Now, on to the items!
Dr. Botanicals Lemon Superfood Butter, 50 ml - Retail Value $14.90 (currently on sale for $7.45), Listed Value $24.50
This is a heavy cream with a citrus and lemongrass scent. It feels really great on the skin and absorbs really nicely, with no residue! This is the sort of moisture bomb I like to use on my legs and elbows during those tough cold months where literally everything feels chapped. For now, it feels amazing on my dry hands and knees!
Delia Organics Lip Nectar, 0.33 fl oz - Retail Value $19.99
I swear I have received at least 5 of these now. It is a fine product but I am just giving them away at this point and it has started to feel a little bit like filler. It does a nice job of adding moisture to lips, but I also found it is great for cuticles too. I do love the citrus and lavender scent as well.
Nui Body Pina Colada Lip Polish, 5 g – Estimated Value $3.00 (Buy 15 g for $10.00), Listed Value $8.00
I use lip scrubs pretty often since I wear loads of different (and often drying) lip products. This one worked beautifully and I loved the sweet taste! It was just like a pina colada! Come back to me, summer!
Eco Lips Bee Free Lip Balm, 4.35 g – Retail Value $3.49
This was a really nice all-around lip balm. It felt great on my lips and had a fun lemon-lime flavor. Instead of beeswax and lanolin, the ingredients here are animal-friendly cocoa butter and coconut oil. I had this in my purse until Will "borrowed" it, and I haven't seen it again, which is a pretty good recommendation from him for sure!
Ettitude Hair Scrunchie Set - Retail Value $15.00, Listed Value $20.00
There was some discussion back in the spoiler post about these being called "vegan silk" but after touching them I totally get it. They feel just like silk! I actually really love everything about these scrunchies from the color to the fabric, but if I could change one little thing it would be to make the elastic inside a little bigger. These feel really tight on my pretty average wrists. This will likely loosen with time, so it isn't that big of a deal. I really love how cute the larger one is in my hair and that it doesn't leave any creases!
VIP Box Item: Jing Ai Vienna Charm Cheek Rouge in 'Goddess', 9 g - Retail Value $16.00
I actually really like this brand, but once again, the color sent with this box just won't work for me. Such a bummer! The powders are really nice and I love that they are dual shades within the same pot. The packaging is also quite lovely, and even included a heart-shaped seed paper that can be planted. So cute! I will be passing this along to a friend with a warmer complexion.
These go on much lighter with a brush, but they are still just not my type of shades.
VIP Box Item: Jing Ai Kabuki Brush - Retail Value $15.00
This bamboo-handled kabuki brush is really well made and has a great weight to it. The bristles are soft and fluffy, and it grabs powders really well. I like to use brushes like this for a final dusting of powder on my face and even my neck and shoulders.
VIP Box Item: Jing Ai Vegan Lip and Cheek Glo in 'Pink Chiffon', 0.15 oz - Retail Value $10.00
I loved this pretty pink formula on my lips. It is a pillow pink and it wears sheer enough to be just a natural flush of color. I don't love cream blushes so I plan on using this exclusively on my lips for some color and moisture. Again, the gold-accented packaging was very pretty!
Sheer, easy to wear, and pink. Perfect!
Also included was a pair of oil samples from Eco Lips. There was a pillow sample of both their Marula and Kakadu Plum Oils.
Verdict: Love Goodly has a value of around $97.38 this month, which is decent for a $48.95 box. There were some value inflations on the cards which I never really love, but sometimes this does happen for various reasons. There were some hits and some misses, but overall there was some good variety in here. My favorites would easily be those scrunchies, the Jing Ai lip and cheek stick, the kabuki brush, and the lip scrub. I do think there could have been a WOW item somewhere in here that would have made it feel more of an outstanding box.
