Gwynnie Bee December 2019 Review

This review is for each of the three-at-a-time items I received December 20th, 2019:

Plaid Insert Sheath Dress by Connected Apparel, Size 20 — Retail Value $60

I immediately closeted this dress when I laid my eyes on it— I am partial to mustard yellow and black paired with one another. One reason I adore this dress is because it makes me think of a modern day Audrey Horne from Twin Peaks— school girl plaid meets modern bodycon-style dress for some extra va-va voom sass! I now realize I should have styled this piece with saddle shoes for the full effect, but alas it looked too good with my faux leather biker jacket and leopard print creepers. Hello—pattern clashing is fierce! This dress has ample stretch too and is incredibly comfortable to wear. Wear this to the office and a rendezvous afterwards at your favorite diner for a slice of cherry pie and a hot cup of coffee!

Eyeglass Print and Flare Dress by eShakti, Size 18w — Retail Value $43

If you are a fanatic for eyeglasses much like me, well— I got the dress for you! This eShakti dress is simply divine. I knew it would be cute on, but not this cute! Dang! This dress has the perfect cut that wonderfully embraces and flatters one's curves. I was surprised the size 18 fit me due to the limited stretch, but it didn't feel like the fabric was pulling or too tight in the bust. This dress also has inside modesty buttons to ensure you don't have a gape. My big busted readers know the agony of wearing button-downs too well— no need to worry with this adorable number! I styled this dress with a pair of classic cat-eye glasses and black flats; just add a cardigan so you don't catch a draft at the office!

Cropped Striped Wide-Leg Soft Pants by Rafaella, Size 2x — Retail Value $61

I have been on the hunt for a good pair of striped pants for a long time. When I saw that these were being sent to me, I was disappointed because I considered them to be more of a seasonal summer piece. However, upon trying these ultra-stretchy and comfortable pants on I discovered that they could be worn in cooler months. Would I suggest them in snowy, extremely cold weather? No. I styled these on a day that was in the 50s and fared well. I wanted to show you guys multiple ways to wear these pants, too. I have them styled in a more casual way with a 5.6.7.8's faux crop top (I grabbed the bottom of the shirt into what looked like a pony tail, put a hair elastic around it to secure it, and folded it in to hide). I also have white studded mules, a faux leather biker jacket, and some retro Reb's Rainbohaus earrings on to bring out the black and white in the pants. This would be a fun look to head for drinks with friends.

Then, I opted to pair the wide leg pants with a cropped and well defined black sequin top, silver booties, and glamorous dangly earrings from my October ShoeDazzle review! This would be a great outfit to wear on a Saturday night out on the town!

Finally, I have a sassy and brassy styling perfect for the office. I wore it to mine and got compliments all day! Here I styled the Rafaella pants with the Rylie Faux Leather top by Rachel Roy I reviewed in my November Dia & Co review! I completed my outfit with a pair of ever-so-versatile and comfortable black flats. I can also envision this looking wonderful with a bright-colored sweater for the office as well!

Verdict: Gwynnie Bee remains one of my favorite subscription boxes to review. I absolutely love not only being able to try on items, but also being able to rent and wear the pieces. It truly feels like you are going through a friend's closet. The beauty of Gwynnie Bee is even though I select items I like, it is always a surprise which ones will be sent to me. This month's selections were all a surprise in terms of how much I enjoyed every single piece I received. The quality and styles were so on point! I am a busy lady and work two jobs and have multiple side hustles, so I love that I can wear these pieces and mail them back to Gwynnie Bee without having to worry about covering the shipping or washing the clothes— they cover it all! They include free shipping back with every item they send and dry clean the clothes you wear without any additional charge! I also love that Gwynnie Bee has an outlet where you can purchase gently worn, previous rental pieces at a deep discount. I cannot suggest them enough, especially since they offer their first month half off! Plus they are size inclusive with items ranging from size 0 to 32! Honestly, what are you guys waiting for? Get on it, and sign up today!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! All three pieces are available to rent or purchase.

Value Breakdown: Gwynnie Bee’s costs range depending on your subscription and how many items you are sent at a time. I have the $95 three-item-at-a-time plan. This includes free shipping and returns. I can get as many pieces as I like monthly, as long as I return each item first. I got three items this month. The three items total up to $164, which is $69 more than my monthly subscription fee! That is a heck of a value, but imagine if had I returned these pieces and received even more! Wow!

I really enjoy your GB reviews! I always check them out even if I am not in the market. the sunglasses dress is super flattering and very slimming on you. LOVE it. The pants look super trendy and your pairings are perfect for you. Not sure about the 1st dress but the others are great!
