CatLadyBox June 2020 Review

CatLadyBox is always full of fun, cat-themed lifestyle items. Let’s see what was in store for June:

I love how the information cards have custom artwork every month. And the back has more information about the items in the box. This month has a "pampurr yourself" theme.

Plush Cat Bath Rug - Listed Value $17.99

This is fun. We have a selection of bath rugs we rotate through next to our shower so as to keep them relatively clean and I can't decide whether to add this to the rotation or just reserve it for when I go into the guest bathroom to take a long bath (our master bathroom has an impractical tub that's 3x as large as our water heater so I don't use that one). Or I could also leave it in the window for the cats to relax on, as they all seemed to like it as well. At any rate, there are multiple possibilities, and this should work with a lot of different decor schemes, and it is a practical item.

Cat Lights Phone Charging Cord - Listed Value $13.99

This has two adapters on the end so you can use it with several different phone types. Also, as you can see, it lights up. Right now it is actually decorating my home workstation because why not? Purple cat lights can definitely put a smile on my face during these times. Another practical item, but a fun one.

Cozy Cat Paw Socks, Pack of Three Pairs - Listed Value $14.99

It's a little warm where I live for thick, fuzzy socks but I am definitely a fan of wearing them around the house when it's colder. These are super cute and they fit me well (for reference, I wear a women's size 7 shoe).

Sassy Shower Cap Catnip Toy - Listed Value $4.99

Since this is the "crazy" cat lady version of the box it comes with some toys. First up is this shower cap which is kind of small and therefore excellent for batting around, which is something Monkey likes to do. I appreciate the level of detail here, it even has an elastic band inside to mimic the action of a real shower cap (although you'd have to put it on a doll or something, it's too small for a cat).

Cell Phone Toy - Listed Value $4.99

This is a little larger than the shower cap and it has FEATHERS, which of course is wonderful if you are one of my cats. I like how the theme and color of this item tie in with the charger (although I have to admit, I haven't seen a phone with a number keypad in some time...). This one is a good size for wrestling, or face-rubbing, which is mostly what my boys like to do with toys these days.

Here are some kitty photos (Madison came out of his hidey-box to inspect the mat in that last one...):

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $56.95 for the June 2020 (Crazy) CatLadyBox. I did have to take all the values from the information card, but that's what the items will sell for once they are up in the CatLadyBox shop (they were not yet there as of the writing of this review). I am able to use every item and I like that they switch it up from month to month -- yes, you get jewelry and shirts, but not every single month, and even if you do get socks twice (we've received socks before), they're always a little bit different, so you don't end up with 100 of the same type of item if you keep subscribing for awhile. Also sometimes I plug in the charger without a phone just so I can have some purple lights around.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Officially your subscription would start with July's box if you order before the cutoff on the 26th, but way back when I signed up, I was contacted to say there were a few of the current month’s box left over and asked if I’d like one of those. So it may be worth inquiring.

I want thus sub so bad. I’m used to boxes charging 40 and being worth 100 etc these are usually only worth about 9.00 more than the cost so if I dont like some items I lose out. It’s just the cheapskate in me lol. Plus I dont have cat lady friends to gift to. Still I want
I have a bath rug like this, from forever 21. It had a face on it. I use the rug to put kitties food bowls on. Really cute on the kitchen floor.

I love this box! The bath mat feels really luxe and super soft. My cats always enjoy the toys. The phone charger can fit iphone or android and is cute when lit up. A portion of the proceeds go to animal causes so it’s a win win.

This was my second box and I wasn’t as happy with this one. The bath mat is super cute, but my cats play in the bathroom and it gets all scrunched up very easily. It is soft to step out on though. I just wish it kept its shape better. The charger is really of no use to me as I too have a newer samsung phone. And the socks seem a little small.
That being said, I also have to say the customer service for this subscription box is outstanding. This would have been my first box but I was able to email them and they sent me last month’s box upon request. I was over the moon with that one. I’ve also ordered quite a bit of former box items and I’m very happy with those. I wear a 2x in shirts and LOVE their shirts. They are so soft and comfy.

I noticed some people commenting on their social media posts that the cord didn’t work with their phones, so CLB answered back that they would send them an adapter! You might try that. Otherwise, they can still be a tiny strand of lights for you at a desk maybe?

I was in the market for both a bath mat and a phone charger when my Cat Lady box arrived, so I was quite a happy camper!!! I live in South Florida, so the socks won’t get much use, but they are cute and for those three nights of the year it’s cold enough for socks, I’ll have these ready. The cell phone toy is a big hit with my tabby Penny, who loves feathers. And the light-up charger is purple, which matches my car!!! Love this month’s box!!!

I’m super bummed about this box. The bath mat is a bit large to go in either of our bathrooms and look right. The socks are pretty snug. (I wear a 9.5) and I have a newer samsung phone, so none of the charger connections work for me. So my cat was the only one happy with the box. I dont think this is fault of the company, because the theme is definitely cute!

seems like a lot of money for socks, a couple of cats toys and a bath mat.

I want to say here that a few weeks ago, I went to their online shop to buy the hamper that says “stuff with cat hair” as a birthday gift for a friend. It wasn’t there! I emailed in panic, and a lovely cat lady named Sue said that they might have run out but she’d check with the warehouse and keep my email around to let me know if she finds any. How sweet is that? A few days later she emailed me and said that they had a few extras and put them back in the online shop, so I should hurry. She also gave me a code for 20% off my purchase. I grabbed two hampers right away and everyone is over the moon. Aren’t Sue and the other cat people at Cat Lady Box the most meowvelous? A great group with a great shop and a great mission (to bankrupt me). I must buy two of these bath mats when they add them to the shop. Thank you Sue and colleagues!

I agree, Dea. The customer service is great and have always responded quickly to any issues or questions I have. I also love that hampurr! One of their greatest items. It’s super sturdy, holds a lot, and also provides a fun place for my cats to play when it is empty! (One of my cats is obsessed with it.) I’ve been a subscriber to CLB for a long time, and they are my favorite!

I thought this was a great box! Love the socks and the light charger (so unique!). I’m not too sure about using the mat but I don’t hate it.

I think this mat could be used as kitty blanket, my cats like to sit on bathroom mats. This one seems fluffy and soft for that purpose!

I loved it, too! I like how CLB always tries to make their products practical. I’ve been using the mat and it’s pretty absorbent, actually! The lights and socks are just too cute.
