Quirky Crate July 2020 Review

Quirky Crate samples one item from a featured artist or brand each month. This month features the brand The Crafty Cactus, a father-daughter duo that started a business together selling their pins, stickers, and prints. This info card gives you some insight into their company as well as their social media info.

On the flipside, Quirky Crate includes an itemized list of each product and its value. This month's theme is "Music Can Change the World."

Time to get quirky!

Music Note Socks - Listed Value $9

This design is an instant favorite; the brights just pop out from the black background like something straight from the '80s. The music notes are perfect for this month's theme, too. Quirky Crate‘s socks have reliable quality every month; this pair is the medium-thick, comfortable fit I've come to expect from them. I wear a size 8 shoe, and these fit me perfectly.

Glitter Sunnies - Listed Value $22

Another pair of supersized sunnies, and I am stoked! I have an obsession with funky sunglasses, and when QC sends you a pair, they don't mess around! The plastic stems seem really durable, and I really like the extreme cat-eye frames. I will certainly make a statement with these bad boys.

Guitar Purse - Listed Value $35

This guitar bag is beyond cute. There are so many cute details, like the thread stings and the metal tuning studs, but my favorite has to be the star stud knobs. It has one medium-sized compartment that fits my phone, a small cardholder, and some lipstick. I will definitely be rocking this faux leather bag when I decide to rejoin the world from this quarantine.

"All You Need Is Love" Iron-On Patch - Listed Value $6

I'm not sure if I like the patch more or its packaging--how cute is that background?! I didn't appreciate The Beatles until college, but I've been a fan ever since. "All You Need Is Love" is a great song and a sentiment that rings true, especially today. This patch is going to get a little love from my iron as soon as I find somewhere worthy to put it.

Walkman Enamel Chain Pin - Listed Value $15

Quirky Crate outdid themselves with this walkman pin. This is my first chain pin, and it is amazing! The nostalgia! The cassette player has two pinbacks and the headphones have one. The chain is almost 2 inches and represents some old school technology in this new wireless world.

Crafty Cactus Co Sticker - Listed Value $3

This cute vinyl sticker is by the featured artists this month, Crafty Cactus Co. It goes hand-in-hand with the walkman enamel pin and this month's theme. The sticker measures 2" x 3". I linked a similar sticker in their Etsy shop, but it says in its description that the colors may vary.

Rapping Paper - Listed Value $6

This "rapping" paper is hilarious! I love the cartoon images of each rapper, which includes Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, Kanye, Eminem, and Tupac all looking their best. This pack includes two sheets of paper, large enough to wrap a small gift box. This is such a cute idea; I love having spare wrapping paper for any occasion, and I know whoever I gift this to will definitely get a kick out of it.

The Verdict: July's Quirky Crate had some rockin' finds. I love every item this month, making this box so worth the cost for me. The total value of this box adds up to $96, over double the $36.95 + $6.50 shipping subscription cost. I have so much fun unboxing QC, and I love reaching for new flair from my quirky collection.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.
