Stitch Fix Plus November 2019 Box 0001

Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey of your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences. After choosing when you’d like to receive your delivery, your stylist handpicks 5 items based on your preferences. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)

My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different.

Stitch Fix Plus Size Clothing November 2019 Review

Stitch Fix Plus November 2019 Box 0004

This is the invoice that was included. It shows in detail the items selected for me and the brands, sizes, and cost of each piece. The total comes up to $250.75 after all the discounts if I opt to keep everything—which is a $110.25 total savings! That is like getting the MIA Booties for free!

Stitch Fix Plus November 2019 Box 0005

As always, I received this handy sheet with a note from this month’s stylist, Nicole! What a beautiful name, am I right? She includes some helpful styling tips for a few of the pieces and reasons for why she selected them for me. I appreciate Nicole referencing the feedback requesting skirts and sweaters for the holiday season that I provided from the last Fix!

Evianna Faux Wrap Knit Dress by Leota, Size 2x — Retail Value $88

I have reviewed quite a few Leota pieces over the years; it remains a brand I seek and look forward to getting from the various subscriptions and styling services I review. This dress is no exception. My boyfriend was my guest photographer for this shoot and he absolutely loved this on me! The neckline is so unique and comes down almost like a diamond instead of the typical v-neck. The stretchy wrap style hugs the body and really shows off all my curves and swerves. The jewel tone of this dress could make it a great contender for holiday parties-- just pair it with a crystal statement necklace, light taupe faux fur, black tights, and black velvet Mary Jane chunky heels. This dress also could be an excellent item to wear at work too, just style with flats or black booties and you are good to go!

Hans Crochet Front Top by TRULY POPPY, Size 2x — Retail Value $58

I certainly have a lot of black tops, but this particular piece is elevated due to the crochet detail on the front. I love the texture and that the sleeves do not have the black lining to show the contrast against my (extremely) pale skin. The back is a solid, stretchy black T-shirt material which provides a more fitted quality as well. A top like this will dress up an otherwise casual black top and jeans look, but will also look fantastic with a blazer and dress pants combo. I keep imagining it paired with the Priscilla Ono lime green set from her Eloquii line last spring-- how stunning! I also think this would look fantastic for some slight pattern clashing with a red plaid holiday skirt, faux-leather black biker jacket, and ankle booties! See what I mean-- so many killer looks from just one top!

Alexa Skinny Pant by Michel Studio, Size 22w — Retail Value $68

I love good skinny leg dress/work pants and these ones fit that bill well. They have ample stretch and taper well at the ankle-- very key! My only complaints: the decorative, non-functional zipper pockets and that I would prefer these to be a tad more high-waisted. Otherwise, these are perfect for the office and beyond. For a work holiday event, wear these at the office with a glittery pussybow blouse tucked in and silver pointy toe loafers or a bulky, cozy, cable knit sweater and booties.

Fabi Leather Heeled Bootie by MIA, Size 9.5 — Retail Value $109

My stylist, Nicole, sent me these classic heeled booties. The boots are incredibly well made and comfortable-- yes, I am not squeezing my Barney Rubble feet into these cuties! The material is the butteriest, soft leather too. The braided detail amplifies an otherwise standard pair of black booties. The $109 price tag may seem steep with the impending holiday madness, but keep in mind how adaptable these will be in your wardrobe! They will pair well with trousers, torn jeans, dresses, and mini skirts alike! Imagine these with cream knee socks, tan faux-suede mini skirt, mustard yellow mock turtle neck sweater, and beret for a classic cold weather look!

Kate Spade Small Square Studs by Kate Spade — Retail Value $38

I love glitter anything, so I was extremely pleased to see my stylist sent along these Kate Spade earrings. The multi-colored glitter resin earrings are fantastic for the holiday season! I opted not to keep these because they are a bit subdued for me. Yes, I said subdued. I generally gravitate towards bigger statement pieces and I have a pair of vintage glitter resin button earrings already. The size of these earrings are ideal for everyday wear and will add a sprinkle of glamour to even your most casual ensemble!

The Verdict: This month's Stitch Fix was filled with versatile staples and a few fancy pieces for the holidays! I loved the Leota dress and the Kate Spade earrings, but opted not to keep either due to the fast-approaching holiday season. The other items were well made and fantastic basics one can build up their wardrobe upon. I am eager to see what my stylist sends me next month-- she seems to have a real gauge on what I like. Plus she is incredibly receptive to my feedback, good or bad. I can't suggest enough to provide detailed feedback each month after returning your Fix as well as providing your Pinterest link to your stylist. It may sound redundant, but it really helps to give your stylist visuals on what pieces appeal to you. I did all of the above and completed a few rounds of the Style Shuffle on the Stitch Fix site as well. I requested white chunky booties for my next Fix and a few glitzy numbers for the holidays! I can't wait to see what Nicole picks out for me!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get these pieces if you sign up today? Stitch Fix curates its Fixes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This personal styling service has a $20 styling fee with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $361. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 25% discount. The $20.00 cost of the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning I’d end up spending $250.75 for the whole box. Ultimately, that’s roughly a 31% discount!

Awe thank you, Misti! I used to collaborate with a photographer that used to say the same thing. He was one of the first I worked with professionally. I think he preferred my styling to my modeling, but I enjoy doing both for sure!

As always, everything looks great on you, Nicole. I’ve had my eye on those earrings for the longest time. Would you say they’re worth the price, quality-wise?

Nicole, that full-length pic of you in the black top, skinny jeans, and black booties is amazing. I know that look might be on the tame side for you but you look fantastic!
