SnackNation July 2019 Review

First, there is a card explaining how you can save on your next box by filling out a survey.

HighKey Snacks Keto Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies, 0.5 g - Buy a pack of three 2.25 oz bags for $13.97

These low carb cookies weren't bad, just a little odd at first. They are primarily almond flour and coconut oil, with some chocolate chips. They didn't have much of a crunch like many cookies and were a little crumbly. I feel like they would be more delicious crumbled into yogurt than how I enjoyed them alone. They did certainly hit my sweet cravings in terms of tastes, the texture was just new.

Craize Sweet Corn Chips, 1 oz – Buy 12 pouches for $21.00

Ok, these I loved. I have an admittedly bland palette and I love subtle flavors. You could easily argue that alone, these corn chips are bland. I personally found them to be sweet and flavorful. I enjoyed them alone but they would easily lend themselves to guac and salsa, hummus, or any other beloved topping.

think! Creamy Peanut Butter High Protein Bar, 2.1 oz –  Buy a 10 pack for $14.49

I have had these bars before and always enjoyed them when I was in a pinch for lunch or was just generally feeling like I needed a protein boost. As far as bars go, I like the texture of these. They don't feel gritty or crumbly like so many protein bars can and they are very satisfying. Peanut butter and chocolate is always a winning combo for me.

Nut-Thins Cheddar Cheese Snack Thins, 2 oz – Buy a 12 pack for $33.48

I didn't love these. The almond cracker texture was slick underneath the cheese and there was an aftertaste I couldn't quite place. I did enjoy the cheese powder though, which is no shocker since I am a cheese addict in all forms.

Satisbite BBQ Vegan Protein Chips, 1.5 oz – Buy 12 bags for $24.49

Wow! If you love BBQ flavored chips, you will love these. They have so much flavor compared to many other BBQ chips out there and boast 10 g of protein per serving. They have a delightful crunch and I could totally see myself buying these in the future.

Crapola Granola, 2 oz– Buy a 12 oz bag for $5.95

Finally, our last item is granola. I am a big granola fan and I love eating it with almond milk as a cereal replacement. This blend has cranberries and apple pieces which give it a deliciously sweet side with a little tartness!

Verdict: My first SnackNation had some winners and some misses too. I loved the granola, BBQ chips, corn chips, and the protein bar. The cheddar crisps and cookies were not my favorites, but at least they were healthier than other options? I suspect this will be one of those subscriptions where I might feel divided on all of the snacks but I am hoping having them available will help me make more conscious snack choices.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

This box seems to be a direct knock off of the Wal-Mart ” Goodie” box a lot of us received for a couple of years… maybe a bit more or less time. I loved that box and would have paid for it. 🙂

This is so inexpensive that it has just a little bit of this and a little bit of that, but honestly, I’d eat these snacks before I’d touch a bite of Love With Food’s pinto bean potato chips or their avocado fruit roll ups. ( for example).

“Crapola” is an interesting brand name.

I am not sure why these guys keep Love with Food around (SnackNation bought Love with Food awhile back) because honestly the two boxes are pretty similar these days.
