July 2019 Sisley Paris "Botanical Beauties" Box Review

Each box comes with a card indicating the theme of the box. This month seems focused on the undeniable skincare benefits of powerful plant and flower extracts.

Now, let's check out the items!

Every month, the products come nestled inside a satin pouch.

Floral Toning Lotion, 30 ml - Estimated Value $12.36 (Buy a full-size 250 ml version for $103.00)

I absolutely adore liquid toning lotions! I use them a lot and I even sometimes will add some to a misting bottle for spritzing on the go. This will likely end up in a mister because I want to make it last as long as possible and sometimes those cotton rounds or balls just absorb so much more product than is necessary. This formula is super gentle and alcohol-free, making it perfect for sensitive skin. It smells like herbs and flowers!

Black Rose Cream Mask, 10 ml - Estimated Value $27.00 (Buy a full-size 60 ml version for $162.00)

Anything from the Black Rose line gets me excited. The formulas are just so over-the-top nourishing and a dream for my dry skin. This is one of those masks which you can wipe off or leave on, making it an ideal choice for my nighttime routine. It is a heavier cream that smells like rose petals and leaves my skin literally radiant in the morning.

Youth Anti-Pollution, 4 ml - Estimated Value $19.80 (Buy a full-size 40 ml version for $198.00)

If you are (like me) a fan of that strong herbal Sisley scent, this product has it in spades. This is a medium-weight cream that is very hydrating without being heavy. You can wear it both morning or night but I chose to use it as a day cream under my normal makeup. My skin looked even and stayed hydrated all day without compromising my makeup.

Revitalizing Straightening Shampoo, 8 ml – Estimated Value $3.00 (Buy a full-size 200 ml for $75.00)

This shampoo was ok, though I admit I don't generally enjoy straightening formulas. My hair has an almost wave that I try to encourage! I will say that it left my scalp feeling extra clean without being itchy or dry, and my hair had a nice sheen to it.

Izia Perfumed Body Lotion, 8 ml – Estimated Value $6.13 (Buy a full size 150 ml for $115.00)

This is one of my fave Sisley products! I love the Izia fragrance because it is a blend of rose and citrus that is anything but sweet. It is actually a little more on the bitter end, but in a really great way! This lotion is lightweight but the perfume really lingers on my skin.

Verdict: Sisley had a value of around $68.29 for this box. (Keep in mind I come to this estimation based on the full-size values!) I enjoyed almost every sample, with the exception of the shampoo, which still wasn't something I hated by any means. The sample sizes were on the generous side this round, especially per Sisley standards, which felt like a treat!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Anyone else get the email that the August box is running late? I still don’t have mine but I got the email saying it was delayed.

Yes, I got the same email, and I still haven’t received my box yet. I also renewed my sub about a week ago, so I feel like I might get my sub later than others anyways.

Mine came today so you should be getting yours soon!

I love this sub! Even if I cancel all my others, I will keep this one. There’s something exciting about getting these little black boxes in the mail. It’s a small price to pay for a luxury experience. Well…unless you can’t help but buy the full size.

I accumulated 3 samples each of the Izia body lotion and perfume from my sub, and I was using them both together for about two weeks until I finished the lotion (I only used the body lotion on my arms and a little goes a long way), and now I’m finishing up the last two perfume samples (I just do two spritzes on my wrist). I absolutely fell in love with how lovely they smelled together (funny enough, I feel like the lotion & perfume smell slightly different from one another… the lotion more foral & girly while the perfume smells more unisex to me). I’d also consider getting the lotion & perfume too!

I also accumulated two bottles of the toner through my sub, and I recently started using it so I’ve only made a bit of dent in my 1st bottle. I’m using it as a typical toner (with a cotton round), and I’m loving it sooo much! It’s so incredibly soothing & gentle. I wouldn’t be mad if they repeated this anytime soon. lol

This is a great idea! I haven’t ordered the subscription yet, my only hesitation is the size of samples but if you get duplicates then I could wait until I have a few to start using it. Thanks for sharing.

Luna, I love this scent too, and I also only use the lotion on my arms. The scent lasts all day. I also agree that the lotion is softer than the perfume. The lotion is next on my list of things to splurge on. Im always happy to see it repeated in this sub. It’s the only beauty sub I get anymore.

I love this sub and I’ve loved every sample I got! If I lived near Nordstrom’s or a Sisley counter I’d definitely pick these up. But since the nearest one is 2 hours away I’ll gladly pay $10 a month for these.

I absolutely adore the scent of the Izia perfumed body lotion. It’s one of the best fragrances ever, IMO. I may have to eventually buy the full size. I think it would last quite a while because the fragrance is strong, and you don’t need a lot. I use it more as a perfume than a body lotion.

I did notice anything about shampoo. $5 shampoo or this one $75 the effect was pretty much the same.

I love this sub! It’s always these fantastic products that I would never be able to afford otherwise. And it makes me slow down and really appreciate the product. ❤️

I love the toner! Great idea, I think I will move it to a mister as well, I hate losing even a drop to my rounds. 🙁 I haven’t had a chance to try to the Anti-Pollution cream yet, but that Rose mask left my skin feeling so soft and happy! I generally hate rose scented products as it can feel “old”, but something about this scent doesn’t bother me.

I love this! Really looks like a fun way to enjoy some of what is out of my league! If I ever get my product overload in control this is top of my list.

I am a huge Sisley fan and when I lived close to a Nordstrom would get samples all the time. If money was not an issue, I would use this line. I just can’t justify spending money on samples they give away for free.

I agree. I get handfuls of free samples from my local Sisley counter and they don’t require you to buy anything to get them. I guess it depends on the sales person but paying for these items is a little silly.
