This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
FYI: GlossyBox sends out multiple variations of the box during some months. So, there may be some variation between what I review and what you receive.

GlossyBox October 2019 Review

Also included were two promo cards for Naked Wines. Curious about this wine club? I have all the deets for you!
John Masters Geranium & Grapefruit Body Wash, 2 fl oz - Estimated Value $6.00 (Buy a full-size 8 fl oz for $24.00)
This stuff smells so good! A mix of citrus and herbal geranium, it is bright and complex. It also has the benefit of being a totally unisex sort of fragrance, so anyone can use and appreciate it. The number one ingredient on the list is aloe, so you can imagine how moisturizing it is. I still felt thoroughly clean after rinsing it off and appreciated how soft it left my skin.
John Masters Geranium & Grapefruit Body Milk, 2 fl oz - Estimated Value $6.00 (Buy a full-size 8 fl oz for $24.00)
This coordinating body milk is perfect for layering on after you finish your shower with the body wash. Although it is specifically called "milk" it is thicker and creamy, like most body lotions. It was also quick-absorbing and left my skin feeling moisturized and soft.
Bellapierre Pro Concealer Palette, 15 g - Full Size! Retail Value $27.82 (€25.00)
I never seem to have much luck with this brand, which seems to be a subscription box darling. I was pleasantly surprised that this palette was actually light enough for me to utilize, though this doesn't bode well for many people who don't consistently buy the palest shade of foundation on the shelf. I also suffer from redness, so I have found that green-tinted concealers really help me out. While the shades worked well for me, I did find this formula a little cakey on my face, but I do have larger pores and extra texture that I am working to smooth out with my skincare routine.
This is a great palette for fairer skin.
Illamasqua Mini Hydra Veil, 7 ml - Retail Value $9.00
I have tried this gel before, and even though I prefer a balm or cream, it is still a nice product and the packaging is downright sexy! It only takes the smallest amount to coat your face and the hydration benefits are immediate. It did a really great job of evening out my skin texture and making my foundation last a bit longer throughout the day.
SKIN&CO Roma Truffle Therapy Polishing Micro-Exfoliating Truffle Face Gommage, 30 ml - Estimated Value $5.60 (Buy a full-size 150 ml for $28.00)
Honestly, this reminds me of a much gentler and fancier version of cult favorite St. Ives Apricot Scrub. Love that OG skin scrub or hate it, gentle exfoliation is always a good thing for your skin. A gommage is a much gentler version of most physical scrubs that binds to impurities on your skin and buffs them away. I usually associate them with that "pilling" action that many have. I used this on dry, clean skin, applying a nice amount and letting it dry for a few minutes (though the instructions did not specify to do this. I just know traditionally you do with gommages). I then massaged it in circles for about 2 minutes. I didn't notice any pilling, and honestly, it felt just like any normal exfoliating cream that I had to wash away. It did leave my skin super soft though, so how can I complain?
-417 Time Control Firming Radiant Mud Mask, 20 ml - Estimated Value $7.80 (Buy a full-size 100 ml for $39.00)
This is an exfoliating and purifying mud mask made with Dead Sea mud. I don't use clay products like this because they dry my already parched skin out really badly. I will gift this to my husband who likes drying clay masks for his nose.
Verdict: GlossyBox has a value of around $62.22 which is good for a $21 box, although it felt lower than is the norm for this box. The assortment was pretty good, and I especially liked the John Masters products. The palette is totally useable for me, though the hunt for the perfect concealer still continues for me. The gommage and mask were both from brands I have never tried, so even if I wasn't super into the products themselves it was still nice to find new brands to try.
