Kinder Beauty Box Natural Beauty January 2020 Review

Each box comes with an info card that has each product pictured with a short description and listed value, so you know what each product is worth.

Lotte Naturals Morgan Eye Serum - Retail Value $17

Caffeine can work wonders for tired, dark under eyes and this serum is packed with two potent caffeine oils as well as sweet almond oil and jojoba oil to moisturize and brighten up the area. It completely absorbed into my skin, immediately after application; I was shocked at how non-oily this serum made up of oils was. I avoid any skincare with fragrance to it (especially anything used around the eye area), so unfortunately, this one is a pass for me.

GLOV On The Go Eco Line - Retail Value $12.99

GLOV products are very popular in the subscription world, and I always welcome them! These are simple to use and great to travel with; you just saturate the GLOV, press onto skin and move in circular motions to break up your makeup. I love makeup removers that just use water, no sensitivity or running out of product here! These are reusable for up to 3 months and do a great job at removing face makeup, although waterproof mascara may need a little extra attention.

Dirty Lamb Tea Tree Wand, 1 fl oz - Retail Value $42

With the use of cinnamon stick, tea tree oil and witch hazel, this roll-on is meant to help heal, soothe and prevent acne. This watery product smells amazing and is tingly upon application. It didn't leave a trace after it dried on my skin, so it could be worn in the day or at night. I've never heard of cinnamon to treat acne, but I'm willing to give it a shot!

R+Co ONE Prep Travel Spray, 1.7 fl oz - Retail Value $12

This month, Kinder Beauty Box is sampling this prep spray and R+Co's Trophy Shine Texture Spray; R+Co is one of my favorite hair brands, so I was happy either way! I have thin hair, but lots of it, so it tends to need some detangling and this really does the trick. It is great as a light conditioner and has an addictive fragrance.

SkinForum Peeling Pad - Retail Value $4

Since eliminating a chemical exfoliant, I've been trying out new physical exfoliants, and this peeling pad is just gentle enough to work for my sensitive skin. This textured pad uses strawberry, raspberry and blueberry extracts to remove dead skin and brighten dull skin. Natural cellulose is gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin (mine) and can be used daily. After I rinsed my face, it felt smooth and looked exceptionally glowy.

Verdict: January's Kinder Beauty Box had a fab mix of products, per usual. I love the mix of types of products and was thrilled to see R+Co make an appearance this month! The value of this January's box came to $87.99, which is triple the cost of this box, and so worth it, in my opinion.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? If the current month's box is still available, it will ship soon after you sign up. Otherwise, you'll be added to the top of the list for the next month's shipment.

Value Breakdown: At $28.50 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Lotte Naturals Eye Serum: $5.51
  • R+Co: $3.89
  • SkinForum Peeling Pad: $1.30
  • Dirty Lamb Tea Tree Wand: $13.61
  • GLOV: $4.21

Alternatively, you are paying $5.70 for each of 5 items in this box.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.

The Tea Tree Wand worked exceptionally well on my aggressive nose and chin adult acne.

I used the Wand by itself on my acne areas at first but my skin started peeling a lot—my fault, I used the Wand solo without moisturizer. After trying a few moisturizers, I found that using Aveda Hydrating Lotion right before the Wand was perfect. Although it didn’t eliminate all of the acne, it’s much, much better and under control. I liked the Wand so much I bought another one from Dirty Lamb—nice customer service and quick shipping. 👍👏
