Style Plan by Frank And Oak Review - November 2019

I received this page of info with my shipment that lets me know that I can find details about my clothing in my account. They also mention having shipping delays again this month but I didn't experience anything I'd call a delay.

Striped Bracelet-Sleeved Crewneck in Bright White, size medium - Retail Value $39.50, Member Price $37.50

The first thing I chose from my 15 or so items picked by the styling team was this soft long-sleeve striped tee. It has a slightly boxy fit and it's just barely long enough for me to tuck in which I've been doing with my shirts a lot lately. I had to google "bracelet-sleeved", and learned that they are "slightly longer than 3/4 sleeves. They tend to sit just above the wrist, whereas 3/4 sleeves will sit about half-way up your forearm." Well, golly! I learned something new! This shirt is great for fall because of that sleeve length and is made of 50% recycled cotton, 50% Lenzing Tencel (fibers made from sustainable eucalyptus plants as their raw material. Zero-waste process.). Frank And Oak is always making clothing with new technology that reduces waste and environmental stress which is fantastic.  So not only is this shirt lightweight and ridiculously soft and comfy- but it makes me feel more responsible!

Seawool Cardigan in Taupe Brown, size medium - Retail Value $89.50, Member Price $84.50

I fell in love with this cardigan as soon as I laid eyes on it. That color! That texture! And- it's made out of seawool- a quality yarn made from recycled polyester and oyster shell composites! So cool! I really like the way it's styled on the model (tucked in and buttoned up) on the Frank And Oak site but I like to play is casual with it unbuttoned and untucked. I may experiment with the other way in the future. I have been wearing this super often since I got it just because it's warm and easy to throw on. It has drop shoulders which accentuates the loose fit and overall brings a casual yet studious look to my wardrobe. This is definitely going to be a winter staple for me this year!

Heavy Satin Camp Collar Dress in Black, size medium - Retail Value $119.00, Member Price $107.50

I don't wear dresses often, but when I do, they are almost always black. What can I say? I love a good LBD. This slouchy 100% polyester number features buttons all the way down the front with a tie waist to cinch, a collar, and loose fit cuffed sleeves. The best part? Pockets! Yep- I'm one of those women who love pockets in everything. I'm a little unsure about where it hits my leg (mid-calf) but perhaps I just chose the wrong shoes to wear with it and may try this with a kitten heel in the future. I think this cut is really flattering on me and the style is different than anything in my closet so I'm excited.

2-Pack Pointelle Socks in Multi, one-size - Retail Value $19.50, Member Price $17.50

These socks were one of my stylist's suggestions so I was like "why not?" and tossed them into my Style Plan box as well. Best decision I've made in a while because these things are COZY! Honestly- they're incredibly soft and I'm stoked that they actually fit my tiny size 6 feet really well too! They're 75% acrylic, 21% polyester, 2% wool, and 2% spandex which happens to make for an incredibly warm blend without making my feet sweaty.

Verdict: Style Plan by Frank And Oak is quickly becoming one of my favorite subscriptions since I love the brand and the fact that I get some choice of what I receive in my box each month. Their prices for some items tend to be a bit higher than your average retailer (like The Gap) but they are also being more conscious of ethical sourcing, using organic cotton, and making garments out of more sustainable materials. Comparing them to a brand like JCrew- I don't think a lot of the prices are all that different but I feel a little better supporting a company that is open to using more unique sustainable fabrics.

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? Each Style Plan by Frank And Oak box is tailored to your own preferences so you'll most likely have different options than me. The good news is that you can sign up for your own Style Plan to see what the styling team will pick for you!

ACTIVE DEAL: Get $35 off your first month of Style Plan!
CODE: MSA35

Value Breakdown: The retail price for the four items I received this month is $267.50, but with the discounted member pricing it comes to $247.00. That's a savings of $20.00 for this box.
