SnackNation Review - Almonds + More

First, there is a card explaining how you can save on your next box by filling out a survey.

Haddar 100% Fruit Leather, 0.5 oz - Buy 55 for $25.95

I mean, can you ever go wrong with fruit leather? Yum! I loved this thicker ribbed snack with its berry flavors and just enough sweetness.

Country Archer Pineapple Pork Stick, 1 oz – Retail Value $2.00

I don't eat pork, so I passed this on to Marne to try. She was enthusiastic until she realized it was also sweet, with pineapple. She was not into this snack for that reason. Ironically, as someone who loves pineapple on pizza, I probably would have loved this if it wasn't pork!

Madi K's Sea Salt Almonds, 18 g –  Buy 31 18 g bags for $14.58

Almonds are always a tasty and healthy decision, especially if you are craving something savory but want to stick to a healthy indulgence. These were lightly sprinkled with sea salt which made them extra satisfying.

Double Dutch Stroopwaffle Cookie – Buy 8 for $9.97

I was so excited to see this snack this month! I absolutely LOVE a waffle cookie like this paired with my afternoon Earl Grey tea. Filled inside with a delicate layer of caramel, this is a tea-approved treat! I really need to just buy a box of them to keep in my desk!

Fit Joy Foods Grain Free Puffs, 30 g – Buy 6 packs for $19.99

These puffs were another win for me. I tend to like protein powered and cheese flavored puffy snacks, what can I say? In addition to being tasty, they were also pretty filling since they have a hefty 18 g of protein!

Fast Bar – Buy 10 packs for $30.00

I was a little confused by this product but I guess it is meant to be something you can eat while fasting that somehow doesn't break your fast?

The formulation of Fast Bar comes from science. After 20 years of research, scientists at the University of Southern California (USC) discovered a nutri-technology that nourishes the body while keeping it in a fasting mode known as the Fasting Mimicking Diet (FMD) ®.

I don't know about all that, but I did find this bar delicious!

Verdict: This month's SnackNation was pretty good! The pork stick was the only real dud, but I feel like that is a rather polarizing snack in general. Everything else was quite delicious and made much better snack options than my usual fare, so I am pleased indeed.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? It’s more of a randomized selection. From SnackNation:

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I just received my first and last SnackNation Family Plan (25 snacks) box. I was supposed to receive 25 snacks but only received 20. I was also under the assumption that the snacks were “Clean” and “Tasty snacks always made with real ingredients and no added sugar or chemicals” as promised on the website. I ended up giving over 2/3 of the snacks to my husband because almost all of the snacks contained “added sugars” which were not listed on the Nutritional Info labels. The first snack I opened tasted really sweet so I checked the ingredients list and it contained (I Swear!) all of the following: Sugar – Corn Syrup – Invert Syrup – Molasses AND Fructose. The product was Appleway Oatmeal Bar. After seeing this, I checked all of the labels and the largest majority of the snacks contained “added sugars” that while included in the ingredients list, were not listed on the Nutrition Labels. I don’t normally leave bad reviews, especially for products that give back like SnackNation does. I just wanted to make sure that other people who prefer to not ingest “added sugars” are aware of this. Also – if you are like me and have to count every dime – please know that the January 2020 (25) Snack Family Plan (at least mine) only actually comes with 20 snacks. On a brighter note however; cancelling the subscription was painless and so far, the snacks taste really good (but why wouldn’t they with all of those added sugars). With that said, you may be able to request NO ADDED SUGAR but I’m really not sure.

My box was good this month! I’ll actually try everything, instead of pawning off unwanted items to my loved ones.

– Hatch green Chile beef biltong stick
– keep healthy cashew date bar
– baked crunchy apple chios
– yumearth holiday gummies
– superseedz dark chocolate pumpkin seeds
– ekoa pure pineapple fruit bar

Anyone know what’s going on with the Snacknation shop? It’s been almost empty for months!
