LiveGlam MorpheMe Brush Club June 2020 Review

It looks like we have 3 different brushes to play with this month.

Let's take a peek, shall we?

R6 Flat Buffer (Synthetic) - Retail Value $17.00

I do love a kabuki-style brush! They are my favorite for applying tinted moisturizers or foundations, but they also work really nice with cream blushes and highlighters. This one is a little smaller than some, but I like the size because it feels like you can target smaller areas of your face if necessary. The flat top makes buffing foundation effortless.

R11 Deluxe Oval Shadow (Natural) - Retail Value $11.00

This brush feels a little big for eyeshadow, but it is meant to cover your entire lid, which it totally does! It applies in a nice soft wash. I actually can't believe I love this brush as much as I do.

R13 Pointed Contour (Synthetic) - Retail Value $10.00

I don't often contour, but when I do, a brush like this is a must. It works really great with both powder and cream contour formulas, and the pointed tip allows you to apply product exactly where you want it. The dense head is then fluffy enough to blend it, too! Not into contouring? This also makes a great powder highlighter brush!

Verdict: MorpheMe Monthly Brush Club was great! How pretty are those rose gold accents? All three brushes this month were totally useful and well made and I like how they worked with the products and formulas in my makeup bag. I actually think the R11 was my favorite. What a surprise to love such a massively large eyeshadow brush! The R6 and R13 were both awesome too, and I can see myself using them all pretty frequently. The value was pretty good too: for $19.99 I received $38 worth of brushes.

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yep! Order by June 22nd to snag these brushes.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I’d love if there was a makeup subscription that went beyond Morphe brushes!

I love Brushes, but I have found I have went back to using my hands more and more, especially to apply my foundation. Powdered products like blush, and setting powder I use a brush. For A quick simple eyeshadow application use my fingertip plus there is no fallout. I do not hardly have any brushes to buy or clean anymore. Sometimes the old fashioned way of doing things is better and quicker.

I feel like I tend to go back and forth myself. I love brushes for face application, but I agree with the fingertips for many eyeshadows in most cases, especially for pigment payoff. I think the more eye brushes I get though, the more I love them for blending.

Great review, as always, Megan. I have a question: Do they sometimes send natural hair/combination natural and synthetic, often?

So I have been trying to find a pattern in this and there isn’t one. Sometimes they are natural, sometimes synthetics, sometimes a blend! I thought maybe the natural bristles were more expensive (like with art brushes) but they are usually pretty comparable to the synthetics from Morphe. I think they must go through and try to find an assortment that fits each month regardless of material. I know this wasn’t an actual answer, but I hope it helped still!

Huh. As someone who doesn’t like to “play” with eyeshadow I think I just found a holy grail. I always seem to get eyeshadows from Ipsy so I will have to pick up this brush if I’m ever honestly going to get through them.

I like this sub a lot, and I used to have maybe 3 brushes in my arsenal. Totally worth a try to build up a collection.
