Emma & Chloé December 2019 Review

The packaging is always gorgeous and totally great for jewelry storage or travel. Also, new box style this month! I was less than thrilled that it happened to be FILLED with gold glitter, but I guess it is the season for such things.

Eve Earrings - Listed Value $95.00

This month, our piece was designed in collaboration with Etam, a French lingerie company. The inspiration behind these earrings was the duality of women, contrasting circles and colors. All that aside, I actually really like these. I have nothing like them in my collection. The top is a mini circle studded in black and clear crystals, and the lower section is a larger, thin, golden hoop. Delicately dangling inside is a thin chain and a single crystal. They are delicate enough to feel totally wearable, but also large and different enough to be quite a statement piece. I can totally see myself wearing these with a top knot and a chic black turtle neck. Am I French yet?

All Emma & Chloé pieces also come with a certificate of authenticity card plus care instructions on the back:

Verdict: This month's earrings were like nothing I own! I think the retail value of $95 is a little wild, but they are certainly well made and have a designer feel to them. I can see myself wearing these pretty often in 2020!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I signed up for a three-month sub and only got one out of the three boxes I was supposed to get. Customer service ignores my emails and won’t respond at all, so I have no way of getting this resolved. Complete waste of money, don’t sign up.

I’ve had nothing but problems with this box. The bracelets never fit me nor do the rings. When I went to cancel they told me I couldn’t and had to wait 3 months! Long story short French law (and they are a French company) says I can. I had to file a claim with my bank. They continue to send jewellery and I continue to send it back.

E&C jewelry prices always seem pretty inflated. And honestly, I don’t think the materials are what they advertise. I have been a member for over a year and I used to get a mix of silver plate/gold but almost everything I had in silver started turning colors after a bit. It was with regular use but I have jewelry that I use daily (for years) that has never even thought of changing colors on me. I don’t know enough about metals to know exactly what this means except that it definitely isn’t worth the price they put on it. Even for $35, I expect the jewelry to last. I changed my pref to only gold and haven’t experienced any problems with the gold pieces.
I like the earrings this month. They are a little flashy for me but I just need to wear them a few times and get used to them.

No question that they’re cute and they look great on you, but 35 bucks is pushing it, I think.
