So anxiously awaiting December first, luckily I will be on a business trip the second half of November which will help me not getting into it.

The calendar is gorgeous, I sent a pic to a friend and she fell in love with the box, so next year I will be refilling it as a xmas gift for her 🙂 I did try to sneak a peak in one of the drawers (or maybe 3) everything is nicely wrapped in tissue paper so no cheating for me after all, lol. I hope everyone enjoys their calendars!

I’m thrilled with mine. It’s absolutely gorgeous and arrived fast.

Liz, do you know anything about Look Fantastic? Has anyone ever had problems with them before? They keep doing this to me…

I placed another order yesterday, received a confirmation email, Look Fantastic sent the pending charge to my credit card which was approved (for reference, my credit card is a very reputable long standing card, my billing and shipping address are the same and I have been with this credit card for decades).
Since they cancelled my order in September the day after I ordered, I went in to check on it today….and my account has been deleted again. No email, nothing. I called customer service and they confirmed that they shut down my account again and cancelled my new order but couldn’t tell me why until they spoke to the security team & manager who then said the security team would only email me, no one will discuss it with me on the phone. Isn’t that odd or am I crazy?
This is the email I received but only in response to my demanding an answer today, customer service said they didn’t send it, the security team did, and I can’t reply to it:

Hello Rochelle XXXX,

Thanks for placing your order with Lookfantastic USA, order number : XXXXXXXXX

Please do not reply to us at this e-mail address as we will not receive your message. This is an automated response.

A customer service colleague has sent you the following message:

Hello,

Thank you for placing order XXXXXX with us.

We use a third-party security system that screens all of our orders. Your order was flagged for further checks as we cannot see that you are registered at the billing/delivery address, therefore for security purposes to help us proceed with your order, we would like to verify your details in the form of a utility bill or credit / debit card statement dated within the last three months for the card used and a copy of photo ID.

Please ensure your name and address are clearly legible and that any sensitive data is hidden then send this to [email protected]. Please include your order number in the subject line so we can resolve this quicker for you.

We understand this may be frustrating, however this is a security measure put in place to protect both us and you as a customer.

If there is anything else that we can do, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.

Kind regards,

lookfantastic

And yet, no member of their team will discuss it with me. I’m obviously not going to send them copies of my drivers license with a photo and my utility/credit or debit card bills, lol. We’ve lived in our home for decades, no one else lives here & it’s a single family home properly listed for taxes, credit, census everything I can think of. A google search pulls me up easily at our address with tons of info on our home, me, my husband & kids with nothing to contradict it. And I know everything is in order on our credit report for our address as well.

Needless to say here, but I do a ton of online shopping and my billing/shipping address is on file everywhere & I swear I don’t have a double life somewhere else ;).

If anyone has any insight to what is going on, I’d love to hear it out of sheer curiosity. I’m obviously not sending any photo ID or documents via email that could compromise our security, so I guess I’m not getting an advent calendar! 🙂

Hi Rochelle,
I had a similar experience with beautybridge. They asked for the same id requirements as you’ve listed here. They referred to the value of my order being above a certain $ threshold. They wouldn’t tell me what the threshold was. I hadn’t heard of these requirements from any other company and found it totally invasive. I asked if there was some other way, e.g.paypal, to validate my bona fides. No response from them – they just cancelled my order. I was mortified. About a year later I tried ordering with beautybay. They asked for the same identifying info. Maybe they asked more nicely, but I just thought, well, ok, and emailed it through. This may be a bit more common with UK companies when dealing with first-time customers? Anyway, it was the beginning of a very happy and fruitful relationship with beautybay. It turned out to be a weird, but worth while, undertaking. I haven’t had the same issues with Lookfantastic but I first ordered from them about 5 years ago. Sounds like their fraud prevention policies are ramping up. You can always try a smaller order, maybe using PayPal, as a low risk entry to their database. When I’ve supplied these details to reputable companies at first, I have never been asked again. HTH

Thank you all for your help. I’m glad that it wasn’t just me. Sorry I forgot to come back on here and comment. I took the advice given here and went back on & was able to order. It arrived without getting canceled and I love it. Thanks again, our MSA readers are the best!

The same thing had happened to me about a year ago, back and forth with CS and no resolution. I called my CC company as well and they of course blamed it on Look Fantastic!! Go figure. I then went and tried ordering with a different card, and no problem. Hope you can get it to work, love my box!!

Liz Cadman

Oh no! That is SO weird. I’ve never had any interaction from Look Fantastic like that, but that is so frustrating. I’m sorry!

My comment didn’t post so trying again….

Has anyone received their Look Fantastic advent calendar yet?

I ordered mine on 9/6, received my confirmation email the same day & just found out today that Look Fantastic cancelled my order on 9/7 and I had no idea!
I called today to ask when it would ship & was told that the security team cancelled my order but they couldn’t tell me why. I haven’t received any emails about a security breach or an order cancellation…nothing from LF since the order confirmation email.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Laura

I got mine yesterday. I don’t recall a shipping email, it just showed up.

Reply ButtonReply

Nan

I got mine yesterday, too. I did receive a shipping confirmation on October 3.

Redhed36

That’s crazy I’ve never seen anything like that happen. I wonder if there was glitch at your account was marked as compromised.

Reply ButtonReply

Rochelle

I haven’t either. And they won’t tell me anything. That’s the weird part.

Rochelle

Has anyone received their Look Fantastic advent calendar yet?

I was wondering when I would get mine & haven’t received a shipping email, so today I contacted them to ask when it was going to ship. I was told that my order was cancelled the day after I ordered it, which was over a month ago, by the security team.

The customer service rep couldn’t tell me any more than that but said they would contact me via email. I had ordered the advent calendar on 9/6, received a confirmation email the same day, then apparently the security team cancelled my order on 9/7 for unknown reasons without ever sending me an email.

Has this happened to anyone else? They didn’t notify me of a security breach & never sent me an order cancellation email either. This whole time I’ve been waiting patiently for my shipping email & I don’t even have an order any more. I have no idea what happened & can’t get any answers.

If anyone else hasn’t received their calendar or a shipping email yet, I recommend that you contact Look Fantastic to check on it!

Mine arrived today! Now I just have to wait till December to start opening it.

The Elemis cream alone is over the cost of the box. Definitely worth the cost, if it fits in your budget

I love the LF monthly boxes. The items always seem well worth the money spent. I caved and bought this calendar. It will be my first Advent calendar ever! I’m really excited.
I used ‘subsadvent’ to take $15 off of the $99 price. But on orders of$90 or more they are including a free package worth$76, so I added an extra product to my cart for$8 to bring my total back up to just over$90 so that I could get the free package. Great deal all around in my opinion!

Karen

Be careful, if you do not receive with in 30 days of notice of shipment contact them. I never received mine last year, contacted them in day 45, no response, contacted them again and was informed that after 30 days they have no way of tracking shipment. So out of luck! I loved this monthly box, and the previous years advent calendar(2017) which showed up 6 months late but will never order again with such poor customer service.

PeachBellini

Speaking of shipping, I was told these are in high demand and they couldn’t even give me a vague estimate of when to expect mine, though I ordered last month and the estimated delivery date came and went. When I asked if I could get an idea of whether it could be this month, November or even December, the response was “Sorry about that. Anything else I can help you with?” -_-

LadyblueReloaded

Hi there,

I already received my September Look Fantastic Beauty Box.
On the spine of the booklet, I found a private code ( different for each customer), which is a discount code for their Advent Calendar.
I’m in Belgium.
Idk if the discount code will be different for their U.S. customers.
Idk yet the cost of the Advent Calendar, nore the amount of the discount.

TYSM, 🎀dear Amanda🎀 for your so clearly detailed list of the products : it’s so helpful and sweet of you!!! 🎄👍👍👍🎄⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🎄
It depends upon the price but I assume I won’t resist, for the 3rd year, in a row and will pick it up.

It’s true that not that not the entire LFAC’s products are amazing.
However,
-the full-size Avant night moisturizer,
-the day Elemis Collagen moisturizer,
-the EGF serum,
-the Mellow full-size liquid lipstick, which shade looks lovely and flattering,
-the Emma Hardie moisturizer,
-the 2 Luxie brushes,
-the Molton Brown shower gel,
-the Omorovicza Queen of Hungary mist ( which I daily use ! )
are widely worth it, to my taste.

So, as the Advent Calendar isn’t on sale yet, in my part of Europe, as soon as it’s available, I jump on it !!! Thanks again, Amanda ! 👏 🎄 🎁 😉

Xoxo

I loved the last two year’s calendars from Look Fantastic and am looking forward to this year’s. I don’t read the spoilers and really look forward to a surprise each day starting December first. This year I already have planned to purchase at least 3 different calendars and so will be having a beauty treat with my morning coffee, and then treats when I get home from a long day at work. Anything that does not work for me becomes a stocking stuffer for a friend or family member.

The code for subscribers is “subsadvent” which takes $15 off the $99 price.

This year comes early for advert calendar. So ipsy ultimate October will be my last beauty sub this year, and I will start to save for my advert calendar. It was so fun to get one or two from different company. I got from Beauty expert, look fantastic last year.

FYI – I just clicked the link and it’s showing as $99 (not $115) and appears to be free shipping.

Do we know for sure that the US version will be the same?

The monthly boxes are the same world wide, so I would assume the advent calendar would be as well.

I am definitely interested in this calendar. There are only a few items I don’t care to have like the Living Proof, Eyeko, and Omorovicza Queen.

I’d love to see someone add up how much this calendar is worth

In case this will help anyone…I ordered on October 2 and received my calendar yesterday, October 18. I live near the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
I did get a shipping dispatch email with a tracking; however, it would not ever work on the Royal Mail site. I emailed LF to find out status around October 10, and they wrote back within 16 hours to let me know it had reached New York, so it was in the stateside process. It still took until the 18th to get from NY to MS. So, I suppose patience is key. Contact LF to see your order status. As an aside, I had to do the same with Feelunique about my Lumene calendar, although FU did not send a shipping email. Their customer service, though, responded within 6 hours with shipping status.

Now, about the calendar! If you’re on the fence, don’t be; the calendar is gorgeous and arrived in perfect condition shipped in a heavy carton and bubble wrap around the calendar. I’m waiting to start to savor the day to day surprises, but I did check each drawer to be certain they all contained an item. Don’t worry about spoilers…each item is wrapped in indigo tissue paper. It’s a lovely experience.

For me, this tops continuing with many other monthly sub disappointents. I have one for my birthday month, November. Then I have *my* Christmas with the Lumene. I’ve kept my Ipsy GB on annual, and I’ve decided to resubscribe my all-time fave, Beautyfix. I’m done with the rest. I had good and bad experiences…mostly good…however, I know what I need and like now, and where I want to invest my money. I’ll get an advent or two each year as well, for a special treat. I wish I had been able to shower my Mom with these lovely advents when she was still here. I couldn’t afford it (and neither could she). This would have been a treat for her as she never got to experience any quality skin care, yet she had the prettiest skin I’ve ever seen.

Get this advent. You will love it. Also, I found a 20% coupon online, just Google for the current offer.
