FaceTory 7 Lux October 2019 Review

Now on to the masks!

CLIV Tiger Character Mask - Listed Value $4.50

You guessed it! This mask has a tiger face on it! I forgot to take a shot, but it looks very much like the tiger on the outside of the package. It had a nondescript but fresh masky scent and a clear serum. It didn't cling to my face as well as I like, but it was still super fun and my cat was terrified of me when I wore it, so that is always entertaining.

SSaw7Teen Herb Tea Mask - Listed Value $3.50

I always want tea masks to smell like tea, but they rarely do. That is ok though, because this mask was awesome! It was one of those that immediately reduced any redness I was experiencing, and the material fit my face perfectly. It has a clean + herbal scent that was very mild.

Hwang Kum Hee One Shot Hamamelis Calming Mask - Retail Value $3.50

This was another mask that really reduced the redness on my flushed skin. I also thought the packaging was gorgeous! This was probably one of the most hydrating masks this month and left my skin dewy and really radiant. I would totally buy more of these!

Leaders Insolution 7 Wonders Tundra Cranberry Anti-Aging Mask - Retail Value $6.00

This mask was incredible. I was a little annoyed at first because it was difficult to open, then inside was a super-thin, delicate mask sandwiched between two protective layers. It was much more time consuming to just apply compared to other masks, but, wow, it was worth it. It smelled like flowers and perfume, and the mask material itself was a delightfully slimy coconut material that fit my face and eyes perfectly. This was one of those masks that felt more luxe and expensive than many others, and I would gladly buy a few more of these!

NOHJ Skin Traveller Rose Aqua Calming Mask - Listed Value $3.50

Gosh, another winner! I usually don't have the best luck with foil masks because they are stiff and don't contour to my face well. This was an exception because the foil element was just a decorative top layer that didn't change the mask's overall fit. It was also so pretty! This clear serum was extra light and watery, and though there was a rose element to the scent, it wasn't strong. This was a great day type of mask since it was so lightweight.

Rococo!

EssenHERB Bulgarian Rose Mask - Listed Value $4.00

I love anything rose so this mask was yet another winner for me. The scent is a true rose, and it is not overwhelming, but certainly noticeable. The mask material was quilted, but still fit really well, probably due to how saturated in serum this thing was. The serum was a medium weight clear liquid, and a lot was left on my face after I removed it, making it perfect to pat in the excess.

Pureforet Centella Multi Mask Pack - Retail Value $4.00

This mask was also pretty stellar. It is a thinner sheet that clings in all the right places, though the eyes were a little narrow for my face. The serum felt a little closer to a cream, and it was so rich! The bottom corners actually rip open so you can access all of it and let none go to waste. This mask was really unique because it was creamy, but also smelled like it had tea-tree oil, meaning it is good for acne and oils, but also super hydrating!

This month arrived with THREE bonus products too!

Ballon Blanc Lip & Eye Remover Pad - Listed Value $4.00

With all the swatches I do on a daily basis I am always happy to get more makeup remover wipes! These are perfect for removing those long-lasting matte lippies and waterproof mascara.

Skin & Lab Red Serum & Red Cream - Sample Sachet

I liked this little sample sachet enough to wish for full-size products to surprise me in later boxes. It contained a red serum and red cream, and they work together beautifully to leave my skin feeling like pure velvet. These formulas have loads of antioxidants too, which is great for any anti-aging routine.

Rated Green Cold Press Tamanu Oil Soothing Scalp Pack - Listed Value $4.00

I don't generally love scalp masks because they leave my hair feeling oily and it takes so much to cover my thick roots. This was no real exception, and I just don't think scalp masks are for me. It did have a strong black currant scent, which also was a little too fruity for me. I did appreciate that this pouch was re-sealable, which means you don't have to use it all at once.

Verdict: FaceTory was such a treat this month! All of the masks were great, and the only item I really wasn't crazy about was the scalp mask. There were two really fun decorative masks and I loved all of the rose and floral elements. I am also super tickled that this sub includes beauty/skin samples now. It makes it feel extra special and well rounded.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.
