Vine Oh! “Oh! For Me!” Fall 2019 Review

There is a card for each item, as well as an overview card with total box value enclosed in the Oh! envelope.

Now onto the items. Let's start with some wine!

The wines included in the box are custom made for Vine Oh! and if you like a bottle and want more, you can usually find them for purchase on the Vine Oh! wine shop. You have the option of either two sweets, two whites, two reds, or a mix. I selected the “mix” and received a Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.

2017 Speechless California Chardonnay – Retail Value $26.00

Sometimes life leaves you speechless - in the best way. Whether it was a look, a kind gesture or maybe just the right words that spoke right to your heart, the effect can be profound. That's what inspired this wine...so delicious, unexpected, it left us speechless.

I am not generally a Chardonnay fan, but the fruit notes in this bottle won me over. I felt like it was a little sweeter than I expected, which I didn't mind at all. The notes ranged from creamy, to citrus, and I thought it was better cold. The only thing I didn't love was the acidic bite on the finish, but I was willing to overlook this. I feel like this would be an excellent white sangria wine, especially if you added in some tropical fruit like pineapple!

2017 Tines Cabernet Sauvignon – Estimated Value $24.00 (based on the 2016 value)

Tines Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich and smooth red wine with dark fruit flavors complemented with the aroma of toasted oak. Pairs well with porterhouse steak or braised short ribs.

I used to hate red wine but a few months ago a bottle of Cab won me over and it has been love ever since. This wine was delicious and super smooth! It had all the fresh berry fruitiness that I expect from a cab, but it was also robust enough to complement the steak dinner I served with it.

Now, onto the lifestyle items!

Sole Du Soleil Marigold Double Circle Necklace – Retail Value $49.00

I love delicate little necklaces like this because they go with anything and you can layer them with others for a custom look. This piece is already layered, giving you a head start! The necklace is comprised of two 18 k rose gold plated discs suspended on top of each other, one with a sprinkling of pave CZ stones and the other plain and shining. The rose gold plating is really very pretty, and this is the sort of necklace you can wear day or night.

Delicate and shiny!

Spongelle French Lavender Body Buff – Retail Value $16.00

I have tried a few of these sponges and I really like them, especially for vacations! Since the body wash component is built into the exfoliating sponge, I don't have to fret over leakage! The French lavender scent is also a win for me, smelling like lavender (of course) but also woods and spices.

Voesh Collagen Socks Mask – Listed Value $5.00

We are nearing the end of sandal season and it is a great time to give your feet a little extra love. I usually enjoy moisturizing "bootie" treatments like this because they are easy to pop on while bingeing on Netflix and then rinse off in the shower right after wearing. These are extra nice because you don't have to rinse after using and you can even pull off the toe section of the booties, letting you mask and pedi at the same time! Although these didn't really improve the driest parts of my heels, the rest of my feet were much softer after wearing.

Sebastian Dark Oil Candle, 4 oz – Listed Value $12.00

So this is interesting: People loved the scent of Sebastian Dark Oil so much that they created a candle, just so that scent could be used in your home as well as on your head. I have never used the oil, so I was curious about how intoxicating the smell would be. Upon first sniff, I thought the candle smelled pleasant, but I wasn't sure what all the fuss was about. I decided to light it and that is where this fragrance really came alive. Moody, and full of woodsy scents, this was totally a fragrance I could love. I kind of want to try the hair oil now!

Lark Fine Foods Salted Rosemary Shortbread, 2 cookies – Buy a full-size pack for $6.00

I absolutely love shortbread. I also love rosemary so I ripped this package open right away! These cookies are that perfect blend of salty and sweet that I crave. The texture was dense and had a snap, as all shortbread should, and the saltiness was divine.

Wine Themed Notepad - Listed Value $15.00

Finally, our last item is a cute notepad. Despite the arguably inflated listed value, I thought this was a nice addition to a wine box. Most people can use a little pad to jot down all of their grocery or packing lists, right?

The Verdict: The Vine Oh! Fall box was very cute. Both of the wines were tasty and the lifestyle items were very nice too! All together they made for a really nice night in: a bottle to sip, foot socks, a fragrant shower, and candlelight. Yes, please! The necklace was very on-trend and well made, and the shortbread and notepad were nice little treats too. I consistently enjoy this box when I get it because it has really nice curation and the wines are always tasty. It is a great choice for someone needing a little pampering pick-me-up!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, as of publication, this box is still available for purchase!

Value Breakdown: At $59.99 for this box, each of the 8 items has an average cost of $7.50.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.
