February 2020 No Make No Life "XOXO" Review

The booklet gives you detailed information on each item, as well as instructions on how to use certain products. This month's theme is 'XOXO' for Valentine's Day.

Momocos Colored Eye Pencil - Retail Value $3.88 (currently out of stock)

It looks like you could have received one of four pencils this month. I received black which, while a classic, would have been so fun to receive the pink or blue to try! The pencil itself works great, going on smoothly with little to no smudging. I haven't used a pencil liner since I was younger, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Now I just need a sharpener!

Medius Heart Eye Mask - Retail Value $2.66 (currently out of stock)

This heart-shaped mask is meant to wear around your eyes to keep them hydrated and less puffy. The instructions recommend leaving it on for 30 minutes for best results. I found this mask to be very delicate and thin, making it hard to get out of the bag and on my eyes without feeling as though it would rip. The mask itself didn't fit that well on my face, but once I adjusted it a bit it felt comfy and stayed nicely. There is a rather strong rose scent to the mask as well. My eyes are extremely sensitive and felt a bit irritated from the rose scent so I wasn't able to leave this on for the full 30 minutes. However, after removing I felt super hydrated! While this wasn't my favorite mask, I loved how cute it was and it was fun to receive a mask targeted just for your eye area.

Dear My Soap - Retail Value $1.88 (currently out of stock)

You could have received this soap in blue, pink, or white. All are made with rosehip oil and have a sweet Bulgarian rose scent. I loved the fresh scent and it left my hands feeling soft and moisturized. I love that this soap came in a sweet heart shape, perfect for Valentine's Day!

A'pieu Chocolate Milk Sheet Mask - Retail Value $2 (currently out of stock)

This mask is all about chocolate, another perfect item for Valentine's Day! It is made with cacao which helps in removing dead skin cells and milk essence to moisturize. The mask had a ton of extra super creamy serum, which was great to rub all over my face neck and hands. It did have a strong chocolate scent that almost smelled fake to me, but it grew on me and faded as I wore the mask. My face was left glowing and super hydrated after removing!

Melliesh 3-Way Multi Heart - Retail Value $5.01 (currently out of stock)

You could have received this heart case in pink, cherry red, rich brown, or cassis berry. The best part about this balm is that you can use it for your lips, eyes or as a blush! I love a multi-purpose item, and this is great because it fits easily into your bag and has a small mirror inside. I didn't love the color that I received for my skin tone; it isn't a color that I would wear as a blush, but I think it looks great as a lip balm! It is super hydrating and went on with a light shimmer to it.

Capsa Lip Plumper - Retail Value $9.72 (currently out of stock)

I have to admit, the chili pepper on the packaging of this lip plumper scared me a bit. This plumper is made with pepper extract, and it did cause a slight burn/tingle at first, but it went away quickly. You could have received this plumper in red, clear, or a moisturizing lip serum. I received the clear which is perfect for me! You can see the before and after photos. What do you think, do my lips look fuller? I can't tell if they just look healthy and moisturized or filled in a bit. Either way I love this product and it's great on a day that I don't want to wear a full lipstick, it gives me a fresh look without being fully done up!

Beauty World Makeup Palette - Retail Value $14.43 (currently out of stock)

I love receiving makeup palettes, they always feel so elevated and special! You could have received one of four color palettes this month which feature 10 colors. You can use them for your eyes and cheeks. All of the colors, even the dark ones, needed a few swipes to get solid coverage and there was some fallout. These colors are bolder than I normally wear, but I am trying to branch out so this is going to be a great palette to use on those days that I'm feeling funky!

Holika Holika Heart Crush Lipstick Creamy Velvet - Retail Value $11.61 (currently out of stock)

I mean, I love a red lip all year round, but it felt extra special to receive this month. Plus, the case is super cute, but I loved opening it to see that the lipstick itself is a heart-shape as well! I do think that the lipstick was a little tricky to apply in the heart shape, but that is most likely because I'm so used to the traditional tube of lipstick shape. This red is bold and creamy, going on easily with solid coverage. I will be using this lipstick year round!

Verdict: No Make No Life Box was a hit this month! I love all things red so Valentine's Day boxes are usually perfect for me. This month was filled with the right amount of heart-shaped and red products without making it feel overdone. The curation of skincare along with makeup items was spot on for me this month as well! While I didn't love the eye mask and the heart balm is not a shade I would typically go for, I still enjoyed trying both products. The lipstick is hands down my favorite item of the month, and the palette is going to keep me out of my makeup comfort zone. All in all, I will get use out of every item this month! Plus, the total retail value came in at $51.19 which is well above the $35 monthly cost of the box!
