bombay and cedar spoiler

We have a spoiler for the October 2019 Bombay & Cedar box! (Thanks for the heads up, Amanda!)

The theme for October is:

Peaceful!

“Your life becomes a masterpiece when you learn to master peace.”

When at peace, your mind is quiet of overthinking and you begin to experience that sense of happiness and freedom you’ve been craving all day. With loads of paperwork and constant chores, it’s rare to get a calm moment for yourself. We've curated this month’s box to help you benefit from enjoying peace of mind once you get there!

Each box will include:

Each Premium & Mini box will include a sleek Necklace or Bracelet by Wanderlust + Co.

Choose between Infusion Toggle Necklace ($59) in 18K Gold Plated or Silver Rhodium Plated  or Infusion Toggle Bracelet ($49) in 18K Gold Plated or Silver Rhodium Plated

AND:

Terre Mere Dual Action Bamboo Acai Scrub - $84

OR

Terre Mere Oat & Rosehip Hydration Bomb Masque - $88

AND:

TERRACOTTA GROW KITS ($17)

The cutting edge of houseplant cultivation. This terracotta kit has a glazed interior and is outfitted with a passive hydroponic system known as “wicking,” which brings water and nutrients up to the plant's roots. So whether you forget to water, overwater, or both, this planter's got you covered. Comes equipped with everything you’ll need to start growing, just add water and set in a sunny window.

Perfect for budding plant parents - a must have for city dwellers looking to grow their indoor desert oasis. Non-GMO Seeds. 5.31"h x 3.5"d. Designed to be reused.

A BOOK THAT TAKES ITS TIME - An Unhurried Adventure in Creative Mindfulness ($27.50)

This gorgeous book was penned by the co-founders and creative directors of Flow, Irene Smit and Astrid Van der Hulst. At its heart this book is about doing, about experience, and about intention. Filled with in-bound postcards, mini-journals, stickers, decorative papers for collaging and many more surprises to encourage slowing down and appreciating the little things. 340 pages. 9" x 8" x 1.2".

THE BIG BOOK OF LESS - Finding Joy in Living Lighter ($27.50)

Another beautiful interactive book with hidden treasures! The Big Book of Less is a thoughtful and surprising book that shows how to get there, by paring down not just the jumble of things around us, but the clutter in our heads, too. Which then makes room for more—more listening, more focus, more wisdom, more time. More life. 270 pages. 9" x 8" x 1.2".

MINI BUDDHA BOARD (BLACK) ($15)

The Mini Buddha Board is an elegantly packaged, 5-inch square portable Buddha Board that folds into its own small easel stand. It has a little trough for water if desired, and comes with a small paint brush.

Each PREMIUM box will including a peaceful activity by Modern Sprout, Flow Magazine or Buddha Board!

Does anyone have October? Because I want things from it, like the gold necklace.

Does anyone know if the mystery box would ship separately? Or maybe a couple of the random items in my box were actually the mystery? I got the bracelet, face scrub, and one of the books, which were part of the spoilers, so I know they’re part of the October box. I also got two essential oils (tangerine and clary sage), a face scrubber tool, eye makeup remover sticks, a cotton kitchen towel, and some popcorn. I think that was it? It didn’t have any insert listing what items were supposed to be there, so unsure whether any of those were technically “mystery” or not. If those were all in the regular box, then I’ll email them to check on the “mystery.” (I ordered on 10/7, so think I made the deadline.)

Finally got shipment notice today. It’s predicted to arrive Nov. 5. So much for it being an October box! Hoping the Mystery Bag arrives with it.

Do not even have shipping notice or label created for my October box.

That’s great Jill! I hope you love your box. I made the decision to cancel my order; I just received confirmation of a refund. My request was partly out of frustration with lack of communication, but mainly because the delay gave me the chance to look over the items again and I realized I was no longer excited about receiving them. It just goes to show that I need to think harder before hitting that order button in the future and be less of an impulse buyer. The main thing I was excited about was the book, which of course I can purchase that on Amazon. To Bombay’s credit, they were very quick and accommodating with my request.

What’s weird is that yesterday, I got an email confirming my 3-month subscription, listing that date as the start date. When I’d actually signed up 3 weeks ago. I was worried they’d charged my card twice, but it listed $0.00 for everything in the email. Maybe that means it will ship soon? I sort of regret doing the 3-month, but I figured it was OK because the sub had been around for a while. I agree that they should tell subscribers something about the delay…

Lack of communication is frustrating! I did get the same shipping notice with $0 due. Mine should arrive next Wednesday.

Jill

Has anyone gotten shipping notice for this? This is my first month, and I’ve heard they tend to ship late, but there are only a few days left in October!

This is my first box too and even if I love it, it will likely be my last. I emailed them two weeks ago and they said it would ship out the following week which it obviously didn’t. That and the fact that they haven’t even sent out an email to subscribers to let us know the status of things is leaving a fairly unsavory taste in my mouth. I only know about the Facebook posting because someone on this site mentioned it. I understand that things happen, but companies need to make sure customers are informed when they do.

Haven’t gotten shipping notice yet, either. This box is way later than usual.

I want that gold necklace bad. I’ve emailed to see if I can still get octobers box if I sign up today… Waiting to hear back.

Cindy

I’m sorry, that necklace looks like it belongs in a ’50 Shades of Gray” movie.

Reply ButtonReply

Leslie

Agree the silver does look a little “Fifty Shades of Grey” so I chose the gold necklace.

Lisa

For the first time I actually think I want this box! I’m going to check it out now.

Jill

OK, this most recent spoiler sold me, plus the free mystery box. I did 3 months and picked the silver necklace, acai scrub, and “A Book that Takes Its Time.” (Note that “The Big Book of Less” is sold out. Everything else still appears to be available.)

Oh no! That book is the option I wanted most. Well, at all really because I won’t use any of the other options. I don’t journal or paint and I can’t have houseplants because I have cats. What a shame. Like you, this latest spoiler had me ready to pull the trigger. I was going to get the bracelet in silver. Oh well, I guess it wasn’t meant to be. 😔

Hope you enjoy yours though, Jill!

Cats prevent you from having houseplants? I’ve never not had both. I guess they’re notorious for knocking things over but despite the stereotype, none of my cats have ever touched my plants.

Linnea

May I ask how much you got charged for the three months? I am looking at doing the same as you

Nana

I only want a plant. That’s about it

chantel

They are $17, FYI. Just google them. Modsprout

If you sign up for 3 month sub do you have to pay all upfront? Thanks!

Sammee

Yes. You pay a pre-paid total of $146.85. It will renew every three months unless you cancel.
