Laurel & Reed May 2020 Review

There's a card that simply states all of the things you can expect from the subscription and another info card that features some sophisticated branding on one side with the items clearly listed out including retail prices and short descriptions on the other.

LeahLani Skincare Aloha Ambrosia Morning Moisture Elixir, 1.01 oz. - Retail Value $56.00

This morning moisture elixir from Hawaiian clean beauty brand, LeahLani, brings a gorgeous bouquet of floral scents to my skin. Packed with antioxidants like goji berry, guava, and mangosteen, one pump of this light oil really stretches over the full surface of my face. To be used in the morning specifically, this facial elixir not only hydrates, but it also primes my skin when applied to my damp face. It really does give me quite a nice glow that keeps me checking myself in the mirror in awe. Fresh dewy skin with a bright floral fragrance from flower extract makes this a breath of fresh air for spring.

Graydon Skincare Fullmoon Serum, 1 oz. - Retail Value $87.00

Hey hey! I know this serum (due to another beauty box last year) and I am so happy to see it again here in Laurel & Reed. If you're not familiar, Graydon is a great natural skincare brand and their Fullmoon Serum is the most beautiful blue color. This serum contains my #1 fave ingredient, blue tansy, which not only smells fantastic but has helpful anti-inflammatory properties. Additionally, this product has skincare powerhouses collagen, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and retinol which promote newer healthier-looking skin. I use this between cleansing and any oils or moisturizers to give my skin an extra plumping boost. This helps me look my most radiant and I just cannot get enough of its scent.

Olomi Blue Breeze Face Sheet Mask, Calm - Retail Value $6.00

Right off the bat, the mask is made of soft material and while it was a little big on my face, it clung really well. The most dominant scent I picked up was lavender which I find really pleasant and calming. After removing, there was a decent amount of serum left behind to massage into my face and neck which had the classic sticky feel for quite some time. Once it finally fully absorbed, my skin felt a bit more taut and very soft. I'd definitely use this mask again.

The Verdict: Laurel & Reed can kinda do no wrong with me. Their color curation is always on-point and they always choose amazing brands to feature. I'm surprised by how much I love the ambrosia elixir since I'm typically not a floral gal, but the glow it delivers is just too good. My senses are further delighted with the return of the blue-tansy-heavy fullmoon serum to my skincare arsenal. Although only three items were sent this month compared to the usual four, the value is still amazing at $149 which is almost triple the cost of the box.

I don’t know what code was in use for a while, but an online search provided a few which might (*might!) work; they seem to be hit or miss. Either TOXICFREE or SELFCARELOVE would provide 25% off, and LAURELREED20 might work for 20% off. These were in use as of 11 – 14 days ago

They say that they provide new codes every 30 days.

Skipped this box and glad I did. Still have that Graydon from last year’s BH box. It’s OK to me. Nothing special. I have about half a bottle left. By the way, I saw this morning they have spoilers for June out. Will be skipping that box as well.

Luna

The code was in the June spoilers post that came out shortly after this one. It looks like MSA removed it, because I don’t see it there anymore.

Alice

What is the code for 25% off? I don’t see it in the review.

Math Tutor

Where is this coupon 25% off code? I just couldn’t locate it after reading though the whole post.

Luna

I just tried the code posted in the other post, and it didn’t work. 🙁 I see it was offered for a limited time, so maybe it’s over (within the past hour? lol!)?

Thank you for the discount code. I used it for a 6 mo subscription and am so excited! I’ve always loved the reviews but this is my first subscription to this. Love may and June both!

Suzanne

Does the Leahlani serum smell like an outhouse (clean one at least) to anyone else? I’ve only used it once because I find the smell so off-putting.
