info sheet

First, you'll see a greeting from Adam of Enchanted Crystal. I love these personal notes as they explain behind the scenes details.

Our specimen this month is Lepidolite Mica!

Let's unwrap!

Lepidolite Mica

FYI: This specimen is about 2 inches wide.

I just love the calming plum shade of this stone. Much like lavender (which has a similar coloring) this stone is known to promote rest and peace. Lepidolite also has lithium in it, which also plausibly explains why it is closely correlated with relaxation! The structure of this specimen is fascinating because it has an almost sheet-like arrangement where the larger surface areas are completely flat and smooth. Each piece has interesting organic patterns and inclusions, and most are at least semi-transparent when held against a bright light.

bag of bonus materials

Enchanted Crystal always sends bonus crystals or minerals in a small bag as well.

Good to Know: These are generally between 1 - 1.5 inches long.

Tangerine Matchstick Quartz

I feel like matchstick quartz remains quite common as a bonus mineral in this sub, and I totally don't mind. I find these little points so charming.

Madagascar Star Quartz

There is so much variety within quartz I feel like I must have so many different kinds already, but then I get another and another!

Marekanite

We received a few of these before and they are truly quite interesting. Nicknamed 'Apache Tears', they have a compelling and tragic lore.

Verdict: Enchanted Crystal continues to be one of my more exciting subscriptions because I truly never know what will come inside, but I always know it will be educational and likely shiny! The Lepidolite Mica this month was very pretty and I didn't have anything like it already in my substantial collection. I love the pretty color and the unique structure!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Those mica pieces are so gorgeous! The lore of the Apache Tears is sad indeed 🙁

Megan, nice review!

How do you store or display all your crystals? I’m running out of room and need advice.

Hey Beth! Well, I don’t have a great system in place sadly, but I have a bunch that live on my desk in one f those lucite organizing trays and I also have loads on my mantle at home. My office has tons of windows too, so the sills are lined with ones that catch the light nicely. I am at the point where I have so many that it is really fun to keep a few on hand to give to people randomly. That might make me a weirdo, but oh well.
