I did order this box for the eyelashes and skincare. I can never have enough small tubes of lotion. I didn’t pay for shipping, but it was shipped 2 day shipping and arrived via UPS yesterday. I’m not normally a fan of foil packets, but, the temporary hair color packets are just the right size to try before you buy. FYI, one is for dark hair and one for light hair. This will be fun to do with my daughter. It’s not their best box but at least everything in this box will get used.

Target beauty boxes are always shipped free.

Yes, I know that. But, I have never had one show up 2 day shipping via ups. It’s always been a week at the least and delivered by usps.

I tweeted Target today and asked them about their lack of beauty/makeup in the beauty boxes. And they said “Thanks for your interest in our beauty boxes, they’re the best! However at this time they do not include makeup samples. We will document your interest in the return of our makeup samples in our beauty boxes and share your feedback with our leadership teams.” Highly disappointed, because it seems like makeup will not be coming back anytime soon!

Maybe Target’s marketing angle is “beauty” is clean hair, fresh skin, etc.? It’s also possible that a higher percentage of people will be able to use the items in the box if those items are not specific to a particular skin tone/hair color/etc.

I remember setting my clock to make sure I got my Target Beauty Box. I’d buy two (one for me and my mom) and text my interested friends. Now I don’t even remember when they go on sale. Target, those boxes were called Beauty Boxes for a reason!!!! Makeup and skincare or nail polish or even hair ties! I remember Pixi, Pacifica, Laneige along with Elf, Cover Girl and Maybelline. You really should consider calling these Target Health & Hygiene Boxes instead.

Same here! I wasn’t sure if they were going to come out with one this month or not considering they have the past few months still available and at full price. The reason I decided to purchase this one is because of the eyelashes for my teenager and the skincare for myself. I put together a beauty bag for her at Christmas instead of a stocking. Usually, by now, I’m on product overload from 2 monthly subs and target and will only need to purchase a bag and a couple of brushes. This box works for me but they should be giving the other ones away for free at this point.

They were literally handing out the Target L’oreal box for free at my local Target. Don’t pay for these boxes.

I’ve gotta say, this box really does feel like it’s curated “specifically for me” (but maybe I’m part old person and part 12 year old?). I’m 27, looking for ways to mix things up with my bleached, prone-to-dandruff hair, get dry skin in winter, always look out for new serums and whitening toothpastes, and love playing with false lashes for holiday events. So I’m grateful to that hypothetical teenager, haha!

I’m ashamed that I’m buying this just because I’m almost out of toothpaste…not a thrilling box, but I’m down for “buy two pairs of falsies, get a travel size toothpaste free” haha.

Target ha so many new beauty brands it’s carrying- I’d love to see a box include items from them. Even if it was at a higher price point.

Linda

That’s one of the reasons I quit Boxycharm was they kept giving me lashes. I haven’t bought a target box in a while. I got the last good male one. It was worth it.

Mika

Come on target…. how many travel size toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner bottles can one have. Where is the beauty in these boxes????? Target has sooo many new products, why can’t we ever try at least one of them.

I seriously miss the old boxes when they were actually putting things in that everyone wanted and you had to rush to snag one up. I’m a little happy though because I am so broke, barely hanging on to my FabFitFun VIP subscription but I love that one too much.

Lashes make it an instant no buy for me, but i have to note the slight improvement over the last 2 seasons of boxes. Actually, the men’s box is not half bad, but I’m so out of the habit of buying these boxes that I had to talk myself into the effort of even opening up the app for it.

I believe those are the Ardell 811 lashes. Way too crazy for my 19 yr old….

❌🚫TARGET🚫❌❓❓❓ I used to get so excited when I actually got to score one of your boxes before they were “SOLD OUT”. Now I pass on almost every one. SIGH!🤦🏼‍♀️ Please put items in them that we can try out and possibly want to purchase the full-size versions. Isn’t that the entire concept?🤷🏼‍♀️

To me it feels as tho you have a teenager deciding on what to put in these, thinking to herself:
“oh, these lashes are awesome and my mom would like them too! Oh my grandma used to use Head & Shoulders back in the olden days. Wow…what should I put in here for really old people..ummm, wow, how about toothpaste and Vaseline stuff, yeah! Old people love Vaseline stuff & toothpaste. Now what about for 12 year olds? I know, I’ll put some cheap kind of hair stuff in their so they can have fun too. I need to make sure I put a little something in this box for the whole family and our grandparents too!”

Yeah, NO! This should be a box directed at just one person only! You can actually make a box up that can be for only one person regardless of their age. How about putting in some new up & coming products? Even ones that are on the more pricey side would be awesome to try. Some people, like myself, are more apt to buy a $58 bottle of face moisturizer if we first get to sample it to see if we like it. That is called marketing skills AND companies love it and will usually give you the samples to put in your boxes.

Keep your boxes new & fresh! People get tired of seeing the same old stuff every time. You should have recognized this last year when your boxes stopped selling out!

It’s fine to put shampoo & conditioner, just not the same brand over & over. People now adays appeal to variety. It’s just like with eating food…I love tacos, but I don’t want to eat them every single day!

Ok I’m done with my rant, but I do think that I am speaking for the majority of people who’ve been passing on your Target Boxes lately. Tweet the boxes a bit, out a little more thought into them, and they will be selling like the hot cakes they once were!

I remember their toilet paper roll box with *great* affection.

Linda

Lol, Your right! This box is a mess!
A lot of old people have dentures and can’t use toothpaste! Maybe next month will have some denture fizzy pills!
I don’t mind the toothpaste since it always gets used, for me it’s everything else in this box I don’t like.

Wondering too if companies aren’t offering up their better products to put in these… or having more expensive items in them didn’t bring in a profit for Target.

Well said! Lmfao!

Target has a brand called Profusion, which for the most part gets great reviews. Why don’t they ever include any Profusion products in beauty boxes? In fact, why don’t they do a whole Profusion box?

Reply ButtonReply

JoAnne

I’m not in to false lashes, would have rather had a mascara and maybe a blush instead of toothpaste and foil shampoo, so I will pass again…

Reply ButtonReply

Dawn

Foil hair make-up in hot pink and raspberry, not shampoo. And bargain basement false lashes. Saves me another $7. The No. 7 and Lumene are both great products. But they are too tiny to bother.

Reply ButtonReply

Dawna

I’m going to go ahead and get this one. Christmas is coming up and I still need stuff for my teenager’s stocking/makeup bag. I can see her buying this box just for the eyelashes.

Reply ButtonReply

Katie

You would think Target would realize something is up, in not a good way, with their curation when they have the past 4 months boxes still available for sale online when they used to sell out the first day in a few hours. Like many others have said, it is disappointing, but my wallet thanks Target for saving my money.

Reply ButtonReply

Trixie

I have to agree wholeheartedly with you! I used to always see “SOLD OUT”, and now, nope, they are piling up. But yes, thanks for saving out money lol.

Reply ButtonReply

Lydea

I actually picked up 2 of the women’s box (first time in a long while). My teen daughter is newly into faux lashes so this is worth it for me – that makes up the cost of the box. My mom uses No7 and I have wanted to try Lumene so it made sense but otherwise nope.

Lately these have been an easy pass – especially disappointing for the men’s version. Target has so many cool products these days for men, but this is just sad.

Having false eyelashes automatically makes this a no. That hair color might be useful for Halloween. How many different Head & Shoulders shampoos are there? It seems like there is a different variation in this box every month.

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

It’s the same old tune… toothpaste and shampoo. I’m not interested, but for anyone wanting the lashes (RV $7.50) and the No7 serum (RV $8.40), it wouldn’t be such a bad box.

Sigh..
I mean no, I dont expect allot for my $7 but these boxes have become sooo mundane & boring these past few months. I used to look forwardto yjem & would purchase several a month. Now I don’t even want ONE of them. And I wish they would come out with more of the pet boxes. Our little Gizmo loved his puppy treat box

This is the first time in months that I am seeing a Target box that’s not totally horrible, and has a somewhat better value for a change, but I still won’t be buying because there is nothing interesting in it to me.

Jen

My thoughts exactly!!

Dear Target: Hire the old curating team back!

Reply ButtonReply

Theresa

Nope……….not liking these boxes

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie

This is better than the last previous boxes. I like the travel size head and shoulders. I have a trip coming up so this helps with some of the packing.

Reply ButtonReply

Jean

These boxes aren’t really up my alley, but I think they are an improvement from previous months. For example, with the women’s box you get to try 7 products (I’m lumping the shampoo/conditioner into one) for $7, so you’re paying ~$1 each to try all of these with free shipping.
