Sephora Favorites: Lashstash Review

HUDA BEAUTY Classic False Lashes in Scarlett #8 -  Retail Value $20

These are described as being a dramatic style with high volume, and that is an absolutely accurate description. They give me ~big hoop energy~ vibes and when I was wearing them they definitely would graze my eyebrows. The band on these lashes was sturdy, so after I bent them a bit I felt I was able to get a close, comfortable fit. Fake lashes will definitely remain a special occasion makeup item for me, but these were perfect when I wanted a dramatic look before going to a concert.

Here I am wearing them!

IT Cosmetics Superhero™ Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara in Super Black, 0.30 oz - Retail Value $24

Though this mascara isn’t my favorite, it’s a solid performer for IT. It added length and curl to my lashes, but it leaves me craving just a bit more volume and definition. You can see me wearing it here.

Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils - The Curler in Rebellious Black, 0.06 oz - Estimated Value $7.91 (Buy the 0.22 oz version for $29)

I love the curved brush on this wand, but as much as I wanted to love the performance I could only like it. I was able to get good lash separation and lift, but not so much the volume I crave.

Here I am wearing it!

Milk Makeup KUSH High Volume Mascara in Blackest Black, 0.10 oz - Estimated Value $9.23 (Buy the 0.13 oz version for $12)

This is a newer mascara release, and while I loved the length and volume this mascara gave me I also had major issues with clumping and flaking. You can see me trying it on here.

tarte Big Ego Mascara, 0.067 oz - Estimated Value $5.36 (Buy the 0.15 oz version for $12)

I didn’t love this mascara- the wand and formula remind me of the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, but I didn’t get comparable results. This also smudged pretty easily on me, and the wand was a bit hard to use because it felt like it wasn’t attached securely to the lid.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara in Black, 0.17 oz - Estimated Value $11.33. (Buy the 0.21 oz version for $14)

I’ve owned this mascara in the full-size in the past, and I’m always happy to get samples of this. This gives me jet black, fluffy lashes without clumping, and I like how it gives my eyes a wide-eyed look.

SEPHORA COLLECTION LashCraft Big Volume Mascara, 0.18 oz - Estimated Value $5.72 (Buy the 0.44 oz version for $14)

This mascara surprised me- I would absolutely recommend owning this in the full-size considering it retails for only $14. This volumizing formula impressed me more than some of the pricier mascaras in this kit, and it didn’t smudge or flake on me.

Here it is on!

Too Faced Damn Girl! 24-Hour Mascara, 0.20 oz - Retail Value $13

I really like this mascara- it gives me the dramatic volume that I want from a mascara, and it pairs well with lengthening mascaras if I’m going for bold, long lashes. When going in with multiple coats I have to take care to avoid clumping, but that only adds an extra second or two to my overall routine.

Here it is on!

NARS Climax Mascara in Explicit Black, 0.08 oz - Retail Value $11

I don’t think I’ve tried this mascara from NARS before now, but I like it! It didn’t smudge on me or flake throughout the day, and I was able to get volume and some extra length without clumping.

Here it is on!

PAT McGRATH LABS FetishEyes™ Mascara, 0.16 oz - Estimated Value $17.78 (Buy the 0.27 oz version for $30)

This mascara has a big, fluffy brush that made it a bit difficult to get to the very base of my lashes, but I still really liked the length and separation this gave my lashes.

Here it is on!

Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara, 0.30 oz - Retail  Value $25

I have owned this before and I am happy to have it back in my arsenal- it does a really good job of curling and lengthening my lashes without clumping. I enjoy it on its own, but when I’m craving a dramatic eye I will pair this with a more volumizing formula and end up with big lashes that are still defined.

The Verdict: I probably have fifty various mascara samples scattered all over my apartment, but I was still stoked to get this kit for review. I’m impressed it contained so many new-to-me formulas and newer releases, and I think there’s a mascara for everyone here. This would make a great present for an eye-makeup lover in your life, so I would recommend keeping an eye out for holiday sales! Value-wise, this kit has a total value of $150.33, which exceeds the promised value of $135.

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you sign up today? Yes, this kit still available—and as of publication, it's on sale for $35!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $53.95 ($48 + $5.95 shipping) and had a total value of $150.33, which means you are paying approximately the following per item:

Great review! You made me decide to try this out! For some reason your link to the box on the Sephora site doesn’t seem to be working, though, but if you search for this it is still available and on sale for $34.

Also, if anyone is interested in the Sephora Favorites sets the Skin Wonderland or Treat Yourself, I noticed today that the Skin Wonderland is on sale for half off for $32 and the Treat Yourself is down to $38, which is almost half off!

Great review! Thank you for putting the product in the pic with your lashes. I’m tempted to buy the mascara sampler every time I see it, but have hesitated. You won me over!
