Kyut Box September 2019 Review

Kyut Box comes with an info card that has the theme (Vacation Bae) on one side, and a rundown of the included items on the other.

Klei Beauty Cleanse Foaming Face Wash, 1 oz. - Retail Value $12.00

I am all about trying new cleansers lately and can't say I've seen a dry powder foaming cleanser before now. Made with SCI (a coconut oil-based cleanser), coconut milk, rice bran, and chamomile with French rose and white clay, this powdered cleanser is easy and fun to use while remaining quite gentle. Only a small amount is needed in the palm of your hand to start. Simply add a tiny bit of water to create enough of a paste to begin massaging into your face. It'll softly foam and while it doesn't smell particularly exciting (mostly clay), it did leave my skin feeling super soft.

Mavie Cosmetics Take Me To Santorini Eyeshadow Palette - Retail Value $23.00

I'm really enjoying the bright colors from this palette! Greens, blues, oranges, and yellows bring vibrancy to what could have been another nude and pink collection. While I don't think I'd want this as my one and only, I think it's a really fun addition to my arsenal of more muted shades. There are five mattes and four metallic shades with an accompanying mirror that make up this "Take Me To Santorini" travel collection. I never would have thought these colors went together, but somehow they do. The darker colors seem to hold their pigment more so than the light ones with the nude "sandy beach" and white "cycladic" serving as great base colors. "Golden streaks" might be my favorite matte with "drift" taking the cake for the metallics for me. These seemed to fade a little as the day dragged on, but overall I'm impressed with the pigment here and am stoked to test out more of these colors for fall.

Glaminizers Radiance Under Eye Serum, 8.5 mL - Retail Value $18.00

Well isn't this just a beautiful eye serum? Filled with dried jasmine, lavender, and calendula flowers to give it a unique look, this natural oil-based serum is made with carrot seed, almond, and jojoba oils, along with organic rose flower extract, and lavender and sweet orange essential oils. It smells fantastic and aims to reduce wrinkles and puffiness. This will take prolonged use to show any results, but I love the feel of it when in use and the scent is enough to make me continue using.

OMFG Cosmetics Bullet Proof Mascara - Retail Value $16.00

The name of this brand (OMFG Cosmetics) made me giggle but at the same time, not take them completely seriously. After one wear though, I have to say that this is a pretty on-point mascara. The wand has short rubbery bristles and delivers a perfect amount of product to my lashes. I liked that it gave them a defined and lengthened look without any mess whatsoever. This mascara is also buildable so if they lose their boldness through the day, just throw on another coat to refresh. Color me impressed.

Verdict: I didn't know what to expect from this vegan beauty subscription but Kyut Box did a great job. Even though I wasn't familiar with the brands, I was impressed by the wear of the eyeshadow palette and mascara and enjoyed using the eye serum and cleanser. The sizes are full-size or deluxe and everything is made without harming animals while donating to a worthy cause. So far, so good on this one! The retail value of the four products I received is $69.00 which is $40 over the cost of the box. Well done, Kyut Box!

This looks like a great box! I love the even mix of makeup and skincare. I definitely would’ve subscribed if this particular box was still available. Ipsy’s on probation with me right now so if they don’t make me smile or at least breathe a sigh of relief this month, I may very well replace my Plus subscription with this one.

Thanks for the info. I just now saw it but the day I read this review I sent them a message. I didn’t get a response until today but it looks like they’re going to let me start with this box. My Ipsy Plus was HORRIBLE so this is definitely my replacement. I feel better about the products included in this subscription anyway.

I’m also not big into eyeshadows, but I like that the box is vegan so I think I’ll give it a try and hope October has a good selection. I would’ve been happy with the mascara and eye roller in this box, and am excited to see what October will bring.

Me too! I hope Kyut starts putting out spoilers.

This palette is included in the latest Bombay and Cedar LE box, which makes me glad I didn’t buy it – I don’t care for more eyeshadows, especially in a cardboard packaging.

I prefer cardboard packaging as it’s more biodegradable, this earth can’t regenerate plastic fast enough for the overwhelming production….Plus being vegan is also about being concerned about the environment for me and not putting any more burden on a stressed planet whenever possible.
