Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey of your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences. After choosing when you’d like to receive your delivery, your stylist handpicks 5 items based on your preferences. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)
My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different.
My Subscription Addiction paid for this Fix. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Stitch Fix Plus Size Styling Service September 2019 Review
This is the invoice that was included. It shows in detail the items selected for me and the brands, sizes, and cost of each piece. The total comes up to $169.71 after all the discounts if I opt to keep everything—which is an $83.24 total savings! That is almost like getting the Jill Michael earrings and Addition Elle dress for free!
As always, I received this handy sheet with a note from this month’s stylist, Nicole! What a beautiful name, am I right? She includes some helpful styling tips for a few of the pieces and reasons for why she selected them for me. I appreciate Nicole referencing the feedback I provided from the last Fix!
Ginni Knit Maxi Dress by Kaleigh, Size 2x — Retail Value $68
Summer is coming to a close, but why not get some wear from this dress while the weather is fair? Our fall so far has been sweltering, maybe more so than some of the actual days during the summer even. This fuchsia floral dress has ample stretch and the maxi length allows extra coverage and comfort. The top is slightly too revealing for me to sport at the office, but this would be a great weekend dress. I am not terribly fond of the color of this dress, but I do appreciate the cut and style. I paired this dress with rose gold open-toed platform sandals for a last of summer hooray! Wear this number with flats and a mustard yellow cardigan during the transitional weather from summer to fall.
Mackenna Split Back Top by Alexander Jordan, Size 2x — Retail Value $38
Okay, it is a known fact I am a sucker for animal prints. Generally, with leopards, I stay with the more traditional tan variety. However, I absolutely love this blue leopard print top. I truly regret sending it back to Stitch Fix, especially seeing how great it paired with the Eloquii skirt Nicole also included for me. I am not terribly fond of the back slit, but the fit was comfortable! The material is soft, but with limited stretch. I styled this with the Dorothie skirt, but this would look equally amazing styled with black jeggings, flats, a faux leather biker jacket, and black cat eyes. Imagine this paired with tailored black pants and a blazer-- wow!
Dorothie Faux Leather Textured Skirt by Eloquii x R29, Size 22w — Retail Value $69.95
Guys, I was a goner upon laying eyes on this skirt! It was as though Donna and Tom from Parks and Rec were beside me melodically chanting TREAT YO SELF! I usually don't find patent-leather-like materials appealing, but this piece just grabbed a hold of me and refused to let go! I had put in my feedback on my last Fix that I was in need of a black faux leather skirt and Nicole more than delivered. This skirt is actually a part of the collaboration between Eloquii and Refinery29. This skirt and a silver jumpsuit were the true showstoppers of the collection. Sure, I was hoping for a more body-hugging style skirt, but this piece is just too unique to pass up. It doesn't have ample stretch, but the fit and cut of this skirt more than make up for it. I recently wore this fierce skirt to a bloggers' event and genuinely forgot how hot one gets in faux leather; but this piece will be a staple for me in cooler weather months! Just not ideal in near ninety-degree temperatures-- you live and you learn!
Bryanne Mock Neck Knit Dress by Addition Elle, Size 2x — Retail Value $49
This dress is all the things I look for in a staple piece in my wardrobe: versatile, comfortable, and reasonably priced. This classic mock neck dress has a maxi cut that gives it an elegant vibe. This dress can easily be worn in autumn up through the spring months. In addition, this is such a get up and go item-- I could toss it on and go to work looking like a million bucks! The slightly ribbed texture and stretchy, soft, fabric allow this dress to hug my curves like a dream! I styled this piece simply with open-toe mules and a necklace. This would look phenomenal paired with a faux leather jacket with a Sherpa collar and sleeves, booties, and a large-brimmed hat on crisper, cooler, fall days. This dress actually got my mom's approval, but I purchased the Eloquii x Refinery29 skirt instead to her chagrin.
Jill Beaded Hoop Earrings by Jill Michael — Retail Value $28
Finally, we have these delicate, yet immensely colorful beaded hoops by Jill Michael. The pro for these would be how easy they are to wear due to being so lightweight. That being said, I just felt these earrings were far too demure for my personal liking. It is not to say I dislike them, but I just don't feel they are necessarily me. These would look great in the summer paired with your favorite sundress and gold beaded sandals for extra flair! Wear them in the fall with a toasty, marigold sweater and jeans while sipping on a hot cocoa!
The Verdict: This month's Stitch Fix was an overall win! My favorite items in order were the Eloquii skirt, Alexander Jordan blouse, and the Addition Elle dress. I could take or leave the Ginni knit dress and Jill Michael earrings only because they didn't stand out as pieces for me. The others felt incredibly tailored to me. I appreciate my stylist taking the time out to read my feedback! Due to her attention to detail I have a new skirt I love! I can't suggest enough to provide detailed feedback each month after returning your Fix as well as providing your Pinterest link to your stylist. It may sound redundant, but it really helps giving your stylist visuals on what pieces appeal to you. I did all of the above and completed a few rounds of the Style Shuffle on the Stitch Fix site as well. I am legitimately eager to see what Nicole sends me next month!
