $20.00 cost of the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning I’d end up spending $211 for the whole box. Ultimately, that’s about a 31% discount!
