Wantable is a styling service that sends clothing and accessories that fit your style. Wantable offers three different styling services: Style Edit, Fitness Edit, and Men’s Fitness Edit.

This review is of the Wantable Style Edit, $20 a month, box.

This box was sent to us at no cost to review (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

When you sign up, you fill out an extensive style profile. They ask what kind of items you would like to receive along with size, color, style, and price point preferences. Each category is ranked with a like, dislike, or love. There is also a space to leave notes for your stylist. By the end, your stylist should have a very good idea of what you like and don’t like.

Each edit includes 7 clothing and accessories items picked for you by your stylist using your style profile. You have 5 days to try everything on and to send what you don’t want to purchase back in the included prepaid envelope. My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Wantable Style Edit may be completely different!

Wantable Style Edit August 2019 Review

My stylist was able to include one of my requested Stream items plus a few other things she thought might work for me. Let's see what she sent!

Each edit comes with this information packet that includes an invoice and a prepaid return label and bag so you can send any unwanted items back.

The info booklet includes a note from your stylist and the invoice. This month, Josee sent me 7 clothing items.

And here’s my invoice. If I were to keep the entire box, the $482.97 total would be discounted $116.59 (20% off + $20 styling fee deducted) for a total of $372.20. With this discount, each item would cost an average of $53.17.

Cross-Back Cozy Long Sleeve Top in Heather Grey, Project Social T, M - Retail Value $68 (Return)

This soft and slightly fuzzy sweater is comfortable and perfect for lounging. The open back shows off strappy bras and tanks and the neckline is wide but the straps keep it in place. There are a couple of things preventing me from keeping this sweater – it's still so hot out, I'm not in need of loungy clothes, and it's a bit plain for the price point.

Utility Skinny in Pickle Back, Blank NYC, 29 - Retail Value $88 (Return)

These are great pants! They feel like denim and are a perfect matte olive shade. They are 99% cotton with 1% spandex, so they have a tiny bit of stretch to make them comfortable. I think they are super cute but the cargo pockets just aren't my favorite since they visually widen my hips and thighs.

Moto Jacket in Emerald, Blank NYC, M - Retail Value $98 (Return)

This jacket is gorgeous! It's constructed with a rich, emerald, PU faux leather and fully lined with a matching liner. The silver-tone details like snaps and zippers at the collar and cuffs give a polished moto feel while creating flattering visual lines. This jacket is hot though. I can't see myself comfortable wearing it until it gets really cold which won't be for a while.

Rumple Lace Back Cami in Rich Black, Vince Camuto, M - Retail Value $69 (Return)

Everyone needs a nice black tank to layer as the seasons change. This version from Vince Camuto is light and flowy with a crinkle texture on the outer shell and a smooth, stretchy lining. The back laces up with a round, cord-like lace that looks polished. I really like this type of tank to layer under sweaters and blazers. So much so, that I have one just like it already.

Total Control Skinny in London, Curve Appeal, 8 - Retail Value $58 (Return)

This is one of my requests from the Stream. I don't really need any jeans right now but I loved how the picture made it look like they were ankle length and tight. This particular cut is a bit large on me in my normal size and they are longer than I thought. I think sizing down could help. It's not every day I find a high-waisted, butt-flattering jean in thick, soft denim at such a good price point. So, I'll be requesting these again in a smaller size in a later edit.

Angelica Maxi Dress in Pink Berry, Beach Lunch Lounge, M - Retail Value $32.97 (Return)

This dress feels totally off the mark for me; I'm not a tiered skirt kinda girl at all. I always like trying new styles in my edits though since the risk is minimal. One thing I do like is the cool, linen fabric. The adjustable straps are a nice feature too. The overall shape works better when belted but the dress is still sheer and too billowy.

Ali Tank in Dusty Peach, Gentle Fawn, M - Retail Value $69 (Return)

I received a second tank similar to the first but in a light peach shade. I love the flirty peplum cut and dainty trim details. The straps are adjustable and the tank is fully lined with an opaque layer. Like the other tank, this is a perfect layering piece for transitional weather if you have coordinating pieces in your wardrobe. I couldn't find many things to wear it with, so it's going back.

The Verdict: My stylist did a good job of selecting items for my Wantable Style Edit this month! Actually, she did such a good job that many of the items were similar to things I already have. The only real style miss is the dress, but everything else fit my profile. A couple of my favorite items are just too heavy for this time of year in North Carolina and I convinced myself to let them go and wait until I actually need warmth. I returned all of the items in my edit this month, so I had to pay the styling fee ($20). A pre-labeled shipping bag was included in my box so the return was free and easy. I like being able to try on items at home (and with my existing wardrobe) with very little risk.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Wantable curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This styling fee for this box is $20.00 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $482.97. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, and if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 20% discount. As long as I keep at least 1 item, my $20 styling fee is applied to my purchase.
