CatLadyBox is a monthly subscription box for cat ladies (or anyone who is crazy about cats)! The $34.99 per month CatLadyBox has 2-3 cat-themed items – wearables, items for the home, books, etc. The $39.99 per month Crazy CatLadyBox contains everything from the CatLadyBox plus a few items just for cats.

This is a review of the $39.99/month “Crazy” CatLadyBox.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

CatLadyBox November 2019 Review

CatLadyBox is always full of fun, cat-themed lifestyle items. Let’s see what was in store for November:

I love how the information cards have custom artwork every month. And the back has more information about the items in the box. This month’s theme relates to baking. The cat art on the front reminds me of Angus, not because of the coloration but because of the body type. Next month will be the annual holiday-themed box.

Cat Lady Box November 2019 Containers 1 Cat Lady Box November 2019 Containers 2

Mod Cats Melamine Bowl Set - Listed Value $24.99

These are dishwasher safe but not microwave safe. (All of this is specified on the bottom in raised text so no worries about forgetting.) They could be used to store cookies or leftovers (suggested by the box company) or even as kibble dishes that you could cover between feedings. I may use them to store craft supplies so they are out and seen instead of put away in a cupboard. The artwork on them matches some of the other artwork on various glassware CatLadyBox has sent in the past, which is nice.

Cat Lady Box November 2019 Potholders 1 Cat Lady Box November 2019 Potholders 2

Cat Potholders Set - Listed Value $16.99

These are large for potholders, but that can be handy, as I have burned myself in the past when using potholders that are too small. It's also the kind of thing I never think to buy but often need more of as they do wear out.

Cat Lady Box November 2019 Jar Opener

Cat Head Jar Gripper - Listed Value $6.99

Here is another thing where I vaguely had an idea I needed a new one, because my old ones (some repurposed rubber coasters) are getting brittle, but never think to buy. It's probably for the best that there was a card in the package with this, explaining what it was. But this will definitely get used. Also, Sneaky approves (see photo below).

Cat Lady Box November 2019 Pie Toy

Catnip Pie Cat Toy - Listed Value $5.99

This is the Crazy Cat Lady version of the box, so there are cat toys. This month, they were both crinkly catnip plushes, but they have different textures -- this pie had some fuzzier parts. It was also somewhat smaller and a little better for the cats to toss around.

Cat Lady Box November 2019 Baguette Toy

Furrrench Bread Catnip Kicker Toy - Listed Value $5.99

This is the other catnip toy for the month and it is quite large. But I will often catch Monkey playing with toys like this, usually in a room on the side of the house that gets sun in the morning (my cats track the sun around the house throughout the day), so I've put it in the home office for him to enjoy.

Here are some kitty pictures for you:

Cat Lady Box November 2019 Angus 1 Cat Lady Box November 2019 Angus 2

Angus's new thing is to show interest in toys, but only from under the table. It probably didn't help that Nyx (my Rottweiler, currently on extra prednisone) was right behind me the whole time.

Cat Lady Box November 2019 Sneaky 1 Cat Lady Box November 2019 Sneaky 2

Sneaky evaluates the jar opener.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $60.95 for the November 2019 (Crazy) CatLadyBox. The items this month were practical -- hot pads wear out, so it is nice to have more, but it's the kind of thing I often don't think to buy. Jar openers start to get brittle so a new one is handy. The melamine containers could be used for all sorts of things including human food, kibbles, or craft supplies. And so forth.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Officially your subscription would start with December’s box, but way back when I signed up, I was contacted to say there were a few of the current month’s box left over and asked if I’d like one of those. So it may be worth inquiring.

Ordered a one time, non renewing (according to the ordering website). My cc was charged Nov. 30th and again Dec. 3rd. This is not acceptable. I plan on disputing the charge with my cc company and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of the state I live in and the state that they supposedly do business out of. At present this looks like a scam company.

The pot holders are very thin and burned my hands as I was cooking last night. I love the tupperware a lot, and the grip holder has come in handy already! My cats love the toys. I’m still not convinced this box is worth the cost. I keep saying one more month just because it’s so fun to get.

Would you say that clothing from this box runs true to size? Or, large/small? I’m interested in purchasing some from their store, for gifts, and need to know!

Thanks!

The smallest size they offer is S, and it is a little big for me, but I should wear an XS in shirts, so in my experience it does run true to size. However, if you are considering one of the hoodies or zip-up sweatshirts, you may want to size up one size, if you plan to use them as outerwear.

Thank you, Ragan!

Aww, some serious FOMO (or is it just box envy?) here. I think I need to re-subscribe STAT.

I like the practical aspect of this box.

Angus has become such a chonk! It’s so funny to see since he was so bitty for a long time.

Ragan

He is obese due to his inflammatory bowel disease medication. We’re working with a veterinary nutritionist to change his medicine so he can hopefully lose a little weight. He has bad teeth and needs occasional dental procedures but anesthesia is dangerous for obese cats.

Right now though, he is confined to a bedroom and in a cone because he somehow managed to rip two toenails completely out earlier this week — there was lots of blood all over the house, topped off with a trip to the emergency vet. So anyway, no exercise for him right now, and only limited appearances in upcoming cat box reviews.

Never a dull moment around here. My dog is also sick this week.

You have such beautiful fur babies! I hope Angus and the pup get well soon. As well as can be with a chronic condition.
They make great models!
I want this box so bad but I’m trying to be good. Maybe they will have a black Friday deal!

Kc

Aw poor fur babies. Hope things settle down for you and the pets 🙂
