Now up to $199!

Once companies started to realize that some of you will actually pay for samples they ran with it. Just because it comes in a cute box doesn’t make it worth it.

$250 for samples?!! The only calendar I ever buy is the rituals becuase it’s actually a good deal plus it goes on sale for 50 off. Crazy to spend that much money on samples you can get for free from barneys!!

Dee

I haven’t heard of Rituals. What does it normally cost, What type of products? thanks

Luna

Barneys sells Elemis? I never noticed them before there and didn’t see them on their site. If Barneys gave out these types & sizes of samples for free with no purchase I’d be all in! 😀

Ipsy Shopper has an Elemis deal for $16 this week too if anyone’s interested. It’s available for 4 more days or until supplies run out. You don’t need to be an Ipsy subscriber (I think), but you do need to make an account.

• Superfood Facial Wash 30 ml

• Superfood Day Cream 20 ml

• Superfood Night Cream 20 ml

I got these items for free 2 weeks ago. 5 bucks s/h.

Lena

I’m pretty sure you can get that Ipsy set from Elemis website for free, just pay $5 for shipping.

Nan

Got my free samples already. Great deal for $5 shipping!

Nan

Thanks for the info. I had no idea they were offering the samples for free.

Luna

Unfortunately, the day cream and night cream are in the same category so you can only choose one, but maybe they’ll allow two separate orders to get 6 samples, including the 3 above in the Ipsy offer for $10? 🙂

Luna

Good point! I forgot about that Ipsy offer 🙂 I was hoping so much it was going to be full size products when it first came out, but they’re still nice sized samples!

MissPippa

I can’t believe that is the correct price. I like Elemis but not that much.

Love Elemis & would love to have this, but I agree with others here –way too expensive for samples.

Reply ButtonReply

Tracy

And the crazy thing is that it’ll sell out. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Reply ButtonReply

Nan

Really? Yikes! There must be a lot of ladies out there with more money than me lol.

Bunny

$250? One can buy a full year to Allure, Boxycharm, Causebox, Journee…yes, I know it’s comparing apples to oranges, but at the end of the day, it’s skincare. It gets used up and those boxes offer comparable products once in awhile.

shakingmyhead

I so agree! What a ridiculous price!

Reply ButtonReply

Daria

Most of these advent calendars are such a money grab…I can’t believe that anyone would pay these prices.

Reply ButtonReply

DawnS

Does this seem just crazy expensive? I feel like I said that a ton last year about some of the advent calendars too.

amarante

Yes crazy expensive. I have gotten some Elemis in boxes and it’s nice but not nicer than other stuff that is theoretically used for the same purposes.

At that price point, I don’t know why one would want a bunch of random samples. As a gift, I would get something else as I don’t think most people would perceive it as a $250 expenditure.

But I am not singling out this box specifically as there are other pricey boxes – many of them “lifestyle” – and I can’t figure out why anyone wants random tchotchkes and purses sent to them when they could take the money and buy exactly what they want. Not to mention that most of the stuff being sold looks like random stuff from TJ Maxx

Ash

That price is outrageous.

Chantel

Liz- do any of these have SPF?

AnninVA

Can you get samples from the elemis website without making a purchase? I’m on their email list and know they always seem to have a deal for samples with purchase.

Reply ButtonReply

Tracy

Yes, you can. Usually you have to just pay shipping (a small amt…can’t remember how much), but last fall their website had an issue and sent a ton of them out free.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I haven’t seen it in a while (like maybe since earlier this year), but I know Elemis has an occasional offer where you can choose like 5 deluxe samples for “free” but you have to pay $5 shipping… or something along those lines. Whatever that deal is it’s a really good one! 🙂

AnninVA

That would be a great deal! I will keep a look out for that one!

I love Elemis but there’s no way I need that much in my life. And $250? Pffft… easy pass for that price.

Reply ButtonReply

Nat

So much money. No, I will not be getting this. Even though I probably spend that much on different boxes per month, I just can’t imagine spending that much in one go. I do have a couple of marine cream tubes I got from some other boxes and I do like using it. Also, have a couple of cleansing balms and they work great.

Reply ButtonReply

Tracy

Correct me if I’m wrong, but are most of these products sample size? I can see the 50mL Pro-Collagen Marine Cream is full-size, but most of the remainder is small.

You can get samples on the Elemis website every month or two that seem to be the same size…I have a bag full of them.

I cannot imagine paying $250 for this.

Cynthia

How are you getting more than one sample set? I haven’t been able to order another set since my first order last fall or winter. It seems they limit them to one per household now. I’ve tried using different emails.

Reply ButtonReply

Tracy

Last year they didn’t look at the “ship to” address. It seems like they may have updated their system to catch multiple orders to one household.

I posted about this exact deal in the FFF community in Oct 2018, which turned into a page for any good deal…not just the Elemis offer. Anyway, I think the post is on version 5 maybe now? There’s a limit of 10,000 comments/thread so it really took off and enabled quite a bit of spending!! Lol. Anyway, some people ordered something like 20-30 times and got a ton of product.

There was a second offer posted in Nov 2018 (I think) that allowed a coupon code for free shipping to be added with nothing else in the cart besides the samples and it worked for overnight shipping, too.

It was absolutely bananas because people got product worth $1000s of dollars completely for free WITH free overnight shipping. This was the straw that broke the camel’s back and they changed the site. To be clear, I was NOT one of the people who ordered excessively; I think I placed 2-3 orders just to see if they went through; some did order an unreal amount of stuff…I couldn’t believe it when they posted the photos. They are samples, but they contain a fair amount of product (eg, when the toner and micellar water is there, that stuff latest me for a good 2-3 weeks for each bottle).

They still do the free ones every month or two (I check all the time) by searching for “Elemis free minis” — sometimes other search terms work so I’ve been able to collect a decent chunk of what’s offered here for $250 (!!!) by using those deals. They are a great size to travel with and my favorite items is the cleansing balm, hands down.

Tracy

Luna just posted a link to another.

You can get more than one if you use a different email address.

Luna

Yes, the products in this calendar are mostly all deluxe samples.

THAT is crazy to pay THAT MUCH ( a car pymt for some) for deluxe samples!!! Wow!!
