Pura Vida Bracelet Club December 2019 Review

It looks like Pura Vida has changed up their packaging a bit and they sent this cute fold-out card that tells a little bit about their company and how they give back. This card also includes a nice thank you for your support as well as a cute sticker hidden behind that fun pineapple at the end of the card!

Your bracelets will arrive in a small drawstring bag with the Pura Vida Monthly Club logo on the outside. These bags are great for storing your bracelets or taking them with you when you travel.

Two Layer Chain and String Bracelet

This first bracelet is probably my favorite and it is pretty unique from our usual monthly bracelets. It has a thick black string layer and then the front of the bracelet has this delicate silver chain attached with these dainty little charms. There is this gold star in the center with tiny rhinestones inside, some tiny pearls, and some rhinestones set in gold. I like the mixed metal look and the mixed material look as well!

Here it is on. I love the tiny dangling charms!

Beaded String Bracelet

This bracelet has several strands of white strings with silver and gold beads strewn throughout. The beads can move along the string so you can rearrange them however you'd like and they are also multi-faceted which adds a nice texture to the look. I like that it has that mixed metal look like our first bracelet and the white with silver and gold feel like a good choice for a winter style!

Here it is on. Cute and simple!

Tan and Silver Coin Medallion Bracelet

This last bracelet is another one that is pretty unique for our bracelet club. It features a simple tan braid, but then there is this section of silver medallions attached by silver rings making it feel just a bit nicer than our usual string bracelets. The coins are tiny and lightweight so this is comfortable to wear, too!

Here it is on. You can hardly see the string at the top with this design.

Here are the bracelets stacked together. I guess technically they work well together since the metals are all mixed, but this stack just did not feel that cohesive to me. I will still probably wear them together, but I almost feel like the black bracelet should be worn by itself to really see all of the great details.

I love that these bracelets feature bands that you can adjust to fit your wrists comfortably. If the bracelet ends are too long on your wrist, check out this YouTube tutorial on how to shorten the ends!

The threads are also coated in wax, which means you can wear them at the beach or in the shower if you're too lazy to remove them like I am! These bracelets definitely hold up over time, which is one of the many reasons I love them.

The Verdict: I liked how unique our bracelets were from Pura Vida Bracelet Club this month and that there was a mix of string and metal making them feel a bit fancier than usual. I was hoping for more of a festive or seasonal vibe from this pack, but I guess the white and black are decent for January and the New Year. I do really like this pack a lot, but I feel like each bracelet might be better worn alone instead of together. Of course, this is totally my opinion! I still think it was worth the $14.95 cost of this subscription for some pretty new bracelets, even if I do decide to split them up!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You'll likely receive the January pack. From Pura Vida:

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

Brandi, When you put the necklace on from the jewelry set this month to review I thought it might match the silver coin bracelet? I love the black and white but the set just got jumbled on my wrist.

Hi Judy! The coin necklace and bracelet do match since they both feature the small coins, although the coins in the necklace are smaller in size. While I’m sure they would still work together, I think the necklace feels a little dressier in comparison, so for me they didn’t work as well as I had thought they might from the spoilers!

Also, totally agree on the bracelets getting jumbled! It makes it difficult to see all the tiny details!
