Pet Treater Cat Pack June 2020 Review

I used to find the dog version of Pet Treater a little bit random but the cat version (maybe because it is smaller) is often a little more focused:

There’s not a traditional information card with this subscription, but you get a couple of inserts. There used to be a sticker each month but this seems to have been discontinued.

Kerchief

You will get one of these pretty much every month now. I am glad they are now actual finished kerchiefs instead of fabric cut off the bolt. However, my cats really don't like to wear kerchiefs. I put this on Monkey because Monkey will let me do pretty much anything. But then I put it on Madison, got one not-so-good picture, and he ran upstairs. I had to chase him to take it off. I think I would prefer a hat or little outfit, even if it was really cheap. It's not like the cats wear these things for a long time. You snap a picture and take it off. Anyway.

Pet Luv Single-Wide Scratcher

This does not appear to be for sale online. I found some evidence it may have been a Big Lots item at one point several years ago. This is also why an unusual envelope was used this month and why I couldn't get it to stand up nicely for the first picture. I am all for switching up the subscription packaging if it means you can include some unconventional items. We go through a lot of cat scratchers in my house. Basically, wherever some cat decides to scratch the floor more than once, I move a scratcher there, and usually that helps protect the carpet. My cats seem to like this one pretty well so I guess the catnip is good.

Whisker City Wobble Poof with Suction - Retail Value $3.49

I found this for sale at a questionable site I won't link to and also sold out. I'm providing a link to the sold out version for value purposes. We have received this before and in fact my review from August 2019 was one of the early Google hits for this item. Then, Angus liked it, but he passed away in March and I wasn't sure whether my other cats would be interested. They all thought it was at least worth a sniff and a chin rub. I didn't have much luck getting this to stick to anything but it stayed sort of in place on a hardwood floor. Maybe it would be better on kitchen or bathroom tile?

Emerald Pet Wholly Fish Tuna Recipe (3 oz) - Retail Value $4.99

These are little fish-shaped treats that don't have any chicken so they are good for cats who can't have chicken. None of my current cats have that problem. All of mine were interested in sniffing these, but only Sneaky likes to eat them. That's OK, we give her treats before and after her asthma inhaler and these can be used for that. They seem to agree with her system well as we've received these before and I have no complaints after giving them several days in a row.

Verdict: I was unable to calculate a total value for the June Pet Treater Cat Pack since I had trouble finding some of the items online. Some of these items are repeats if you are a long-term subscriber, which may be something to keep in mind. Although not every item was a hit with every cat, most of the items appealed to at least one kitty (so it's helpful to have a couple of cats to get the most out of this subscription). I think the scratcher was my cats' favorite item -- they ate a lot of the catnip, but whatever. I would say this is a representative month for this subscription.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, your first pack will ship immediately filled with the most popular fan favorites. Also, there may be some variation among boxes sent during the same month.

Value Breakdown: At $15 per month for this subscription, you are paying approximately $3.75 per item.

The kerchief is a really cute pattern this month! Your cats looked very dapper in them. I agree they should mix up the wearable items.
