CatLadyBox October 2019 Review
CatLadyBox is always full of fun, cat-themed lifestyle items. Let’s see what was in store for October:
I love how the information cards have custom artwork every month. And the back has more information about the items in the box. This month’s theme relates to black cats. I have this one on my refrigerator because we always joke how Madison (my black cat) looks like he doesn't have a face in pictures.
Happy Black Cat Long-Sleeve Shirt - Listed Value $24.99
It has been too hot for long sleeves here lately but in another month or so this will be perfect for weekend errands. It is soft and comfortable and of course I love black cats. And the gray will go with whatever yoga pants I feel like throwing on that day!
Ceramic Black Cat-o-Lantern - Listed Value $16.99
I like how this is a multi-purpose item. You could put candies or decorative objects in here because the holes aren't big enough for anything to slide out. Or you could put a candle in here. I tried this with an LED tea light and the reason you don't see a picture of that is the LED tea light I found was super weak and didn't really show up. You'd need a real candle with a stronger flame (there's even room for two if you like).
Lacy Black Cat Ears - Listed Value $6.99
This is about my level of dressing up for Halloween. Although I have several cat ear headbands, I don't have any quite like this. Once I get my hair dyed next weekend (so the roots don't show) this will match my hair color, too.
"Boo Kitty" Catnip Toy - Listed Value $5.99
This is adorable. It is a catnip plush and as you can see, it comes attached to its own ghost costume. (Or you can remove the ghost costume easily if you don't want that there.) Monkey really wanted to rub his face on this and Sneaky started rolling around on it (after I took the camera away, of course!).
Shelly the Skelekitty Glow in the Dark Catnip Toy - Listed Value $5.99
This is another catnip plush but it has a canvaslike texture (my cats are very into toys with different textures). I think the room where I was taking cat pictures was too light for the "glow in the dark" part to be noticeable. But Angus will definitely have fun with this at night so I've put it in the home office for him to enjoy.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $60.95 for the October 2019 (Crazy) CatLadyBox. We always love black cat month. Did you know my black cat, Madison, is now the cat I've had longest (I got him when he weighed 2 pounds back in summer of 2017)? Anyway, the shirt will be useful later on, and the ears and "cat-o-lantern" are cute as well as seasonally-appropriate and the toys are particularly clever this month, so we were happy.

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Officially your subscription would start with November’s box, but way back when I signed up, I was contacted to say there were a few of the current month’s box left over and asked if I’d like one of those. So it may be worth inquiring.
