I had the Ultimate for October and November. Cancelled for December although I must say ipsy Ultimate is starting to improve… However, you may get 1, 2, or even 3 “unique” or “new” products to the Ultimate/ipsy family, but the rest of the products will be repeats! That’s my biggest problem right now and why I will not resubscribe to the Ultimate at this point.

I am excited about these bags. I have all 3.

I think they are a great way to try new things and I use most everything. I think the silver bags are gorgeous.

I am on Ipsy overkill though and will pause my GBP and GBU for a while.

Do I think the 111Skin is a sample? No. Absolutely not. Why would they put the value and offer it as a choice if it were a sample? I always read details before I select and it is a full size.

You should have gotten an email for it. I didn’t last month so I discovered just going to the ipsy sure and logging in will let you tap on a button for making your choice. To make a choice for each bag you have to hit the button for each bag, of course. I paused my regular bag a d stuck with plus and ultimate this month. Looking forward to both of them very much!

No it’s definitely not worth it. I got the 1st and 2nd & it was the biggest waste of money. I’m stickin to boxy charm and boxyluxe so much better and I had ipsy for years. I actually didn’t mind the glam bag plus but I just don’t need more stuff. The ultimate was such a disappointment the 1st month everyone was hating it where they actually gave refunds or people canceled or they gave the next month free that’s how bad it was. People still Didn’t seem to like Last month and if I hadn’t gotten it for free I would have skipped the month. I’m happy I canceled. I looked at the spoilers to see if I wanted to possibly rejoin but absolutely not. Again this is only my opinion it depends on what you like & what you think is worth it.

I like it. I see that it isn’t rated well, and am not sure why that is. Don’t love or like every product, but can count on at least one product being worth more than the sub price (and generally the one that I choose). Wish they didn’t send an eyeshadow palette with every box, but that’s only because I don’t use them. I do love the full size products, though, as I was really really tired of tiny samples filling my stash, products that only seemed to have a few days use. Good luck!

Just so you guys know IPSY has started their own brand and that cute little $35 brush is an IPSY owned brand.

Yep, I looked around yesterday and the CC company first appeared like 3 weeks ago, with a website and a few youtube videos. Ipsy seems to own many of these “new” companies that our boxes have started to get filled with over the last few months. Doesn’t give me the warm fuzzies tbh

Yes. This is what I’ve been saying for a while. Ipsy instead of sending name brand stuff is using shell companies to make cheap makeup to use in its subs and keep most “in house” …I wonder if labs have tested this stuff to see what’s in it.

Ipsy turned greedy instead of just building relationships with good brands, are trying to consolidate and turned greedy. They get everything they put in bags free anyway. Sad the direction they chose to go.

I’m still not seeing where Ultimate is worth it, though Nov. looks like a definite improvement from Oct. Considering how low that bar was set though, how could it not be?

Nothing from Morphe excites me in the least.

111Skin seems like an overpriced, mediocre brand and we know they change up their formulas and manufacture in China for the products that go in the Ipsy bags, so no thanks.

The Skin & Co. would get used, but it’s not something I would really look forward to getting. The Truffle spray I tried from this brand was nothing special at all.

The Body Shimmer is cute, but it’s not enough to pull the weight for all the other mediocre products this month, so still keeping my powder dry with the Ultimate bag for now.

I’ve been getting all original products in my bags. Nothing made in China except for the bag most likely. But I do check and nothing bad yet. Ive been a member since September 2019.🤷‍♀️

Having gotten this bag for two months now, I think the value is in the quantity. Quantity-wise, it’s on a par with the similarly priced Boxyluxe. I feel like I keep reaching in for more and more with this box. Plus the actual bag is more usable, sturdier, bigger.

As for quality of the products, that’s subjective. I do think I’m getting $50 worth of stuff, and I do use most of it. The main change I would make is to not get more than one of the same item, unless it’s a lip color. I mean, not 2-3 masks or 2-3 moisturizers. This probably annoys me because I get so many subs, including all three ipsys, so I get those items faster than I go through them, unlike a palette or a lipstick where I’m not trying to go through it.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m always happy to see one moisturizer or cleanser or serum in a box, just not multiples.

Overall, I’m more pleased with Ultimate than I am with Plus though, but I’m keeping all 3.

At least with boxy you are getting brands that are recognized, even if they are indie brands or high end brands. Ipsy has been using shell companies for a while now and got too greedy. I’d rather try name brand products that if I like and they work for me, I will go out and buy again and again vs some random cheap company junk.

The last couple months the skin care in ipsy and ultimate has been horrid. The stuff pills and dont absorb into skin etc. Where the name brand Sunday riley cream I got in plus a few months back, I now buy every month and use.. this random crap I’d never invest in and I cant even get it to work for my elbows or feet it’s so bad.

Not loving anything spoiled yet and I’m sure we will get one of the Morphe palettes which I don’t want. I think I’m skipping, possible canceling. I’d rather spend my $50 on the Notoriously Morbid Black Friday sale and get things I know I want and will use.

Ipsys customer service is top notch for sure!! I absolutely adore them for it and it’s nice to know your appreciated and valued as a customer UNLIKE BOXYCHARM!!! I just had to reach out to them just a few days ago bc someone(almost positive it was the person who delivers my mail) but anyways someone had opened my box, took 4 items and then resealed it so I was SUPER bummed! I let them know what happened and they VERY promptly(within hrs) had those 4 items resent to me! NO question asked! Boxycharm has NEVER once offered to help fix ANY of the issues I’ve had with over the last 2 years AND there’s been PLENTY bc they are CONSTANTLY screwing stuff up and won’t even attempt to try to fix it which is crazy bc 3/4 of the time they were the ones at fault!!! They’ll give you EVERY excuse in the book just so they don’t have to make it right. It’s insane to be with a company for 2 years and NOT ONCE have I been successfully upgraded for ANY of their boxes when they first LAUNCH despite being one of the first in line! When it happened again for premium I wrote in to let them know ppl being upgraded on a first come first serve basis was a TOTAL lie bc a couple of friends of mine who subbed AFTER me got there’s but NOT me! I said if I don’t get the upgrade then I wanted a refund for base box and cancel MY SUBSCRIPTION ALTOGETHER! Of course I got a genetic automated response ALONG with the instructions on how to cancel my own subscription! Of course they waited to respond until the day they shipped my box so that they wouldn’t have to refund me! They are SO dirty!!

Yeah these Sub boxes DO NOT give refunds…you get your box you paid for and then you can cancel and that’s it. You just have to accept the “loss” and cancel and move on from the company
..basically we are getting “discounted” stuff so that usually means no refunds unfortunately. I don’t like that notion, but it is just the way it is with these boxes.

Ipsy customer service is not great at all. They say you can opt out of three items. I’m opted out of one and received this item for 3 months straight. All they say is we are sorrry, opt outs aren’t definite and BY THE WAY…did you know you can opt out if three item categories?!? It’s infuriating. Last month I skipped as soon as the Gigi gorgeous spoilers came out. I am sure I skipped because when choice came out they said I couldn’t pick since I skipped. They charged me anyway! They refunded after I reached out but also fraudulently claimed I skipped after the deadline. If it really had been after the deadline, they never would have refunded me! I have skipped 4 (maybe 5 I can’t recall) or the last 6 boxes. Ipsy is turning to trash.

Agreed, I sometimes have to fight tooth and nail to right a wrong. In my first Ultimate box, I was missing TWO of the full-size products. I was like seriously?! It took 15 emails before I was sent the replacement.

This is a related Ipsy note relative to their customer service. I received my regular Glam Bag for November yesterday. I was missing one of my add ons. I contacted cs via email. Within a half hour I received a reply that they were so sorry for the negative experience with the missing expected item, and that they were issuing a replacement order at once and it would ship within five days. I’m very satisfied with their prompt customer service. I wish BC was as efficient. Still waiting on my choice item with that fiasco of a company…

Stay tuned! Sometimes they say they’ll send a replacement, & what you get is either a “comparable” item, or a completely different item. This can be good OR bad, lol.

I personally have received: Laura Mercier loose setting powder in place of Luna Beauty baked setting powder (👍👍👍) and a glass nail file in place of a Luxie brush (👎👎👎).

I must be in the minority. I’ve only had bad experiences with their customer service. I added an add on and didn’t receive it. I reached out to them and they emailed me a week later saying they would ship it. They sent the wrong brand and color (it was a gel eyeliner). Emailed them again, they said they would fix it. The next month they sent a mascara instead. Emailed them to tell them their mistake, and was told I would get a refund. That was in August and I never received anything. It was only $3, but it still makes me upset. Especially since they asked for the wrong products back!
Then I cancelled November’s box in October. Still have my confirmation email, and they still charged me. I’m done with ipsy.

I’ve always had good experiences with their customer service by email and through their app. One has to keep in mind ipsy has over 3 million members. Things are bound to go wrong once in a while. When they do, ipsy is usually very prompt to respond and make it right as best they can.

Same here. I like the IIISKIN, Gingerbread shimmer and the brush. The others are “meh” for me. But i think ill plow ahead this month. I paused Ultimate and Plus for November and am sooo ooo friggin glad I did. Horrible products for me personally last month. But im feelin the spirit with this one. Lol. Tho I DID pause the Plus again for December. Im tip toeing back into the pool, not high diving 😂

Honestly, you might want to give it a try. My box this month was amazing. I had a hard time figuring out what my ‘sample’ size ones were… still can only call three of them ‘sample sizes’. They really stepped it up. Plus, they seem to have A LOT less product variations for the Ultimate. So your bound to get almost everything they sneak peek !
