44 Ratings | 24 Reviews

Rocksbox is a jewelry styling and renting service. Members pay a flat rate every month to get unlimited access to the Rocksbox collection and the option to buy the pieces they love most at a discounted price. Right now, you can even get your first month of Rocksbox membership for free! (Read on to learn how, or check out our list of other free subscription boxes here!)

Upon subscribing, you'll take a "style survey" so Rocksbox can suggest jewelry pieces that fit your style. You can also browse their catalog and add pieces to your wishlist. Each month, Rocksbox will curate sets of three pieces to send your way, including at least one piece from your wishlist.

Try on the items from the box and wear them as long as you'd like. From there, you have two choices. If you love any of the pieces enough to want to keep them, you can put your monthly "Shine Credit" towards your purchase.

Or, if you're ready for another style, return your box using the free shipping label and reusable envelope you got with your shipment. Shortly after, you'll get a brand new box of jewelry to enjoy!

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Rocksbox Rental Jewelry March 2020 Review

Here's the info booklet that came with the jewelry set. It includes a product list with retail and member-specific pricing.

They also included a handy jewelry care card.

A free return shipping label is also at the bottom of the box.

FYI: The outer envelope that Rocksbox ships inside doubles as a return shipping envelope! Be careful as you cut it open—there's a second adhesive strip that can be used to reseal the envelope for its trip back.

Kate Spade Petal Pusher Statement Studs - Retail Value $48.00, Member Price $48.00

It is time for spring flowers, and these statement earrings certainly deliver! I really like the deeper colors because it makes them feel perfect for this seasonal transition and allows me to reserve the light and airy stuff for later. They also have a really cool gold backing layer which allows extra light to shine through the transparent tortoise-patterned acrylic. The middle is a large deep teal rhinestone for a little sparkle. Love these!

Aster Iris Mini Hoops - Retail Value $55.00, Member Price $46.00

Though I adore a pearl hoop, I wasn't feeling these. They were a little too dainty and I didn't like the look of the pearls themselves. They were still super cute on, and as you can see above, looked great when paired with my favorite rose gold huggie earring!

Elizabeth Stone Gemstone Eye Pendant Necklace - Retail Value $70.00, Member Price $67.00

My last pick this month is a really lovely little eye pendant. The stone is super sparkly and fades from a pretty pink shade to a green. The stone is surrounded by rose gold and additional little clear crystals. I liked this necklace a lot because it was small and dainty but still added a noticeable pop of color to my outfit.

The Verdict: I managed to score 3 of my wishlist picks from Rocksbox this month and I loved 2 out of 3. These pieces added a nice little pop of color to a few of my outfits these last weeks and feel very springy to me! Bring it on!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Every box is different and packed based on the customer's tastes and what's available at the time. You can, however, give the Rocksbox stylists a nudge by adding your favorite pieces to your wishlist!

Value Breakdown: Rocksbox membership costs $21.00 per month. At retail, the three pieces would cost me $173.00. With my Rocksbox discounts and the member pricing (including the buy-all-three-items discount, and the $21.00 of Shine Credit [the membership fee for the month, which goes towards your purchases]), and the $10 buy-all-three discount, that price drops to $130.00.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Hey Megan, great review as always! Were the earrings heavy? They are too pretty and I might need to seek them out!

They actually weren’t super heavy at all! The acrylic petals are lightweight and because the gold backing isn’t a mirror of the entire flower they were lighter and very comfortable to wear.

Thank you! 🙂

The Kate Spade earrings are fabulous. They look classy and expensive, which I find isn’t always the case with this box.

I’m on my second month and I’m really enjoying it. I like to switch out my jewelry regularly for work and this has definitely been a fun and convenient way to do that. I had initially signed up through a game for extra credits and planned to cancel but after reading the reviews here for months combined with how well I am enjoying Rocksbox, I plan on continuing my subscription. They also have very prompt customer service with any issues.

I like this one too, even after reviewing it for a long time. I finally made a purchase on my review last month too!
