Naturisimo Vegan Discovery Box August 2019 Review

This box didn't come with a traditional info sheet, but it did come with a reminder to sign up for their newsletter. It looks like their discovery boxes will be offered monthly, which is a delight.

Inika Vegan Lipstick in Naked Kiss, 4.2 g - Full-Size! Retail Value $19.86 ($29 AUD)

This is a really lovely lipstick- it is a soft mauve-pink with a hint of shimmer, and it looks like my natural lip color but better. The lipstick is really comfortable to wear, too, thanks to the jojoba, avocado, and argan oil formula.

Bellapierre Mineral Blush Powder in Desert Rose, 4 g - Full-Size! Retail Value $19.65 (£16)

Bellapierre shows up in a lot of subscription boxes and I have a bit of brand fatigue from that, but this mineral blush sheers out really well for just a hint of color and has added SPF 15 protection. I thought the shade included paired well with both lip colors in this box, too.

Weleda Tinted Lip Balm in Rose, 10 ml - Full-Size! Retail Value $8.54 (£6.95)

This is a solid nude lip balm that was moisturizing to my lips. Rose is a soft pink nude that matches my natural lip color well, and while this was a bit thick I didn’t find it to be sticky.

Here is the lip balm swatched below the lipstick and above the blush.

Naturisimo grown alchemist

Grown Alchemist Body Cleanser, 50 ml - Estimated Value $4.40 (Buy the full-size 500 ml version for $44)

I was excited to see this luxe brand featured this month, and this did not disappoint. It smelled amazing thanks to the notes of chamomile and bergamot, and it didn’t dry out my skin.

Naturisimo hair milk

John Masters Organics Rose & Apricot Hair Milk, 1 oz - Retail Value $9

This is a leave-in treatment made with rose water, apricot oil, and Cupaucu butter. The first ingredient on this silicone-free product is aloe vera, and my hair soaked this up without becoming heavy. This also paired really well with the Bouclème creme that came in this box, but if you don't have dry hair I wouldn't use both at once.

Antipodes Divine Face Oil, 10 ml - Estimated Value $9.41 (Buy the full-size 30 ml version for £28.39)

I’m a big fan of this facial oil- it’s light and non-greasy while still packing a hydrating punch to my dry skin. When my skin needs a strong perk me up I like to make a hydration sandwich by applying a face oil and then a sheet mask and then jade rolling until my wrists get tired. This always leaves my skin glowing, and this face oil worked perfectly for that.

Naturisimo Rahua

Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask, 10 ml - Estimated Value $2.90 (Buy the full-size 200 ml version for $58)

Even though this was only a foil packet, it was enough for me to use it as a deep conditioning mask to my hair. I liked the hydration this sunflower oil-based mask provided to my dry hair, and it smelled really lovely thanks to the lavender and eucalyptus oils.

Naturisimo terrenova

Terranova Life Drink Sachet, 12 g - Buy the full-size 227 g version for $35.19 (£28.65)

This is made with freeze-dried berries and greens, plant-based protein, probiotics, and digestive enzymes. I could see this being appealing to those that have trouble getting their daily fruit and veggies, and it blended into a smoothie well (which is really the only way I will consume products like this).

Naturisimo sukin

Sukin Facial Moisturiser, 20 ml - Estimated Value $1.60 (Buy the full-size 125 ml version for $10.00)

Sukin is another brand I’ve tried before in previous Naturisimo boxes, but I am happy to see new products from them. This moisturizer is made with aloe, rosehip oil, jojoba oil, and vitamin E, and I thought both the performance and the ingredients list of this are rather stellar for how affordable of a moisturizer this is.

Nourish Antioxidant Multitasking Super Balm, 0.5 oz - Retail Value $14.50

This is a multi-purpose balm that can be used to cleanse or as a hydrating mask. I chose to use it as the first step in a double cleanse and I really liked how gentle and hydrating it was. I’ve liked every product from Nourish London I have tried, so liking this is no surprise to me.

Naturisimo boucle

Bouclème Curl Cream, 100 ml - Retail Value $15

I’ve tried the Bouclème curl conditioner thanks to a precious box, and I liked this soft-hold cream. It is free of sulfates and silicones, and it helped my curls to be defined, soft, and shiny. Since we have pretty high humidity where I live I followed with a gel to reduce frizz, but my hair didn’t feel weighed down with this combo.

Naturisimo indie lee

Indie Lee Rosehip Cleanser, 0.5 oz – Estimated Value $4.05 (Buy the full-size 4.2 oz version for $34)

I’ve tried this before and I’m happy to have another sample for travel. This is by far one of the most gentle cleansers I have ever used, and it’s perfect for sensitive skin while still being effective.

The Verdict:  Naturisimo consistently puts out winners, and this month was no exception. None of the samples felt especially tiny (even the foil packet from Rahua was enough for one deep conditioning treatment), and I love that we received multiple full-sized products. Value-wise, this box has a total value of $108.91 for everything except the supplement, which I think is amazing for an ingredient-conscious box that came with free international shipping.

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you sign up today? No, this box has unfortunately sold out.

Value Breakdown: At $21.68 USD for this box you're paying about $1.80 for each of the 12 items!

I really wished I’d ordered one, for some reason I was thinking that the products were tiny sample sizes. I receive their newsletter so will order when the new box comes out.

I am so mad that I went back and forth on this box (because of silly product overload). When I finally went to pull the trigger they were sold out.

I don’t even want to read this review…..

Got the last 3 boxes and they are so, so good. That lipstick is such a flattering shade. And just used that balm to remove my makeup after reading this. Sign up for the mailing list so you don’t miss out!

Hi Jessica, you mentioned that it looks like these boxes will be available monthly, and I just wanted to confirm that these have been monthly boxes for 2 to 3 years (at least that’s how long I’ve been getting them off & on). I think September’s box will be coming out soon…. I’m thinking this coming Sunday since they usually come out on Sunday’s toward mid-month, so keep an eye out! 🙂

Lee

They have actually been quarterly boxes prior to this year, not monthly.

Luna

It feels like they came out much more frequently, especially last year, but maybe that’s why it feels like I’ve been getting them off & on since maybe I wasn’t getting them on a monthly basis? lol So maybe I really have been getting all of them for the past couple of years prior to this year. 😉 I know I took a break though earlier this year, and started up again about 3 boxes ago. 🙂

They need to start a subscription. I know I’d bite!

I’m surprised you didn’t mention how amazing the nourish balm smells! It’s like heaven in a jar for me. I loved everything from this box, as well. Definitely a winner!
