FaceTory Lux Plus Box Winter 2019 Review

FaceTory Lux Plus Box includes a truly amazing booklet full of info about each product. This is a great one to keep around for detailed instructions on how to use, WHEN to use and each product's key ingredients.

Huangjisoo Pure Perfect Cleansing Oil, 6 oz. - Retail Value $32.00

I am slowly coming around to cleansing oils. One like this can really get tough makeup (like dark lipstick or waterproof mascara) off in seconds and it is a great first cleansing step. I just need to use one pump into my hands before smearing it around my dry face to get all the dirt and makeup loose. Once I rinse away with warm water, there is nothing left but well-balanced skin that doesn't feel dried out. Next, I'm ready for my second cleansing step...

EssenHerb Bulgarian Rose Foaming Cleanser, 150 ml - Retail Value $16.00

I've been using this foaming cleanser for several weeks now and quite like it! The pump doesn't deliver the most fluffy of foam, and it is a little watery but it definitely gets my face really clean without stripping it. The Bulgarian rose scent is nice and there is a heck of a lot of product in the bottle so it should last me quite some time. I've mentioned before my facialist suggested that I use foaming cleansers so I was happy to see one in this month's box that I like!

Puregen E.G.F Invivo Repair Serum, 30 ml - Retail Value $60.00

The serum included here is on the thinner side, so it gets absorbed extremely quickly and almost feels like a toner when it goes on. The FaceTory website explains that E.G.F stands for “epidermal growth factor” and that it’s "an ingredient that contains 53 different Peptides that help with cell growth and collagen production for a more youthful complexion." So, while I can't really feel or see a big difference after use, I like knowing that all of the ingredients in here are working hard for my skin.

FaceTory Oats Calming Glow Weightless Facial Oil, 30 ml - Retail Value $24.95

This facial oil is fantastic! It's almost like a moisturizer due to its milky consistency but it really makes my face feel super hydrated and soft without going overboard. Plus- look at that super cute label and box! I tend to use the dropper to distribute the oil on each of my cheeks, chin, and forehead before gently massaging and patting it into my skin. I love that it uses plant-based materials and is super gentle on my skin.

Skin & Lab Barrierderm Intensive Cream, 1.38 fl oz - Retail Value $38.00

I know I say that everything smells good but it does! This intensive cream is no exception. It has a really light lavender smell that isn't overpowering and just makes things seem calmer. The cream itself has a nice thick consistency that really makes me think it's helping plump and hydrate my dry winter skin. Only a small amount is needed to get my skin feeling great throughout the whole day. This product has been coming with me on all of my overnight trips recently and is a real keeper.

Betterskin Premium Antioxidant Bio-Cellulose Sheet Mask - Retail Value $9.00

Wow-what a great mask. Of course, I'm drawn to the nicely designed package, but this bio-cellulose mask comes with double backing to keep it safe and felt really moisturizing and spa-like on. I kept it on my face for 15 minutes while I made coffee and did some dishes in the morning before work (my favorite time to mask). It smells extremely wonderful and had a really pleasant effect on my morning because of it. Containing volcanic ash (to draw out bacteria and dust) and apep ferment houttuynia (which is anti-inflammatory) my face didn't feel sticky or overly gloopy from the serum after removing the mask. It was one of the most perfect masks I've done that allowed me to skip a serum or oil and go straight to my moisturizer.

The Beautiful Factr Peptide Blanket Re-Aging Mask - Retail Value $4.00

I love that this mask is called a "peptide blanket" because that describes this soft thick microfiber mask perfectly. It is like a wonderful blanket of good stuff for my face! It had a light pleasant scent to it but I honestly couldn't get over how soft and creamy it felt. The mask contains lactobacillus ferment lysate which maintains "good" bacteria while ginger root extract brings the antioxidants while soothing redness. I found this experience to be extremely luxurious and comforting and my face felt amazing afterward. I'd definitely look into purchasing this one again.

LASSIE'EL DEEEEP Focus Petit Patch Mask Lifting Solution - Retail Value $5.00

I am always up for a mask that has a little more to offer than the average sheet. This one has additional patches to put on my face before the sheet mask itself: under my eyes and on my smile lines on the sides of my mouth. I had to break out the booklet for this one because the patches were not sticking to my dry face very well. Ah-ha! I needed to give my skin a spray with toner first to dampen, then they stuck like a dream. They're thinner than paper and one began to dissolve almost immediately on contact. Once they were in place, I took out the full sheet mask, removed the backing, and placed it over the strips. I was surprised by the lack of almost any fragrance at all, but it's better than too much. I happened to do this mask in the morning, so I went about my business making coffee while it was on my face for about 10 minutes. Once I removed the mask, the strips had completely disappeared. They're supposed to give a little extra boost and overall, this 2-step mask helps with wrinkles and skin cell renewal with ubiquinone and retinyl palmitate. The mask had quite a lot of essence on it, so I did blot some of it off since I was pressed for time and couldn't wait for it all to soak in before massaging. My face legitimately looked glowy a little later in the morning after I finished with the oats facial oil and intensive cream.

MediHeal Golden Chip Acupoint Mask - Retail Value $4.00

This type of mask is new to me and I've never seen anything like it before. The mask itself is black charcoal and it has ten gold acupoints on it that are supposed to line up with pressure points on your face. Although many photos show this with the gold points on the outside, I think it's purely for show since they directions want you to put the points against your face. I think I got everything lined up pretty well on my face and then laid in bed to relax for 15 minutes, as directed. Within that time, I stimulated the points by pressing each 2-3 times which was kind of fun and definitely felt more spa-like. When the time was up, I pressed each point one last time before removing the mask. My skin felt refreshed by the willow bark and niacinamide while I think the pressure points helped relieve tension in my face. What a fun mask!

Ultru I'm Sorry For My Skin pH5.5 Jelly Mask Purifying - Retail Value $4.00

Mmm- this mask smells so nice! I think it's the tangerine in there that I'm smelling, but it has a whole slew of nice stuff like cucumber, basil, rosemary, and nutmeg to accompany the key ingredients: white willow bark extract and Centella Asiatica extract. The former controls the overproduction of sebum which can clog pores while the latter speeds up healing and calms the skin. This had a ton of essence leftover in the package that I can save and slater on my face at a later date, but it was a very nice experience on as well. My face felt hydrated and plump after this jelly mask!

Verdict: I get so excited when the latest FaceTory Lux Plus Box arrives because it's always filled with fun yet effective skincare! I'm always happy to see a mix of masks with other products that are the latest and greatest from Korea to add to my skincare routine. The booklet is extremely helpful in showing me how to use each product in what order and why they chose to include it. Their masks are high-quality and some of my favorites each time. If I had to choose just one skincare box to keep receiving, this would be high on my list because it makes me so happy! I also really appreciate that it's only quarterly so that I have plenty of time to use everything before the next one shows up. I think my favorites this time are the oats facial oil, the intensive cream, and the blanket and antioxidant masks! This box has a value of $196.94 which is incredible for a $49.95 box!

Darn it couldn’t resist this box. It looks Sooooo good! I saw a comment regarding amazon and saw that you can subscribe through them and get 7.50 off first box if prime member. I have too many sheet masks, so that’s better for me.

Thanks for mentioning the Amazon deal! I couldn’t resist!!

Ooh! Thanks so much for this info! While I LOVE masks I’m not the biggest fan of sheet masks so I use them very rarely. With my beauty sub box addiction I already have more than I need in my stash. I’ve been eyeing this box for a while but I really don’t need it. At all. So I have resisted but mainly because of the price. But with the $7.50 discount and it only being a quarterly box I think I will g ahead and give in. This particular month has so many intriguing products! I’m especially anxious to try the oat “oil” because while I do have mostly dry combo skin I always feel like facial oils are overdoing it. They don’t seem to actually cause any problems so it’s probably just that I don’t really like my face feeling oily. So this not-so-oily oil sounds perfect! I think this is the most excited I’ve been about a box in a long time. Robyn, thanks for the discount tip and Marne, thanks for a great informative review!

My pleasure, Dani!

😊 my sheet masks go to my daughter. I got a crazy deal last year for her, 100 sheet masks for $60. We’ve been swimming ever since 😆

Alice

It’s my favorite box. Once all my other multi month subs are complete, this will be my only box.

After looking at all of the K beauty boxes out there, I received Facetory lux plus fall box and was really impressed with the products, all of which are useful and easily incorporated into my skin care routine. I also like you can skip a season if you are currently on product overload 😁. Highly recommend them if you are looking to try some Korean beauty.

I get my renewal in Feb so I can’t wait to get these. I’m still using my face oil and toner from the winter box and it’s one of my faves. I love their Friday and Monday specials on their website too. I got a serum and snail eye patch for like $12!

Amazon has a monthly Facetory box called K-Glow. Anyone tried it? Seems like some of the same products from the Winter box.

What a great box! Thanks for reviewing. I’m thinking this box would make a great birthday gift for someone into trying new skincare. Or me haha

Facetory Lux Plus is my favorite skincare sub at the moment. I love that these are all full sized quality items. My skin feels soft and so clean and you are right…everything smells amazing!

I am seriously considering signing up for their 7 mask monthly subscription in addition to the quarterly one and have these be my only skincare boxes for a while.

I do the 7 lux as well as this lux plus. What I love is it’s very customizable to the frequency you want. My lux 7 is also every 3 months. But if after seeing spoilers and I want that month I can get I. But really 3very 3 months is plenty. My favorite sub box & company for sure!

I was thinking the same thing though I got some annual subs with Black Friday sales, so I’m thinking this might be my plan for next year…but probably this year, too 🤣
