Bombay & Cedar "Peaceful" Review

The box comes with a booklet of information that lists out the products and highlights some of the brands. The theme this month is "Peaceful."

Tangerine Essential Oil, 10 ml - Listed Value $10.00

Clary Sage Essential Oil, 10 ml - Listed Value $14.00

What a pair! I love both of these oils alone or together. The sage is earthy and green, but somehow not sharp. It forms a nice base to a blend with lavender or citrus and is very "holiday" without being over the top. Tangerine is like a less loud orange, and leaves my space smelling so clean.

Lesser Evil Popcorn, 0.88 oz - Buy 25 bags $24.99

This is my favorite popcorn brand because you can taste the coconut oil! If I had my choice, I would be picking their sweet and salty flavor, but this butter inspired one was also over the top delicious.

Wanderlust & Co. Infusion Gold Toggle Necklace - Retail Value $59.00

I was not excited for this necklace at all, but it grew on me as I wore it around one day. It is actually really well made, and mine is a gold plate on top of stainless steel. The architectural vibes feel very modern and clean, and I love that it is adjustable due to the toggle construction and extra loop higher up on the chain. It looks very polished on top of a high neck blouse.

Almost Famous 2-in-1 Facial Brush - Listed Value $20.00

I don't really use brushes like this but I have a friend who absolutely loves them! I am excited to pass on this iridescent coral one to her. It has two different sides to exfoliate your skin: one is a brush and the other is a silicone surface with little bumps.

Terra Cotta Grow Kit by Modern Sprout - Retail Value $17.00

I have gotten one of these grow kits before, though it was white and came with mint seeds. This terra cotta one is also very pretty! I am more than a little skeptical about growing aloe from seeds, but that is likely because I usually propagate succulents with cuttings. I am excited to see if I can get these to germinate though! This kit internalizes the watering process with a fillable water bank inside and a wick that keeps your plant babies hydrated. It is genius for someone who travels frequently or is just forgetful when it comes to watering plants.

Terre Mere Dual Action Bamboo Acai Scrub, 1.7 oz - Retail Value $84.00

This stuff has such an interesting scent! It's sweet like fruit, but also weirdly green and earthy. I am into it! This is an exfoliating mask that you apply and rub into your skin. Wash off after 5 minutes and your skin is gently exfoliated and very clean. I loved that this was clay-free too, as often I have to regift masks because the clay just sucks all the moisture out of my skin. This was actually super hydrating as well as clarifying, mainly due to the high olive oil content and the jojoba oil beads!

Alleyoop Tip Off Liquid Filled Q-Tips, 24 count - Retail Value $8.00

I have been applying mascara for over 20 years and I still often get it all over my lids. I also have one eye that always ends up with mascara underneath it at the end of the day. I usually have to wipe off with a damp tissue on the go, though if I am still home I reach for a cotton swab. These are like the best of both techniques in that they are liquid-filled Q-tips that are totally sealed, making them perfect for on the go touchups. Simply bend the end with a blue line and the end fills up with makeup removing liquid. Magic!

Linen Apron - Listed Value $20-25.00

FYI: There were different patterns and fabrics and the selection was random.

Our last item might be my favorite, as I already have a similar linen apron I reach for pretty frequently. It is always good to have a backup, especially with the holidays coming, meaning loads of kitchen time. This apron is really adorable, and not at all flashy, which suits my preferences perfectly. I love stripes and the little wooden buttons are really very cute. I will use this a lot!

Verdict: I enjoyed this month's Bombay & Cedar! I feel like the selection of items all felt really nice and well-curated. I am really pleased that I ended up liking the necklace a lot more then I thought, especially since it was one of the pricier items. The other (the mask scrub) was also a win since I can actually use it and I find myself liking the formulation more and more. The oils were magical, and I am obsessed with my cute apron. The Q-tips were so functional and a lifesaver to stash in my purse. All in all, this month was a winner!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, but order by 12/12 to get the December box!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $49.95 + $6.95 shipping, which means that each of the 9 items in the box has an average cost of $6.32

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

If anyone wants to sell the toggle necklace, I’d love it.
